*MY PLANS TO PROGRESSIVELY MOVE OUR UNION FOWARD* - *Brief Introduction* My name is Emmanuel Sunday Attah, politically know as Immanuel Kant. I am a part 3 student of Economics in the great citadel of learning, Federal University Lokoja. I am a part of this soil- a son of the land, I hail from the eastern part of Kogi State, igala by tribe. By divine privilege, and as part of the service to humanity that I've been called into, I am the founder and national coordinator of KANT CARES FOUNDATION. KCF is an NGO that has a chief purpose of looking out for the needs of the less privileged in the society, and since inception we have contributed our quota in that regards. - *Past contributions To The Student Community* By God grace, and by the inherent desire he has placed within me to serve humanity, I have always been driven by a passion to have a positive impact wherever I find myself. Right from my secondary school days, to my days in the polytechnic and now at the University. Very early into my time in FUL, in my 100l days, having heard about the gravity of prerequisite in my department, even without been an executive member I engaged along side the department executives to have series of discussion to with the school management in the relax of prerequisites. Although our aim wasn't achieved then but years down the line these struggles pulled through. During the covid 19 break, being triggered by compassion and in the spirit of student welfarism, I led a coalition of over 70 comrades all over the country (SUG presidents, SRC leaders, NANS Zonal executives etc) and students from over 30 higher institutions in an online struggle, demanding One Year Free Education as palliative for Nigerian Students due to the hardship the lock down brought. This struggle was laudable, Although we didn't get our demands fully met but some clauses in our demand were meet in some quarters. Some of my contributions also include; *Holding free lessons for primary and secondary school students during the lock down. *helping many of our 2019/2020 freshers have a stress free online registration * holding "unannounced" tutorials for student across department and faculty *giving out free nose mask to students upon resumption from covid 19 break among many others. Like I said earlier, for me it has always been about building Value, making impact by being an agent of positive change wherever I find my self, and I've allowed my self to be driven by my compassion for humanity to the end that people live better lives and are better better version of themselves. - *Your Plans For The Students Of FUL* By the virtue of my activeness and closeness to past and present leaders of our union and constant interaction with the students I will say that I know the plights of the student. I must say that our past and present union leaders have done well. And I am coming to build on the struggles so far but with a different model. First let me state that I will be leading a *Demand Based Administration* my model to achieving laudable success is using the tool of *UNITY*. With unity of heart and purpose we will achieve alot for the student community. When elected, my struggle will involve not just my executive members but also all faculty and department presidents as we shall be having periodic bi-monthly Or monthly interface where we meet to discuss the plight facing the students in their respective department and faculty and we shall together seek solutions and act on it. This would cut across the entire executive offices. UNITY is a force for progress and I know if we are able to pull our energy together then we shall be able to serve the students community better. For purpose of reference the following are some of my watch point *Student Welfarism (Social welfare,Academic welfare etc) *FUL Campus radio. In training the students from mass communication, ELS, theater art etc on becoming an OAP *Periodic extra curricular seminars, workshops,Traning etc, for skill acquisitions and development *Student Union Autonomy giving rise to the emergance of the Student Representative Council (SRC). From the aformentioned,as stated earlier we shall be running a demand based administration, listening to the yarnings and demands of the student and acting on them. To this note I have designed a model already ready to be launched, where students can easily make contributions ,observations, constructively criticise the activities of the union and making their demand from the comfort of their homes. Everybody should have a voice and that voice should be heard, we want a student government were even the least individual has a say, after all we are here to serve the people not ourselves. Take me for my word. *"I have a clear cut vision and its-PROGRESSIVE"* with your support we shall together progressively move our union forward. I therefore call on all students of FUL to come out enmass on Friday 30th July to cast their vote. Canvass and Vote for KANT for the progress of *my union* *your union* *our union* I am counting on you! Emmanuel Sunday Attah (Immanuel Kant) *_Compiled_ _by_:Team Kant Media Team*

