Paint Plus||Business lines||Sept. 2015 Unemployment remains stubbornly high at a discouraging 20% across G20 Nations and exponentially higher across the developing countries. Can we solve unemployment? Yes, I believe, and the salient point is to have a paradigm shift from being a Nation that “imports and consumes” to one that “produces and exports”. As long as we keep importing goods and commodities, especially the very basic one we can produce, the more we keep the foreign factories busy. The busier these factories are, the more vacancies become available. These vacancies then needs to be filled, unfortunately the lowest-wage-most-menial of them are filled by non-citizens.
