PoliticsRe: Okonjo-iweala Urges Nigerians Tobear With The Nature Of The Economy by Oyedey4u(m): 10:09pm On Oct 21, 2014
Trailblazer1:
I just watched her on NTA Abuja, give a break down analysis of the economy.
As a financial operator, I was highly impressed with her performance.

I wonder how and where the opposition still find reasons to accuse her and the performance of GEJ on the economy.
Maybe some us (NIGERIANS) needs to study ECONOMICS... That will help us to understand the Economy of Nations...
That will also help us to understand the cheap lies of the oPposition led parties on the state of the ruling government. Only in Nigeria have I seen that the OPPOSITION doesn't see anything good in EVERY ACTION taken by the ruling Government...

FOR YOUR INFORMATION....
You are on your OWN since time immemorial... So look for what thing you can do, (service you can render inyour community, that will earn you a living) to improve your life.....
REASON is--- study this topics in ECONOMICS-- National Income, you have GDP, GNI, NNP, GNP and all others under it.
When the Economic calculations says the country is doing well, the masses may not see it at all, yet it is the buying, selling and consumption of the masses that gave birth to the data that shows positive growth... In other words... Those increases and improvements show BIG opportunities...

ACTION::
Stop complaining, SIT DOWN and THINK about how this portrayed growth will bring growth to my own pocket or business... Think about how to improve your present product or business or how to start a new service...

You will be surprised that in years to come, this WOMAN you are all abusing will be called back to serve as a minister of Finance and Economic Coordinator AGAIN (if Jesus Tarries)...

Did I hear you say WHY...? (they are Experts in their field)-- the best of Politician knows who to bring in and when..

Then think of Professor Jerry Gana and all the military head of states he served under plus even our democratic era.

#take_Responsibility for your well being and stop depending on GOVERNment

FamilyWords From A Father To A Son About Marriage by Oyedey4u(op): 9:56pm On Sep 15, 2014
By Richard Ogar
1. My son, if you keep spending on a woman and she never asked you if you’re saving or investing, and she keeps enjoying the attention, don’t marry her.
2. My son, a woman could be a good wife to you, some could be a good mother to your children but if
you’ve found a woman like a mother to you, your children and your family, please don’t let her go.
3. My son, don’t confine the position of your wife to the kitchen, where did you get that from ?
Even in our days, we had farm-lands where they worked every morning . . . that was our office.
4. My son, if I tell you that you’re the head of the house, don’t look at your pocket; look if you will see
a smile on your wife’s face.
5. My son, if you want to have a long life, let your wife be in-charge of your salary, it will be difficult for her to spend it when she’s aware of the home needs and bills to pay but if it’s in your care, she will keep you asking even when all has been spent.
6. My son, don’t ever beat your woman, the pain in her body is nothing to be compared to the wound on her heart and that means you may be in trouble
living with a wounded woman.

7. My son, now that you’re married, if you live a bachelor kind of life with your wife, you will soon be single again.
8. My son, in our days, we had many wives and many children because of our large farm-lands and many
harvests, there are hardly any land for farming anymore, so embrace your woman closely.
9. My son, under the cocoa tree that I did meet your mother could be your eateries and restaurants of nowadays, but remember, the closest thing we did there was to embrace each other.
10. My son, don’t be carried away when you start making more money, instead of spending on those tiny legs that never knew how hard you worked to get it, spend it on that woman that stood by you all along.

11. My son, when I threw little stones or whistled at the window of your mother father’s house, to call her out, it was not for sex, it was because I missed her so
much.
12. My son, remember, when you say your wife has changed, there could be something you’ve stopped
doing too.

13. My son, your mother, Asake rode the bicycle with me before I bought that tortoise car outside there, any woman that won’t endure with you in your little
beginning should not enjoy your riches.
14. My son, don’t compare your wife to any woman, there are ways she’s enduring you too and has she ever compared you to any man?

15. My son, there is this thing you people call feminism, well, if a woman claim to have equal right with you in the house, divide all the bills into two equal parts, take one part and ask her to start paying the other part.
16. My son, I met your mother a virgin and I took more yams to her father, if you don’t meet your wife
a virgin, don’t blame her, what I didn’t tell you is that our women had prestige.

17. My son, I didn’t send your sisters to school because I was foolish like many to think a female child won’t extend my family name, please don’t make that mistake, the kind of female achievers I see nowadays has made the male-gender an ordinary
tag.
18. My son, your mother have once locked up the cloth I was wearing and almost tore it because she
was angry, I did not raise my hand to beat her because of a day like this, so that I can be proud to
tell you that I never for once beat your mother.

19. My son, in our days, our women had more of natural beauty, though I wouldn’t lie to you, some had minor painting of their appellation mostly on their arms, the ones you people now call tattoo, but don’t forget that they didn’t expose any part of their
body like your women of nowadays.
20. My son, your mother and I are not interested in what happens in your marriage, try to handle issues
without always coming to us.

