Ikaeniyan0: All this things you're complaining about, people have been complaining about it even before the arrival of Tinubu, I hope he will turn things around sha. Yea but it can't be compared to what we have now, I do go to market myself and know how difficult it is now running a family. |

All these politicians can lie...See as obi dey tell lies Tinubu made a mistake removing subsidy outlightly, it should have been done in batches, floated the Naira and earnings have not increased |
Politics › Re: Reps Indict Hajj Commission Over ₦90 Billion Subsidy by patrickcollins: 8:17am On Apr 02, 2025 |
emkz: I endorse the fraud that took place in the Hajj commission.
I endorse the fraud because it is a misnomer to provide religious subsidy in the first place. It is subsidy to be stolen.
To stop the fraud, stop paying the religious subsidy!
We are grateful that historically, the government has subsidized education, healthcare and a few other things.
But some subsidies need to be permanently cancelled:
(1) Religious subsidy (2) Dollar subsidy (3) Fuel subsidy
If anyone wants to go on religious pilgrimage, he can sit at home if he doesn't have the money. He won't die. There is no national benefit for religious pilgrimage nor the subsidy.
It needs to be terminated. You can't terminate fuel subsidy and have a strong economy, for instance all the big countries US, China, Germany, Russia and the smaller countries have fuel subsidy. The subsidy in executive arms, Legislative and Judiciary is enough to finance fuel subsidy. Again why should a judge be paid 12 million monthly when minimum wage is 70k that's not normal, it can't happen in a sane clime |
Politics › Re: Nigeria Fortunate To Have Tinubu As President – Bosun Tijani by patrickcollins: 8:03am On Apr 02, 2025 |
Fortunate that we could barely feed three times a day or have a good life, price of everything has gone up 200 percent or more, house rent has gone up, price of cooking gas has gone up, people are losing their jobs because most companies are cutting cost and some are closing down, the CNG and it's buses is a mirage. So tell us how we are fortunate to have a terrible leader as president. |

Tntsi: Wicked reality truth 1- druggie/certificate forger 2- Once associated with bokoharam 3- sexual randy fellow.
Judiciary is almost useless. Nigeria has never had a judiciary like we have now. No one cares anymore. They break and rebreak the law as long to suit their psy masters. Legislature is more of a back pocket/rubber stamp for executive. No one gives a damn. Legislature is now an extension of executive |
Politics › Re: Nigeria Not A Democratic Country, People With Forged Certificates Incharge - Obi by patrickcollins: 7:38am On Apr 02, 2025 |
helinues: You never believed in democracy to start with.
While the likes of president Tinubu, even little Sowore was fighting for the restoration of democracy back to Nigeria, Peter Obi was being appointed by Abacha as one of the Lagos port board members meaning he never believed in the democracy he's enjoying today.
This same Peter Obi never conducted local government election for good 7 years out of his 8 years as Anambra state governor. Why should he when democracy is nonsense to him.
This same Peter Obi showered all the good talk about the Supreme court when he favoured him as Anambra governor, but today that same Supreme court is rubbish to him because he's not having his way.
Peter Obi is just busy contradicting his own beliefs . You want to say all rubbish things about Nigeria and still delusional thinking you would be the president of the same country.. Hahaha you must be a joke
As how learned Peter Obi claimed to be, he's still talking about Forged documents.. one term senator, two terms as a governor and now the president.. Shame on you Peter Obi for that nonsense talk How u take know he dey refer to Tinubu he said generally some people in elected position have Forged documents which is true. I have gone through the write-up I didn't see where Tinubu was mentioned |

Tell me one president who has embarked on road projects like Tinubu People could barely eat, suffering is much yet minimum wages couldn't carry one for a whole month yet taxes increased, rent increased, telecommunication increased, electricity increased and so on. This government is not for the struggling masses. |

greenermodels: Students from regular schools would still sit for and pass WAEC,NECO and JAMB/SAT2 therefore I don't see the advantages of attending these over priced schools. There are advantages, UK educational system is ranked second in the world and they were able to achieve such fit by taking education serious. |

saddler: Something about this post reeks of inferiority complex.
You are indirectly trying to say Nigeria educational standard is inferior. You are indirectly saying having a British teacher is better than having a Nigerian.
I won't be surprised if their tuition fees are in British pounds.
Our ancestors were forced to pick up the English language and the ways of the whiteman. But today, we are the ones even paying to do so. But Nigeria education system is actual in all sense inferior and equally their teachers, when teachers are not paid well best brains won't be attracted and Nigeria leaders are only interested in planning for campaigns and elections. Our curriculum is outdated and they are not doing anything about it |

obyno82: The man must have misrepresented himself. I believe he meant naturalisation or residency. But to be honest, when I see arguments like this in NL i feel sad for Nigeria, we claim we are one, but harbor serious resentments over one another. But the same us complain about whites being racist, when we are 1000 times worse with black on black hate because of tribalism. And this is the reasons we can't develop as a people, politicians know this and they are utilizing it to their advantage, we keep on talking about Japa when we could make our country better for everyone. If there is unity we all would have said to this administration, look do the fuel subsidy removal 50% and we stand by it because the implications affect all regions |
