Legal Section Terms and Conditions Version 20. Last modified 2012-01-18. It is the responsibility of each customer to read and understand this legal notice and the terms and conditions pursuant to which an acquisition of financial bets via this site is governed. The term "the Company" shall denote either of Regent Markets (IOM) Ltd., Regent Markets (Malta) Ltd. or Regent Markets (CR) S.A., depending on the jurisdiction to which a client's account has been attached in accordance with the account opening procedures of the website and as detailed in the About Us section of the website. Laws regarding financial betting contracts vary throughout the world, and it is the responsibility of persons accessing this site to ensure that they understand and fully comply with any laws or regulations relevant to themselves in their own country. This site does not constitute, and may not be used for the purposes of, an offer or solicitation to anyone in any jurisdiction in which such offer or solicitation is not authorised or to any person to whom it is unlawful to make such offer or solicitation. Access to this site and the offering of financial betting contracts via this site in certain jurisdictions may be restricted and, accordingly, persons accessing this site are required to inform themselves about and to observe such restrictions. The financial betting services contained within this site are only suitable for customers who are able to bear the loss of all the money they invest and who understand and have experience of the risks involved in the acquisition of financial betting contracts. International currency, stock index or commodity prices are highly volatile and very difficult to predict. Due to such volatility, plus the bias in the pricing system favouring the website (as described in more detail below), no financial betting contract purchased in our system (whether or not the payout exceeds the premium amount) can be considered a safe bet. The maximum losses that may be incurred by any customer is the amount of money paid by him to the Company. The Company reserves the right in its sole discretion to refuse and/or cancel services to anyone for any reasons including, but not limited to: any instance where the Company believes that person's activities at this site may be illegal in that person's country or state; any instance where the Company may be approached or contacted by legal authorities or regulators from that person's country or state; any instance where the Company may suffer any pecuniary, fiscal or regulatory disadvantage by virtue of that person's activities at this site; any instance where transactions on this website are performed in breach of the present terms and conditions. any restriction to its clients from purchasing any bets during certain hours. The calculation of the price to be paid (or the payout to be received) for financial betting contracts on this site at the time the financial betting contract is purchased or sold will be based on the Company's best estimate of market price movements and the expected level of interest rates, implied volatilities and other market conditions during the life of the financial betting contract, and is based on complex mathematics. The calculation will include a bias in favour of the Company. The financial betting contract prices (or the payout amounts) offered to customers speculating on market or index prices may differ substantially from prices available in the primary markets where stock indices or commodities or contracts thereupon are traded, due to the bias favouring the Company in the price calculation system referred to above. The charting data made available to clients by the Company is indicative only and may at times differ from the real market values. The Company's decision as to the calculation of a financial betting contract price will be final and binding. The Company allows the option to sell bets before expiry time of some bets but will not be obliged to do so and can suspend this option depending on the current market conditions. The Company does not provide a market amongst or between customers for investments, securities, derivatives or speculations. Each financial betting contract purchased by a customer via this site is an individual agreement between that customer and the Company and is not a security, nor is it transferable, negotiable or assignable to or with any third party. Acquisition of financial betting contracts through this site must be effected in accordance with the terms and conditions presented on the pages of this site. Acquisition of a financial betting contract is completed when the financial betting contract has been customised, the premium (or the payout, as the case may be) has been calculated and payment has been verified. Each customer agrees to be fully and personally liable for the due settlement of every transaction entered into under his account with the Company. This includes any transactions entered into by members of the Customer's family or entourage who have gained access to the account. The Customer is responsible for ensuring that he alone controls access to the account, and that no minors are granted access to trading on the website. In any case, the Customer remains fully liable for any and all positions traded on his account, and for any credit card transactions entered into the site for his account. Each Customer also indemnifies the Company in respect to all costs and losses of any kind, whatsoever as may be incurred by the Company as a result, direct or indirect, of the Customer's failure to perform or settle such a transaction. Online Gambling debts are enforceable in law in the Isle of Man. Monies collected from customers are not invested in any securities, futures, currencies, derivatives or other investments, on behalf of customers. No person shall abuse this site for the purpose of money laundering. The Company employs best-practice anti-money laundering procedures, which may have several effects on customers. The Company reserves the right to refuse to do business with, to discontinue to do business with, and to reverse the transactions of, customers who do not accept or adhere to these anti-money laundering processes. The anti-money laundering processes have the following effects on customers: Customers must fill into the account opening form all requested details