21. My son, remember I bought your mother’s first sewing machine for her, help your wife achieve her dreams just as you’re pursuing yours.
22. My son, don’t stop taking care of me and your mother, it’s a secret of growing old and having
children to take care of you too.

23. My son, pray with your family, there is a tomorrow you don’t know, talk to God that knows
everything, everyday.

All4good: It's unbelievable that a big town such as Auchi, and home to one of Nigeria's foremost Federal Polytechnic, doesn't have a Diamond bank. If this is true; I trust some responsible party in the Yello mobile money is reading this and noting that the scheme has already failed before take-off if airtime as a mode of funding the account is not incorporated. Though am aware you can also fund via MTN Agents, there is no point asking if you didn't find any? The answer is in the question grin

I guess there is a First Bank in Auchi? If yes, then the Glo Xchange Mobile Money may be the saviour for the unbanked villages/ communities in Nigeria. E bi like MTN go carry last for this Mobile money scheme tongue MTN shine your eye shocked

Thanks for the info @All4good. So let us all bombard both MTNNigeria and DiamondBank. With the message, if i can load the account with my recharge card or airtime credit. Then, the idea is bound to fail because i can't start looking for Mobile Money agent, but I can easily buy recharge card..

Also pls get on twitter and let us make it popular there mention both

All4good: These are tit-bits from my findings at Diamond/MTN offices today:

DIAMOND BANK BRANCH
I met with the operations head of the branch and when I asked him about the Diamond Yello Account, he seemed to have heard about the product but he had to put calls across to someone else every time I posed a new question.
First he confirmed that I could deposit and withdraw funds from within the bank. When I requested to know if I could deposit some funds and start processing an ATM card, he stepped aside to put a call through again, then later came back to inform me that only MTN Agent that serve as mobile money agent will issue the ATM cards that can be used in any bank ATM for withdrawals.

MTN DISTRIBUTOR
Their response to my enquires reveiled that only a few top staff are aware of the product and I was informed that they will ccommence activities in September (next month). And couldn't offer any further details of what to expect.

SUMMARY
The roll out this product is yet to happen. So any information at this time is highly presumptive. The essence of the MTN messages to dial *710# that we all received recently is a Pre-Product Launch campaign to get feedbacks. Now, one of those feedback is for us to inform them that the product will be useless if we can't fund our account with airtime.

However am in the picture that there will be a seminar for would be DYA Agents/Operators in Lagos tommorow. So after that meeting we should have a better picture. In the mean time I encourage everyone to send our suggestions/ expectations of the new product to the following emails: customercare@mtnnigeria.net , enquiries@diamondBank.com
whao.... You did a very wonderful job today. The best for this service is to make it easy to load the accound with airtime on the sim. This will be the winning edge and will ensure penetration and acceptance of the service by the unbanked and rural dwellers who don't have access to the internet.
Thank you for the good work.
By the way anyone sending both of them messages should include links to this forum thread so as to backup the suggestion.

All4good: I believe it wouldn't be long before we see that implemented. But we may also help the process of the "rising sun" by dropping it as a suggestion on Diamond Bank website.

I hope Diamond bank/MTN would be able to contend with the traffic on their servers once they implement Recharge card funding of DYA accounts. This singular move will take commerce to another unprecedented level in this populous country with enormous human energy; Nigeria .
Yes, I quite agree with you. I think we both can work together to help achieve this. I have a track record of helping them (Diamond Bank) to detect a bug in the testing phase of the DYA through their facebook address and i think they should be willing to accept our suggestion if we are able to present it to them formally...
NYSCEbola: Nysc Denies Suspension Of Orientation Course For Batch B Stream II by Oyedey4u(op): 7:38pm On Aug 18, 2014
By Caleb Ayansina ABUJA—

NATIONAL Youth Service Corps, NYSC, weekend, debunked a media report that the orientation course for prospective corps members deployed to crisis-prone states has been suspended due to the outbreak of Ebola Virus Disease, EVD. The scheme urged prospective corps members to ignore the report, saying orientation course for corps members deployed to Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa, Jigawa, Yobe and Borno states was still on course.

A statement by the NYSC Director of Press and Public Relation, Mrs Olubunmi Aderibigbe, described the report as misleading, asking corps members to report to their various camps for proper documentation. The statement read:

“The attention of the NYSC Management has been drawn to a news report aired on AIT to the effect that the orientation course for prospective corps members deployed to Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa, Jigawa, Yobe and Borno states has been suspended due to the outbreak of Ebola Virus Disease.

