During the protest by Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu (MON) in Umuahia, Abia state where the tribunal struck out his petitions against Chief Mao Arukwe – Ohuabunwa, Kalu in reaction to that verdict proceeded to the appeal court sitting in Owerri. In response to the petitioners demand stated that Chief Ohuabunwa was declared winner in error and subsequently recommended his sack from the hallowed chambers of the national Assembly with the evidence at hand and on ground.

However, the Appeal Court ordered INEC to conduct a re-run of that senatorial election. According to Dr. OJIKE, Nwakwo, a university lecturer at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture who doubles as the returning officer in the re-run of March 5th 2016 declared the result inconclusive before the party agents only to travel from Ohafia to Umuahia and declared Chief Ohuabunwa as the winner with the PDP agents only. Earlier, Nwankwo OJike claimed that some results from Arochukwu, Ohafia and Umunneochi which amounted to forty-four thousand votes are yet to be accounted for. How come the declaration of Ohuabunwa as winner. It could be recalled that it was also the same system Cellina Oko and co used last in April 2015 to announce the main result that was discarded at the court of Appeal in Owerri. In the same vein, the good people of Arochukwu, Ohafia and Umunneochi claimed in totality that they voted for OUK that the exclusion of their results was deliberate and the electorates from these local government Area said they can’t accept Ohuabunwa as their representative. They went further to state that the way and manner Chief Ohuabunwa assaulted a female bailiff at Arochukwu, that is too bad to the highest. Arochukwu people demand in earnest their votes to be counted in justification to the agony of their defiling the rain and sun to elect their choice candidate that is OUK. I watched my people file out to vote for OUK and I want to say that Dr. Nwankwo’s declaration of Ohunbunwa is not correct, no it is not true, Mazi Okoronkwo Okoro from Atani Village in Arochukwu asserted.

The inevitable posers therefore, are why did Dr. Ojike Nwankwo, who is related to Ohuabunwa try to deceive his fellow countrymen? Why did he attempt to steal Orji’s glory and bestow same on Arukwe? And if he could attempt to give an honour due Orji who was overwhelmingly voted for to Arukwe, what manner of man is he? Now to the basic, Ohuabunwa’s exterior portrays him as a man of gentle disposition. It, however, appears that behind the façade of this gentle look is a man of vaulting ambition or an opportunist. For DR. Ojike Nwankwo to rob Orji to pay Arukwe as it were, some see him as slippery. They say that he always wants to be in the good books of the man at the helm of affairs; may be he was promised to be made the next vice-chancellor after the electoral robbery. But can a winner of an election assault an ordinary female court bailiff? If he really won the election.

In Abia North change is inevitable with courageous and committed leaders like 'OUK' who is a great thinker with rare commitment to service and honor.
We urge you all right thinking people of Abia North extraction to put party, tribal,comradeship and other sentiments apart in order to produce a God fearing leader and not a leader from the back door or do or die senator.

From right, left and centre, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu is the candidate to beat.His countenance, his quality and above his humility stands him taller than others. We once again urge you good people of Abia North to join the train to make our place great by supporting the 'THE AFRICAN PILLAR OF SPORTS' in order to compete with other senatorial districts.

Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu (MON) by all standards, qualifies to be called a “great street sweeper” by virtue of his purposeful leadership and outstanding performance in his days as the Chief security officer of Abia state. Soft in appearance but tough in action, OUK has distinguished himself as a great and visionary leader who has succeeded within the years, he served as the governor of Abia state.

In taking the God’s own state to an enviable height and a place of pride in the country’s economic and social history. In the area of development, Abia state never had it so good, until the emergence of Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, history has it today that because of OUK’s tremendous developmental indices that the former President Obasanjo dubbed him the action governor. In fact, the performance of his administration of Abia state was indeed outstanding. This is a feat he wants to replicate in Abia North senatorial zone. He could be rightly regarded as a store-house of working knowledge. People say the teachers’ reward is in heaven, but OUK refused to have his in heaven rather prefer to have them here on earth with the people of Abia North senatorial zone.

Every business, both trading or governance has its own movers and shakers. These people whose single-handed determination, clear vision and sense of organization enable them to bring honour and prestige to their environment; it is always easy to see through their intentions a selfless desire to serve and do things right, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu MON) belongs to this class of people in the business of leadership. Abia North is backward in terms of democratic developments, no federal government project. We have witnessed a self-centred representation at the senate for the past years.