RAPE! Like the many stars on firmament's altitude, so were my dreams, my visions, my aspirations. All peaked, all glimmering, Puberty struck, misery struck, Then, there came the fully fledged lad in goodly guise Buoyancy was his name! A camouflage was he. I let him in unwary of the foe that he was, True bond surfaced, which became false alas! Honey were his words, His heart, his intentions, bile In the confines of my chamber that he was Woe hit me from within Like a lion ever ready to pounce on it's prey, So I was in the sight of he He bursted and thrusted into my confines below His groins unleashed a thousand jerks The pointed tips of my bosom, he chewed like bone My tears in torrents fell on the deafened ears of the striker In between yowls and yelps, I winced, For my flower has been hampered, tampered with Alas! Death throes it be It'd no longer blossom, nor stand out Will it? He broke me and broke my heart In the midst of many maidens esteemed, My head stoops low for I have no more a dignity, Anguish and misery have become daily doses No doubt, my life wallow in plenteous ruins. My face I conceal in utmost shame The joy, the dignity cherished and treasured, Undoubtedly forever, coercively taken from me I am messy, I am dirty! In heightened pains, I lay The sore nurturing declines to exit The young girl's dreams have been battered and shattered. Oh! Who would tame this pain? ©️ Victory Leonard's Pen.

UNFORGETTABLE AGONY Painting is for pictures too hard to understand so let me paint you a picture of a girl who has a little too much to understand.. her heart was a two ton brick in her fist that kept her pinned to the exact spot on the ground he wanted her to be in when she's 12 and those 27 minutes felt like eternity, clinging to her sanity like the last molecule of burned up air in a gas chamber she slept on cindered feathers sucking on the bones of her rotting body holding back panicked breaths like other kids hold stuffed animals sinister smiling eyes venom spit splashed across her limbs "You're so pretty.." you're so pretty. seeds of fear planted in a daughter, whose father, didn't know, she couldn't go any farther the limbs of her body bare branched creaking away from his whispered breaths leaves burned up with the heat of guilt hidden in the smoke are her pleading eyes her roots ripped up and flung away with the drop of his pants gritting teeth sewn shut with the bone needles of a broken bird brittle body vibrating against the pine tree that looked "so pretty," two hours ago melting into puddles she tried to pick up with dirty hands and a dirty heart dripping into the exact consistency of the mud he left her in fingernails full of his fingerprints and the dew on the grass came from her eyes and the sheen off her body clothing buried and burned smoking up to follow the bird that unwillingly flew away ©JAMES JAY

Tears Of Omotara I'm just ten and three years But my eyes already swollen from tears Which made me live with the pain That never come with a gain I'm just ten and three But he chose to take me for free When he defiled my body Because he become so Hot I'm just ten and three When he punctured my pride And denied me from being an honorable bride I'm just ten and three But I decided to live with the shame Since there is no one to take the blame Mom was always not around Or always busy in the kitchen Whenever I tried to whisper She never spare the time to listen Let me not say a word about dad He cared so much about his newspaper I'm just ten and three When my life became tattered And abashed But no one noticed at home © Ogunsola Ayobami Samuel

*my school my pride* by Ibrahim Abdulfatai omokayode Like a child resides for nine months in mother’s womb, Beautiful is the journey of nine years, amenity is my sweet home. Whatever I am today and will be in future, Most comforting arms of mother amenity is my creator. My school is my favorite hello and the toughest goodbye, Farewell brims my heart and transcend my eyes to cry. Memories will always be cherished in my heart, We would stay all together even from miles apart. Colossal thanks to all my supporting teachers, You are truly an excellent guiding leaders. My school has blessed me with the caliber to create a rainbow even in darkness, Thank you so much for blessing with gratifying path full of brightness. The crowd of flowers come out of a sudden, Amenity teaches the best lesson. Stars are many but the moon is one, Schools are many but my amenity is special one. My school is my pride, I’m grateful to thee, I am proud to be AMENITE and will always be. Epitome of success, ocean of knowledge, Hardworking teachers are the pillars to overpower any bridge. We started here together and now we’re leaving the same way, The blunder is we never appreciate what we had yesterday until it’s gone today. How lucky I am to have something that makes goodbye so hard, Great is the art of beginning but greater is the ending, have no word. Every parting is a form of demise, Every reunion is a type of paradise. The story of life is quicker than the blink of eye, It’s not so easy to say you a goodbye. One sunny day we will meet again, Tears create a flood out of rain.