that establish his/her identity. Winnings may only be paid to the initiator of an account. When a customer maintains an account by means of telegraphic deposits, winnings are only paid to the holder of the originating bank account, and it is the onus of the customer to ensure that account number and name accompany all transfers to the Company. When a customer maintains an account by means of credit/debit card deposits, winnings are only paid back to the same card. Only one account is allowed per person. No winnings may be collected on accounts opened in false names or on multiple accounts opened by the same person. The Company may, from time to time, at its sole discretion, require a customer to provide proof of identity (such as notarized copy of passport or other means of identity verification as the Company deems required under the circumstances) and may at its sole discretion suspend an account until such proof has been provided to its satisfaction. You agree that we may use Personal information provided by you in order to conduct appropriate anti fraud checks. Personal Information that you provide may be disclosed to a credit reference or fraud prevention agency, which may keep a record of that information. The Company reserves the right to suspend the operation of this site or sections thereof when, as a result of political, economic, military or monetary events (including unusual market volatility or illiquidity) or any circumstances outside the control, responsibility and power of the Company, the continued operation of this site is not reasonably practicable without materially and adversely affecting and prejudicing the interests of customers or the Company, or if, in the opinion of the Company, a price cannot be calculated for financial betting contracts; or when there is a breakdown in the means of communication normally employed in determining the price or value of any of the financial betting contracts or where the price or value of any of the financial betting contracts cannot be promptly or accurately ascertained. In such an event, the Company may at its sole discretion (with or without notice) close out customers' open financial betting contracts at prices it considers fair and reasonable at such a time and no claims may be entertained against the Company in connection thereto. The Company may impose volume betting limits on Customer accounts in its sole discretion. Current betting volume limits upon account opening are USD/GBP/EUR/AUD 30,000/day maximum betting volume. The maximum account size (i.e. cash balance) is USD/GBP/EUR/AUD 25,000 and the maximum outstanding bet payout at a given time per account is USD/GBP/EUR/AUD 25,000. These limits are increased once a client fully authenticates himself; where the new maximum betting volume will be USD/GBP/EUR/AUD 250000, having a maximum account size of USD/GBP/EUR/AUD 250000 and a maximum outstanding bet payout at a given time per account of USD/GBP/EUR/AUD 250000. If the account balance exceeds the maximum account size, then withdrawals must be made to bring the balance down to under this limit. The right is reserved to amend or change the rules and scope of this service from time to time. Any change to the rules made whilst the site is in operation will not apply retrospectively and will only apply to acquisitions of financial betting contracts made after such change. Contract payouts shall be determined by the Company by reference to the daily high/low/close values reported on this website relevant to the underlying index(ices) of the contract(s) or from the interbank trading data received by the Company for forex quotes or commodities prices as displayed on the website, subject that the Company shall have the right to make corrections to such data in the event of mis-priced or typographically incorrect data. Customers should note that the different markets may close at different times during the day due to local trading hours and time zones. In the case of single stock and stock index prices, the final closing price as reported by the relevant Exchange shall apply for all settlements (this final settlement price may, at times, be reported by the Exchange 30-90 minutes after the official closing time of the market). For forex quotes the closing times are defined by the Company as shown in the Market Opening Times section of the website. In the event of any dispute regarding market or settlement values, the decision of the Company shall be final and binding. Customers should note that certain markets (such as stocks and stock indices) are not open throughout the day and that trading may not be available when the markets are closed. In the case that any financial betting contracts are acquired or sold at prices that do not reflect fair market prices or that are acquired or sold at an abnormally low level of risk due to an undetected programming error, bug or glitch in our website software, the Company reserves the right to cancel or reverse such transactions upon notification to the customer of the nature of the computer error that led to the mis-pricing. Yeah.Let me start by saying that this thread has moved significantly in the upward direction but still short of what I desire. What do I desire,I desire a thread where we moved from this up and down stuff to critical analysis of the market.I think ayo is doing a great job but beyond the headlines you must try to understand the soul of the market. My Credentials Let me start by telling you that when it comes to the financial markets,I have seen it all. Believe me,I started trading from the Nigerian stock exchange when our market capitalization was just 600 million Naira. I started in 2002,I was trained online on the forex.com platform, I also got training from the markets.I was part of the bulls that started in 2003 and ended in 2007.I mean I made real cash,I was also humbled by the markets when the bull ravaged. I also followed Boason Omofaye program on MBI and later on channels,I also followed on e Mr Jeff and Arowolo of the Financial standard newspaper.I also went for training with Abayomi Obabolujo and followed him well.I have made really cash on the floor of the Nigerian stock exchange and I have also been humbled.I traded derivatives on two platform in the uk and I have had modest success.I have also traded complex asian derivatives.I was there when Japaul came