Chapter 9
Pamela Coker opened her eyes and couldnt see anybody around her,no food items around too,she checked around her bed for her baby but she found none,she was getting alarmed and began sitting up when Bode's mum entered the ward,Pam was about asking questions when the woman adviced her to save her breathe,she explained that Pam gave birth to a stillborn and that she has immediately made arrangement to bury the baby as she didnt want her seeing such a tragedy,Pamela was going crazy,tears began flowing from her eyes uncontrollably,Mrs Oriolowo sat down beside her and comforted her...
After much ado,Pam asked if they could leave for home as she has accepted her fate,and she asked whether Bode was back and if the news has been broken to him,Mrs Oriolowo breathed deeply and placed her hand on Pam's shoulder,she explained how Bode was so sad and disappointed about the occurence and she communicated to Pam that bode has no further intentions with her,bode wants out,he wants Pam not to see him or call him again.
Her whole world came crashing right in front of her,it was all just so unbeleivable,she got up to start going home when the woman sai they can't go home together,as that will be against her son's wish,saying all these,she left Pam in the hospital.
She watched the retreating figure of the mother of that man that made her a woman,the man she gave her all to,the only man that made her sin against everything in her world without forcing her,all she felt for Bode at that point was hatred in its purest form,and anger,at God and the universe,so nine months was just a waste?her career that she left for this baby-course to a waste?her family that she shut out,her education,her very high gp.all was..........she stopped the thoughts ,gathered herself and left the hospital for nowhere at all,knowing no one in the country she was in.......she just kept on walking.

when she was due for delivery,Mrs Oriolowo made known her desire for the baby to be delivered overseas,as this has been her dream,bode was happy about it and arrangements were made,they all travelled out of the country few days to Pam's delivery,all were joyful,pamela too started lighting up as things were not going as bad as she has envisaged,though getting to know Bode's mum wasn't on the best of notes,she was still grateful that the woman accepted her at last.
**just before Pam's delivery Bode was called in Nigeria for a very important business meeting,hw tried all means possible to avoid leaving but could not help it,he had to leave Pam in the care of his mum,and what's worse,he won't be there for Pam during delivery,he was very sad to leave but his mother promised to take care of his 'wife'.
