Let Jack be A, Anne A/B and George B
where A is married, B is Single and A/B is married or single

Then Jack looking at Anne and Annie looking at George is
A --->A/B --->B
It then could be AA, AB, AB, or BB
AA = married person looking at a married person
AB = Married person looking at an unmarried person
BB = single person looking at a single person

Annie being married or single has a probability of 50% and the probability of a married person looking at a unmarried person is also 50% giving us a probability ratio of 50/50 = 1

The answer is A) Yes

cos if Anne is married and jack is looking at her, she is looking at George who is single
if Annie is single, then jack who is married is looking at her

Therefore, a married person is looking at an umarried person