to the market at 1.00 Naira doing their Ipo.I participated in the Ipo of various banks and I made real cash like I said I have also seen the downside of the market. You cant real say you understand the market if you have not been humbled by the markets. The reason I have been silent is that I am back in school and I am into some television production which has taken my time in the market. I did the premium thing not to make money but to challenge the staquo and beyond that.I still have excess cash so people who paid last month don’t need to a dime for this month, beyond that also I want to us to move a better platform with moderate spread with better execution and better things to offer.I also want us to react to earnings in the markets like the Us earning seasons starts next month.I want us to move beyond up and down and even move to complex asian derivatives, beyond that I use another platform which is regulated by the FSA but will not allow Nigerian do to yahoo boys. but I used another my uk contact open the platform so this is what is been happening.I have tried a company like Bforex which is a scam becos I test each of them with little real cash check their proxy serve and reliaze the lady is Bulgaria but claims to the uk,so pls don’t deal with them I have been trying different platform because the BOM platform does not offer transparent pricing. For example I don’t know where they get their pricing from.So that is why I have to stop the alert for a while but will be back next week without paying another money for the whole of July.I also intend to give them value for money see how I can bring level2 and even level 3 and see what is behind price action. |
boomodara@gmail.com nairakobo: Hey pappy2k, can i get your contacts pls? Good afternoon to all d housemates. |
Stop order is a sell side order.....that is done to manage risk |
Today,I want to talk about the Market Mechanism,How does the market works.I am going to use the Nigerian stock exchange and developed markets in my examples. In the Nigerian Stock exchange (Nse),we markets works this way.Say for example you are willing to buy the shares of Okomu Oil….which is located in the Agric subsector of the market, say for purpose of example, the share price is N4.00,Now in market we have two types of orders,we have market order and Limit order……In Market order you as an investor tells your broker to buy the shares of the company you are interested at t any price in the market. That is just any price, you are willing to buy.we also have the Limit order in which you tell your broker that this is maximum price you are willing to buy a particular equity and the Minimum you are willing to sell the equity. So for example if you have First Bank share price at 10 Naira, you can decide to tell your broker that the maximum you are willing to buy the share is say 12 Naira. So if the broker gets the shares at any price below 12 Naira, that is ok by u,then that is what is called Limit order,i.e you give a limit of the amount you are willing to buy a unit price of the equity. Now back to the Market mechanism, In the Nigerian Stock Exchange,we have a system in which you have to get a willing buyer or seller,so if for example you want to sell the shares of First Bank you have, you give orders to your broker which do what is called “Jobbing” place it and you give limit or market order then before you can sell you have to get someone who is willing to buy your shares in the market at the price of the market or the particular price you give your broker to sell.and vice versa.Likewise for clarity you must also getting a willing seller if you want to buy equities on the floor of the Nigerian stock exchange. Now having said that,we also have what is called the market maker in developed market like the New York stock exchange,The Nasdaq,The London Stock Exchange, and even on the Johannesburg stock exchange in south Africa. The reason their market is more efficient than our market is that the market maker must buy from u and must also sell if you require it.The mechanism for doing that is in what is called the ECN…meaning Electronic Communication Network. But I wont go in gory details about the mechanism but the long and short of it is that we have market makers in thedeveloped market, that must buy at a particular price, what you see as the closing price is the price displayed by several market makers…..that is where you get the bids and offer we always see.like I can go on and on to explain but I will do that in the later days . Emerging Opportunities My intention for my subscribers and members of this forum is that we should take advantage of Market opportunities around the world including in our own backyard. Now, I strongly believe that we will see a strong rally in the Nigerian stock exchange in the next quarter…….The reason is simple after the capital market probe, The regulators have given PFA the mandate to reallocate their asset, meaning that they have been forced to put a certain percentage into equities, instead of doing the normal bond market and getting 17% from government bond. Friends, we have emerging opportunities in the Nigerian Stock exchange which can give 100% return in 3 months,As a Global Market analyst ,I know where this opportunities lies and which equities will lead the rally. Emerging Opportunities In US and Europe Friends,From next month we will also have emerging opportunities in the us and European market,we will be looking at trading equities rather than this rise and fall thing. When Alcoa unofficially opens the earnings calendar for Us equities so stay tune.I want us to trade this markets and the sectors. Babatunde Global Market Analyst |
we are expecting the University of Michigan report in 15 mins. |
prince123: The GU is now rising,,The UJ is falling,,what might have triggered thisQE3 |
and besides any time i look at this thread i am happy people are doing constructive analysis even.though some are not getting it right but at least there is an intellectual discourse. We need to move beyond winning to analysis |
bendazum: Fought? Wrong conception.I was verbally attacked. What still baffles me now is how he still later towed my line.Human beings!this is not what i do for living,I am not advertsing to anyone to come purchase one magical alert, besides I gave my number freely for everyone subscribers n non subscribers. |
