EvilSec: Modern programming languages?? The biggest flaw in computer science is that it's decades out of date. The modern curricula was designed around 1980 and hasn't changed much since. It's more like a class in medieval literature than a class in modern literature. For example, students are still indoctrinated into the RISC religion even though it's been obsolete since 1995 having been replaced by OoO (out-of-order) microprocessors.
My specialty, networking, is even more horrifically out of date. They can't even teach a basic concept like byte-order correctly (big-endian vs. little-endian). Don't get me started on parsers.
My other speciality, security, largely doesn't exist. University textbooks teaching how to build websites with PHP and SQL still instruct students to program in a way that will result in SQL injection. It is always nice to speak on the fields Networking and Security just as you pointed out Other than saying what you are not Too sure about PROGRAMMINGMy piece ... Take it or leave it.. |

dometome: When I said speed, I meant speed of development. If an app can be made production ready with PHP, why use C++, that will take for ever, except the app will run only on low power devices, i.e. watches, (not smart watches) thermostats, or all these little devices that offer very little computing power, or a big AAA title games, you should read and Try to comprehend. All these jargons you are throwing doesn't make you a programmer. BTW, why would you make a program in Assembly in this age? Lol! Not even IBM does that. FYI, IBM uses PHP to maintain the files in their severs, I am beginning to wonder if you know what you are talking about? Bro you two are are correct .... But you know in programming there will always be trade offs |

Ausrichie: No, the truth is that people (I mean real hardcore programmers will even go for C, C++ or Assembly) because of speed, processors are not getting any cheaper but they are getting faster, RAM is not getting any cheaper but the speed of most RAMs are increasing and their space getting larger too but at a much slower rate. It is not necessarily about power it is about speed, Operating Systems need more speed hardware drivers need more speed too and these three languages I mentioned are needed in that case, python Java and the rest of these so called high level languages are too slow because the interpreter runs the code not the computer which means you are running a process inside a process (process is an OS stuff) the only good thing about python and Java is their flexibility (Compile once run everywhere is not possible, if you are into OS theory you will understand why) and they are also owned by a particular party. C does not have an owner neither does C++ (Assembly is like machine code therefore it can be considered as proprietary) these languages rely on organisations like ANSI and ISO to set standards for the language (and also partly on the author of the language) the rest of the job is left in the palms of the individual programmer (this is good because it makes you a stronger and better programmer). A mid level language(c and c++ are mid level Assembly is low level) is stronger than a high level language because they can handle almost everything on the computer. You stand to be corrected in some aspects but I think you're one of the best programming guys I've seen on NL |

And the lessons in that movie is limitless ... Whenever am watching it I don't count it as a leisure Time I actually see it as a lesson period because the movie exposed everything you need to know about programming
In the Business and also the Coding aspect
Try it Out ...
Even Bill gates recommended it...

crownedrookie: OP pajosh u made me give the frustrated vulture what he wants with your refusal to continue without a resolution. You were obviously assuming this thing was a rational human, right? Wrong. This thing is a frustrated he goat who feels because he failed at programming others with a functioning brain shouldn't be given the chance. This thing doesn't have a life so it obsesses it self with clinging like a leech to the lives of people in a faceless forum. The only thing u can do to this stinking, bottom feeding carrion eater is ignore it and carry on with your noble goals. It came here on a sabotage mission. Don't let it succeed I don't like it when programmers quarrel |

He obviously is trying to sabotage a real programmers attempt to impact knowledge so I will not give this dejected miserable excuse of a homoerectus that satisfaction. Ausrichie: What's the difference between a heap and a stack. We'd talk about them later ... Cos the two data structures are completely different ...stack is a linear data structure ..... same as queue but the difference between the two is how their data is been accessed... Whereas a heap is a tree based data structure .. Mostly used to implement priority queues We have the mean heap and max heaps though Explaining it might be quite long that's why I might treat a data structure per day starting from today |

Truth today is that many people hurriedly jump into programming and hurriedly jump out also
While some are still struggling with their choice of programming specializations ... At least a good good number of programmers know about the theorem of "THE SYNTAX IS THE DIFFERENT BUT THE LOGIC IS THE SAME"
But let's face it .. As a programmer if you don't know and understand these mentioned below ... You should go back to your drawing board ...
Actually today is an overview but in latter updates I'll break each section down ... And even go deeper in every of the sections:
Data Structures
Algorithms
Principles Of Object Oriented Programming
Big O Notations
If you don't understand don't worry I'll break them down later ... But that's all for today
But This Is Top level Secret ...
