Sports wears manufacturing giant Puma on Wednesday officially terminated sponsorship contract with the Athletics Federation of Nigeria.

The contract cancellation follows the embarrassing scandal that has pitched the AFN officials against Nigeria’s ministry of youth and sports due to the $2.7 millon kits sponsorship.

The Edwin Okon-tutor girls will face Hasaacas in the final, which is billed for August 5.

The chances of Nigeria winning medals at the Tokyo Olympics has been dealt a big blow with the declaration of 10 of the country’s athletes as ineligible to compete.
