In a decisive move to safeguard children's health and prevent vaccine-preventable diseases, the Vice Chairman of Emohua LGA, Hon. Patience W. Ebere, PhD, has officially flagged off a special vaccination campaign targeting children aged 0-59 months who are either unimmunized or under-immunized.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony held at the Emohua LGA healthcare facility, the Vice Chairman passionately urged parents and caregivers to seize this golden opportunity to protect their children from preventable diseases.

She emphasized that vaccines are safe, effective, and essential in reducing child mortality, ensuring a healthier future for the younger generation.

In a proactive move to address concerns over recent claims of a planned protest by the women of Ibaa community, the Vice Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Hon. Patience W. Ebere, PhD, held a crucial meeting with the women of the community.

The meeting served as a platform to clarify misinformation and reinforce the administration’s unwavering commitment to peace, progress, and sustainable development in Emohua LGA.

While addressing the gathering, the Vice Chairman expressed profound gratitude to His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, the Executive Governor of Rivers State, for his continued support for the local government.

Similarly, Chief Mrs Blessing O. Amadi commended the Executive Chairman for his developmental strides in Ibaa community.

~ Construction of the Ogbakiri Road, connecting Wards 1 and 2.

~ Construction of Ndele Road.

~ Fencing of Community Secondary School, Elibrada, spanning 85 plots, to enhance security and provide a conducive learning environment.

~ Construction of 12 classroom blocks in Community Secondary School, Elibrada.

~ Reconstruction of Community Secondary School, Rumuewor-Odegu, including fencing and renovation of 12 classroom blocks.

The Vice Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Hon. Patience W. Ebere, PhD, has commended the Executive Chairman, Chief Hon. David Omereji, for his exceptional act of benevolence towards the people of Emohua during the festive season.

She also expressed her profound gratitude to the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS, for his unwavering support and commitment to grassroots development, which has enabled the impactful leadership demonstrated in Emohua LGA.

ADVANCING HEALTHCARE IN EMOHUA LGA: MATERNAL, NEWBORN, AND CHILD HEALTH WEEK COMMENCES

The Vice Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Hon. Patience W. Ebere, in collaboration with the Rivers State Ministry of Health and Development, launches the Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) Week in Emohua LGA.

This impactful health initiative, which began on Monday, 9th and will run until Friday, 13th Dec. 2024, is a cornerstone of the administration's commitment to ensuring the well-being of mothers, newborns, children, and caregivers within the LGA.

The MNCH Week aims to address critical health needs through the delivery of essential services, including antenatal care, immunization, nutritional interventions, and education on child health and development.

This program is a proactive measure to improve health outcomes, reduce mortality rates, and enhance access to quality healthcare for vulnerable populations within the LGA.

The Vice Chairman of Emohua LGA played a leading role at the event by administering immunization to newborns, symbolizing the administration’s hands-on approach to promoting quality healthcare.
