Literature / Re: Writing Club by patonwe(m): 10:43am On Jul 21, 2010
Ladysmart,

when you say team writing, are you talking about publishing a book, magazine, journal etc as a team. I think writing club should be more about coming together as writers to enhance individual writing skill, as well as promote the individual works of each member. I think you need better elaboration on how you guys intend to operate.

Hi visualtutorng,

I am happy about your comment. That shows many of us are beggining to think in the same direction. If you have read more through audio books, I think we should start encouraging reading culture by taking audio book campaign to schools. Thanks also for beeing interested in marketing any of my own audio books. They may be ready for distributions as time goes on. Please send me your phone contact at dozieonwe@yahoo.co.uk, so that I will reach you when neccessary.

Yea Globaljobs,

I can convert your book to audio. By the time I know the size of your work, and some other details I can tell you the requirements. You can mail me at dozieonwe@yahoo.co.uk. Moreover, it will be fine if you figure out from your readers if they will like the audio version of your work. You can share their comments with us here, such that other writers may know.

As a writer I have discovered that several Nigerians do not like reading. As a concerned writer like myself, dont you think that our books should have an audio version, such that people can just listen rather than read. They can listen with their phones. their CD or DVD player. They can study while taking their bath, driving a car, in a bus, waiting in a line, jogging etc. Fun, isn't it? Don't you think this will make more Nigerians " read" more? What is your opinion?
Literature / Re: Publish Your Book Free On Amazon.com by patonwe(m): 5:09pm On Jul 12, 2010
There could be other free publising sites. But Amazon is wonderful because they are perhaps the most popular internet sales giant. They operate the print on demand method, whenever there is a request for any of their published books; that is they do not keep inventory. That way they can distribute to millions of buyers with very little overhead cost.

Few writers know that they can publish their paper based books free of charge to millions of people locally and internationally. Amazon.com is a gigantic internet sales site that also run another site for free book publishing known as createspace.com. It does not cost you a dime and you can get your royalty from numerous purchases. You can check that site and become an international best seller.
