All, Be careful what you wish for. Those that lived through the civil war, would not under any circumstance agitate for a repeat. This new generation are agitating because they have no idea as to the reality of things. |
Note ==== 1 : Accept #700k as partial payment (For starters, you need to keep body and soul together) 2 : Do not under any circumstance sign anything that states this amount(#700k) is the full and final payment 3 : Sue the MF, not only for the 5%, include Costs, Interest charged at the Current CB rate 4 : Be ready to wait it out and see this to the end, the MF is counting on you to give up and settle. STAND YOUR GROUND 5 : Talk to a lawyer before you do this and if you get the go ahead, publicize this using any medium, including names etc., let the world know this MF cannot be trusted. 6 : Longshot it might seem, but hopefully you might be able to get judgement against him or the property itself. (We might have to chat offline for pointers about going after the property) |

Gunpoint, I actually was not going to add to this thread, but it seems that a large percentage of the advise you are getting, rather than encourage you, are geared towards discouraging you. You need to understand that the world is your oyster, your future is what you make of it, be it in the petroleum industry or otherwise. I won't tell what to do, but you need to understand that the school does not make you a great engineer, you do. The ranking of the school is not relevant in the large scheme of things, if you are good at what you do, you'll always rise to the top. I have friends who are unemployed and unemployable that went to Harvard and Imperial. One of our employees went to Notre-Dame and her direct manager never finished high school but worked his way up through the ranks. So note, you are what you make yourself, also note that nothing beats doing what makes you happy. My two cents, PS : I'm a graduate of SOUTHBANK, and I've never regretted it for one second |
Despots, should now quake in their boots, POWER to the people |
Lawyer, Please contact me @ femi.private at gmail dot com |
, I am not referring to Africans, who bailed and now live in foreign climes. The heart of the continent is beating, Injustice, misrule and corruption are now being refused by the people of Africa. First Tunisia, now Egypt, The corrupt leaders of African countries must be quaking in their boots. The success of the common man in the aforementioned countries, basically means that everyman, no matter how small, can make a difference. Where next? Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Sudan, The world watches with interest. |
AYODEJI, It's better to be thought of, as a DUNCE, than for you to prove them right by your actions. Bigdoo has asked a valid question. If you have nothing to contribute, leave his post alone, rather than contribute nothing, then try to hijack it for your own benefit. Onyi ara |

Nairaland peeps need to understand that contributors to the site might not actually live in Naija, and it would be unfair to schedule an event with little or no notice period, three to six months might be ideal for those Nairalanders who might like to jet in, |
