50calibre: How about isolating the whole northern region, allow women and children to pass through and then massacre every man, that utilitarianism (any action is justified provided it for the greater good of the greater population)
.
You will marry the women and adopt the children. Idiot.
PoliticsRe: El-Rufai To Soludo: You Created A Cancer by paulo007: 3:40pm On May 10, 2013
touch_me_hard: Well, just as Mallam EL-Rufai and other people have said, every story has at least three sides, my version, your version and the truth which lies somewhere in between the two. But next time, El- Rufai should please verify the veracity of whatever information he wants to present to the public because the degree of condemnations this book is receiving makes me doubt it's credibility. People in power don't want to be expose. You should expect them to be angry because someone is washing their dirty linen in public.

confusion247: What did OBASANJO do on that road for eight years he was on the throne? What did OBASANJO do to Shagamu-Ore-Benin road? Is Obasanjo Clueless too or not?
people like you will never make this country to move forward. If Obasanjo is bad, we should not talk again becos GEJ is the president so we should just continue with the terrible government of pdp.

PoliticsRe: Jonathan Goodluck's REPORT Card - Your Assessment by paulo007: 11:47am On Feb 14, 2013
Pygru: why don't u counter what he has said instead of insulting.
There is no point countering anything. I don't think there is a need for touch light to see landmark achievement. Stop telling us what GEJ government is doing, we are all nigerians and we have eyes too.
PoliticsRe: Your Thoughts On Jonathan's Comment At Police College, Ikeja? by paulo007: 12:27pm On Jan 19, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: This report by Punch is most likely false, mischievous, fallacious and ridiculous.

Punch is a WELL KNOWN opposition news media organisation. As I post this comment, I'm watching Channelstv Sunrise programme. One of the presenter (the male) confirmed that he was there live and commended the president for coming, though he said if not for the Channelstv exposee, the president wouldn't have come.

Most importantly, the Channelstv owner, John Momoh, was there live and accompanied Mr president all thru. Mr president couldn't have allowed him to accompany the team if he saw something wrong in what Channelstv had done.

The Channelstv that started all this reported Mr president's visit very well and nothing of such was contained in any of their report. Channelstv has been beating its chest since yesterday for triggering what led to Mr president visiting the police college.

I must also add that if indeed Mr president said those things in the same context as Punch and Nations (another ACN media house) reported, then Mr president erred in my opinion. No effort must be spared at exposing any rot ANYWHERE in the system, provided security of the nation will not be breached. Everyone must be held accountable.

The reality is that there's so much incompetence and nonchallance in the public sector. Most times even the SIMPLEST of things (as little as dusting of ones table or cutting of grass) are left undone because of govt property mentality.

Whatever, is the case, the police college will not remain the same again.
all the news paper quoted by you reported the same thing. Tribune and others did not mention the questions asked by the mr president why others like punch mentioned the questions. Simple.
PoliticsRe: What Has Nigeria Achieved So Far? by paulo007: 9:30pm On Sep 30, 2012
shymexx: Hmmmm... I'm in a good mood today, and I won't sound too pessimistic... With that being said, when I look at Nigeria - I see a country struggling for an identity, with disenfranchised citizens, corrupt elites, and a country where money rules everything...

However, Nigeria has come a long way, and despite its obvious failures/underachievements - it has its own achievements, no matter how meagre they might be...

- Nigeria went from having a less than 20% literate population 1960 - to about 80% in 2012(should have been higher if not for the North)... However, it can be argued that Northerners are literate in Islamic education as well, no matter how we look at it...
- Bringing stability to Liberia, Gambia, Guined Bissau, South Sudan, and Sierra Leone - is definitely an achievement...
- Nigerian music and entertainment industry has overachieved...
- A Nigerian company suppling internet access to millions of Nigerians/West Africans is an achievement...
- Nigeria has an alright banking system for African standards...
- The surge in the Nigerian middleclass is an achievement of some sort, if we compare it with what's attainable in the declining middleclass in most western countries...
- Nigerians have a high purchasing power/raw cash compared to most African countries...
- Lastly, we've come a long way from independence(when the whole country was RURAL) - to what we've got now...

Nigeria needs a lot of improvements, though...
Continue to live a life of deceit
