PROBLEM SOLVED!

Turns out it wasnt a starcomms problem. The router (DLink DIR-412) wasn't compatible wiv my Starcomms slim modem (Huawei EC 168), very rare scenario though as it was about the only model unsupported. I therefore switched to WAN connection (switch behind the router), connected the supplied LAN cable and disabled DHCP from the router settings, then finally shared the Starcomms adapter (change adapter settings under network connections) specifying the LAN connection in the drop-down box & Viola!

I have a bit of a problem using starcomms izap on my D-Link 3G router. When I plug it in, it just blinks an orange light (without configuring). I wonder if I have to configure the router with starcomms user name, pword & number to dial? If yes, please what are the right settings. Thanks.
