Omoshola was slow to act right, when Ebuka brought that up, Having apologized and made up with Mercy in the private regarding that, what stops him from saying so immediately and save himself the insult, at least, Mercy gave him enough time to make such amendment but rather he tried to justify his actions and hence, proving to Mercy that he was never truly sorry for those actions and if given the opportunity, he will do that again.

Like Sheyi said, he should have told Ebuka straight up that he felt bad afterwards and since had apologized to Mercy about them.

Beside, a man shouldn't be found going word to word with a woman. That's a thumb down.
