EducationDon't Ever Promise More Than What You Can Deliver... by PAPAJOSH1(op): 5:14pm On Mar 12, 2018
"Don't ever promise more than what you can deliver, but always deliver more than you promise" - Lou Holtz

Promise is a verbal commitment by one person to another agreeing to do (or not to do) something in the future. It is also related to 'assure' that is, assurance likewise pledge.

From what we have discovered, people do make promises e.g Father to his child, husband to wife, spouse, friends, relatives, even to an unknown person. But most promises made, were out of flesh, some without thinking(giving second thought) while some are not sincere with there words.

At times some people do promise beyond their capacity; they know their weight and height(that is, what they can do). Despise, they will promise beyond what they can not do even in the next ten years. Can we say they are too happy I.e, over-joyous or over confidence or proudness.
For instance, you can imagine a ten years old boy promised to buy a new car; latest model for his friend in the next two weeks (not even talking about toy car and even boasting of buying latest model in town). What is your deduction over that? I guess we have the same conclusion.

Truthfully, the boy made promise but logically, that promise/pledge is beyond his capacity and level. That's why LOU HOLTZ says: "don't ever promise more than you can deliver..." Let's all endeavour to make promise(s) we are able and capable of fulfilling or we are sure to be able to fulfill, so as not to be in debt of promise; 'for promise is a debt.'

LOU HOLTZ didn't stop on not to make promise or promises beyond our capacity, he also attached condition to it; "...but always deliver more than you promise"
What a great advice!

You should always try to deliver more than what you have promised, doing so add more or increases the trust people have in you, your dignity and respect will move forward, you will be worthy, valued, cherished, honoured, exhorted and highly praised; as it shows you are someone of his/her own word(s). People will value and cherish you more and more which will also increases the level of your popularity and the chance of getting helps from others in time of difficulties, challenges and tribulation. For a quote says "whatever you sow, you shall reap" I have changed it into my own taste. Thus, ...you will reap more than what you have sowed and not only you but your people; relatives, family and friends are also inclusive.

Finally, don't ever do things just because you want to take control, overpower or take charge of someone or others; that's for unnecessary glory, but do it with clear heart and mind. FOR THE REWARD IS THERE WAITING FOR YOU IN FUTURE; MIND YOU, THE REWARD IS SURELY AWAITING FOR YOU AND YOUR RELATIVES.

KEYS TO NOTE:
1.) _Do not promise at all if you know you can not or will not fulfill it; for promise is a debt.

2.) _When promising, do not promise more than what you can deliver.

3.) _Always deliver more than you promise or more than what you have promised.

"It's all in a state of mind"

If you think you are beaten, you are.
If you think you dare not, you don't.
If you like to win, but you think you can't,
It is almost a 'cinch' you won't.

If you think you'll lose, you've lost,
For out in the world you find
Success begins with a fellow's will;
It's all in the state of mind.

Full many a race is lost
Ere ever a step is run,
And many a coward fails
Ere ever his work begun.

Think big and your deeds will grow,
Think small and...

WHERE ARE YOU; MY LOVE?

©Olaobaju Babatunde Joseph
LIFE ISSUES.

I searched through the west,
Like a bird searching for food, jumping into the nest.
I run from one place to another; wearied, tired and unrest.
Believe me, I concluded that this is not the best.

I decided to check the east,
From my mind; taught everything will be ease.
But it got to a point I became dizzy,
Then I requested for the help of my friend called; Lizzy,
She said searching for someone is not easy.

She dressed, and we continue to the north,
We searched for you to extend of going into the hut.
Guess what? We were given bolt and not.
My friend was grieved and discouraged but me; I tire not.

We changed our destination to the south,
We were dehydrated, and we can shout.
Rather than kicking the ball into the net; it is out,
Everything became miserable for us like a beaten scout.

I know you are somewhere in the world reading this,
Just know that you're a core course for me that I must not miss.
I'm on my knee begging you to please!
Come to me with your care, love and peace.

Nairaland GeneralNothing But Joy... by PAPAJOSH1(op): 12:45am On Dec 22, 2017

NOTHING BUT JOY...

Nothing but joy,

The beginning may be hard,
A times you may be poor that you can't even afford a card,
Just know that; if you have faith 3 feets long that is, a yard,
God is there for you like a guard.

Nothing but joy

Things may not be easy,
You may be tired and feel dizzy.
The smooth surface of your life may turn Creasy;
Which is full of creases.
Just know that God will lubricate your life with all his greases,

Nothing but joy

Your future may not be in your sight,
You may not even know your height.
Don't be panic, after darkness there will be light,
Everything will become visible and bright.

Nothing but joy

You might have suffered before,
Instead of you to rise, you may fall.
Just know that everything will soon stop,
Just like a candle at the candlestick top.

At the end you will enjoy,
You might even overjoy,
God will protect you and there will be no way for killjoy,
Then you will understand that everything is "nothing but joy."

LOVE >> http://www.lifeissues.life/2017/08/love.html

LOVE

Love is a strong feeling or deep affection for something or somebody especially a member of your family or friend.

Also, love is a person, a thing or an activity that you like very much.

Wikipedia define love as a variety of different emotional and mental states, typically strongly and positively experienced, that ranges from deepest interpersonal affection to simple pleasure. An example of this range of meanings is that the love of a mother differs from the love of a spouse differs from the love of food. Most commonly, love refers to an emotion of a strong attraction and personal attachment.

Love can be seen in various form:

1.) It can be describe through word.

2.) Love can be virtue representing human kindness, compassionate, unselfishness.

3.) Familial love.

4.) Friendly love.

5.) Romantic love.

6.) Natural Love.

TYPES OF LOVE

1.) Agape love: Perhaps the best way to understand agape love is to think of it as the type of love that comes from God. Therefore, agape is a divine and natural love which makes it perfect, pure, not selfish and self-sacrificing.

2.) FAMILY LOVE(called Storge Love in Greek):

It's the kind of easy bond that naturally forms between parents and their children -- and sometimes between siblings in the same household.

EducationWhy by PAPAJOSH1(op): 12:57am On Nov 06, 2017
WHY? >> http://www.lifeissues.life/2017/08/the-question-is-why.html

I keep wondering on some issues long time ago; I tried to ask questions about those issues but no one have given me any answer.

"THE QUESTION IS WHY?"

Why? Please who can answer that question, maybe I should expatiate the question "WHY?"

Nowadays, the level or the rate at which people are killing themselves for whatever reason, has increased. Some fathers are killing their children because of money or ritual, fame, power position and due to their carelessness or silly mistakes. WHY?

Children are killing their father, husband to wife, likewise wife to husband, neighbors and so on. So, WHY are they doing that?

WHY? >> http://www.lifeissues.life/2017/08/the-question-is-why.html

Some don't even kill but their character and behaviour has gone beyond killing people.

Rather than rendering help to people, they prefer to do evil to that person; they are not ready for others, their wickedness is more than that of serpent and scorpion. They can't share their belongings with their relatives talk less of outsider. WHY?

Some are terrorising themselves. Different countries are standing against one another, nation to nation, one region to other, tribes to tribes. Instead of helping themselves in times of need, they will rather be enemy to each other or one another; not only that, their generations also continue in that path because they to are watching the footsteps of their forefathers. WHY?
