Literature / A Poem From A Bleeding Heart by paraklesis(m): 9:46pm On Jun 28, 2018
FROM HERE TO WHERE?

Plateau became our altar of sacrifice
Human spirit offered to the unknown god
We became strangers in an abode
Where we once dwelled in peace
The cry of rest in peace
We now sing like the nightingale's melody
On the lips of the gravid women
And tongues of our zealous men
Our priceless life is now a ransom
For the love of our cattles
Where shall we go from here?

The fertile lands that once flow with milk and honey
Now irrigated by the blood of our kinsmen
The capital of poverty resides in our huts
Our unborn children have no hope
But prayers to keep them safe in utero
The worth of living is now in the dip
Falling skies won't affect just a person
Now a nation has been engulfed
In a tussle of power
And death tolls is now a statistic
To compare on paper
Where shall we go from here?

Tired of this hope meal, we shall not
This land shall not bleed to death
Yet another hope to feed on
And this might be the last
As the next breath is not guaranteed
Living in the fear of life
No assurance of the future
Because there's none to feature
Peace, we long for
Life, we want to live
But where shall we go from here?

We all know the truth. We just don't want to accept. That's what El Rufai is doing. Let him continue. Truth shall catch up with him.

Parents should take time to understand their children and not try to imput in them, their own unachieved dreams. Most people in different professions are trying to adjust to fulfilling the dreams their parents forced them to carry.
They should take time to know the interest of their children and try as much as possible in guidance and not enforcing.

Parents, you're not a dream enforcement agency.

Politics / Re: After Marathon Meeting, Northern Elders Fail To Endorse Buhari For 2019 by paraklesis(m): 10:47am On Mar 25, 2018
The need for visionary leadership cannot be overemphasized. We need more than a replacement from the north. Rather, we need those that can take us out of this penury not just an average half baked vegetative individuals that doesn't know how things are done.
Politics / Re: Abia State Pioneers Cement Based Roads. Daily Times. by paraklesis(m): 5:33pm On Sep 20, 2015
This is a nice approach to the issue of roads in Nigeria...just hoping that the road is more durable and will last longer than the common asphalt roads we have in this country. A creative approach mr governor.
