Obviously coming into the market you should know you will definitely lose some money, and the Ultimate goal is staying in the market as long as possible, inshort what I am trying to say is when you get to a stage where you risk a certain amount and your is not at rest or you cant sleep definitely you don't need anybody to tell you that you have risked what you cant afford to lose, when you enter the market your psychology needs to be stable, that's the reason for stop loss.

I think the question shouldn't be about using stop loss it should be are you risking too much of your account size on a trade, regardless of putting stop loss prices or not , I once read a book and there is a part that says once you risk a certain amount and you are not able to sleep at night, there and then you should know you are already risking too much, personally have come to realize that risking what you feel that even if the market goes against you, you don't care, I think that's the way to go, peace of mind is underrated in this trading journey

i dont think there is any amount you will lose to the market that you wont care

I know you don't know, but if I were you, I would've left the mandatory $100 in the account so as to participate the Real Arena's side of the competition. There happened to be fewer participants in that category. And those ones aren't trading like the Mad Max Fury in the Demo's side

And there are numerous perks in being in the Real category. To list a few; you can reset your account to initial starting balance if equity is going too low. And the prizes are damn huge.

I actually know about it.... But that will be for another day....

If he minimum trading days is 5 days, it means you must trade at least for five days before you can move to phase 2.... Even if you meet the profit target in day 2, you still have to trade for 3 more days.....

Although some brokers don't have the minimum trading days.. brokers like maven trade....

20% stop means you are in a serious draw down. How will such a person be in first position?

I mean you can have 5k as your equity, with open trades, once the market go against you and you make 1k loss even when you haven't closed the trade, you will automatically disqualified

Yeah, the Market is more volatile in NY session..... The 20% stop out rule is crazy , you can be in 1st position and still get disqualified....

As for me, when I was able to enter 3900 profit, I stopped trading.... Coz I knew I will surely win something with that profit .....
