Queen of Katwe was different on its own, it was a ragged dirty" and impoverished community, and the producer of the movie portrayed it as such.

The characters are now getting connected.

I never thought Laura could be good like this, i think E6 is still her best scene for now. Loved her humor/sadistic scenes with the Leprechaun, and Salim's face is just funny.

Ian Mcshane is a classic and a talkative, and i think he fits thd role of Wednesday perfectly, i call him 'the white Morgan Freeman'.

So Mr Wednesday has drew the first blood, he killed Mr Vulcano (god of gun).

Mr Wood is rendered homeless and wanders about because of industrialization.

As a first time subsistence farmer myself, am facing too many challenges myself.

I think its birds sucking out and eating my. maize plant from the roots. They 'chowed' 5 already, had to replant.

I think with my heaps, the corn i planted was too close to the top.

So many lessons am learning, that i hope to make use of as i continue my Horticulture.

Okay, the places I visited were;
1. Agric (along badagry expr road), just after barracks
2. Along LASU road (where most farmer's around there get their products from.
3. Was directed to Alaba Rago
4. From there, I was asked to go to Apapa, Dizengoff to be precised, along Creek road.
5. Later on check the Agricultural institute in Badagry, Ikoga (Pota, hope I got that right)
6. Then came back to some agro-allied stores at Agbara bus-stop.

Goodnews though, I was able to place an other for the product online (alibaba) through the help of a friend. Will be updating with pictures when it arrives, can't wait.
Also, placed an other for strawberry seeds, (I just hope I ain't over exploiting my garden dreams)

Sorry about the loss, but point of correction, from the picture uploaded, that ain't a disease but indicates damage done by insect pest (beetles). There are a lot of organic insecticides out there which you can use to resolve this issue.
Also, you could check out your plant at night. You would be amazed at your findings. Since it's a small size garden, try handpicking the beetles.

I actually saw some beetles on the leaves this morning.

I also saw a spider like creature, i think its the one that suck out the root of the maize.

I also have this maize garden in front of the house.

The ropes are thatched together to keep off goats.

The maize is a week old.


6 were affected by the disease on the leaves below, so i uprooted the 6 and planted another 6 on the heap i uprooted the affected once from.

Firstly, that's a beautiful setup u have there.

That's definitely an animal pest (rats, chicken etc), and i'm putting my money on a rat There's really no specifics to eradicating animal pests other than setting traps. You will need to set traps around ur garden size maize field. This should reduce activities on your garden.




A quick tip to how to plant Corn to achieve maximum harvest.

You should always plant extra seed to allow for losses due to insect pests, ground squirrels, erratic rainfall at planting etc. You can plant either 2 seeds per hole or 1 and 2 seeds alternately per hole, and then single to 1 plant per hole when the maize is 6-9 inches tall. One grown Corn plant per hole is best. I always trim down mine to this.

Once again, you have a beautiful setup there. Keep me updated on its progress.

Most likely done by pouch rats (okete). Set traps around the farm and check inside blocks that have been left around for long.

Hi @jidestroud please i don't know what did this damage to my maize plant. It suck out the maize from its root, i guessing its grasscutter but how can i prevent it?

My maize is 2 weeks old.

This report is true, one of our customers couldn't pay into our account, he said the only bank in oko got burnt.

He had to come to Ibadan to pay and also buy some other goods.