NYSCEBOLA: NYSC Denies Suspending 2014 Batch ‘B’ Orientation Due To Its Outbreak by Oyedey4u(op): 7:03am On Aug 16, 2014
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has stated as false reports aired on a national television station that the orientation course for prospective corps members deployed to Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa, Jigawa, Yobe and Borno States has been suspended due to the outbreak of Ebola Virus Disease.

In a press release signed by its management yesterday, the scheme explained that the orientation course for Stream II was suspended due to the federal government’s pronouncement that all schools currently on vacation should remain closed to avert the spread of the Ebola Virus Disease. It therefore stated that the report aired was misleading and capable of causing fear and panic among residents of the states mentioned.

‘’For the purpose of putting the record straight, management of the NYSC took a decision in July 2014 to shift the venues of orientation course for seven states; namely, Bauchi Gombe, Jigawa, Borno, Yobe Adamawa and Kano, to other states due to security challenges and the fears of parents whose wards are to be mobilised. Therefore the orientation course in these seven states and that of Osun as well as additional corps members for Lagos State was planned to hold from 1st to 22nd September, 2014 under Stream II of the 2014 Batch ‘B’,’’ it said.

PoliticsImportant Message From T.b. Joshua Concerning Ebola: by Oyedey4u(op): 11:10pm On Aug 09, 2014
TB Joshua Ministries
IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM T.B. JOSHUA
CONCERNING EBOLA:

“The world at large is full of fear. People want
to read about things in newspapers and watch things on the television that cause fear.

There is another news, apart from Boko Haram, that is causing fear in Nigeria - Ebola. Ebola is not Nigeria's challenge. We should not be hasty in considering it a challenge.

Our challenge is insecurity. It is a strange ailment. Imagine you carry an almond tree from Europe to Nigeria to plant it. It will not grow because of the weather. “That someone came from another country for an ECOWAS meeting and died of Ebola does not mean Nigeria is not safe. It is good to secure our nation, our environment but my concern is that we are going too far. It is affecting the image of the nation outside Nigeria. It is giving this nation a bad image, to the detriment of the name Nigeria.

“To the extent we talk bad about Nigeria, to
that same extent our name is destroyed. This is a country under repair because of what Boko Haram has done to the nation Nigeria. Don’t damage it more. This nation is safe. If there is any challenge, we have what it takes to surmount it.

“All of this is propaganda. When a little thing
happens, you exaggerate it because you are
looking for funds. How much can the international community give to us that can
redeem the name Nigeria we are soiling?

A beggar always remains a beggar. Africa, stop begging – you have what it takes to solve your problem. “What is the meaning of African unity?
The wound of an African is the wound of all
Africans. The wound of one is the wound of all. A nation that stands to solve the problem of other nations will become successful.

Successful people are problem solvers. “There is nothing bad in securing your nation using every proper means and educating your citizens.

That does not mean you should use it to destroy the name of Nigeria as if it is here. It’s not! Protection and prevention – that should be our assignment in Nigeria.” #TBJoshua

NYSCNYSC Redeploys Corps Members From Borno, Kano, Yobe, Others by Oyedey4u(op): 9:46pm On Jul 31, 2014
The National Youth Service Corps on Thursday announced the redeployment of corps members from seven northern states. The affected states are Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Jigawa, Kano and Yobe states. A statement on Thursday in Abuja by the Director of Public Relations in NYSC, Mrs. Bose Aderibigbe, said the decision followed the high rate of
insecurity in some parts of the North. The corps members are part of the 2014 Batch ‘B’ Orientation Course scheduled to commence next week Tuesday August 5, 2014. The NYSC said due to logistic reasons, the orientation course will be conducted in two streams for different states. The Stream One exercise will be conducted from
Tuesday, August 5 to Tuesday, August 26 2014 in Lagos, Ondo, Ekiti, Kwara, Oyo, Niger, Abia, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Benue, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi, Edo, Enugu, FCT, Imo, Kebbi, Kaduna, Kogi, Katsina, Nasarawa, Ogun, Plateau, Rivers, Sokoto, Taraba and Zamfara states. Corps members posted to states listed in the Stream One category will undergo the orientation course in their respective states of deployment. The statement explained that the Stream Two exercise, meant for the affected northern states, had been scheduled for Monday, September 1, 2014 to Monday, September 22, 2014. Corps members posted to Adamawa State will have their orientation programme in Niger; Bauchi corps members are expected to resume in Plateau State orientation camp while those posted to Borno State are to proceed to the Nasarawa State camp. Other affected states are Gombe, where corps members are expected to serve in Benue and Jigawa State corps members are expected to have their orientation programme in Kaduna. Corps members posted to Yobe State are expected
to resume at the Federal Capital Territory Orientation camp. The NYSC said corps members posted to Kano State would be notified of the state of their orientation in due course while those posted to Osun State will serve in Osun for the second stream of the exercise.
