Proposed travel date is a week from today…yet no visa.
Submitted incoming insurance on 18th, july. Interview was on 1st July.
Can I call them??…they don’t reply mails so no need to mail them🤦🏽‍♂️
I need help pls..any idea on what to do pls.🙏🏽

They specifically asked I either use a courier or submit in person at embassy’s gate… no option of sending it electronically via a mail or something.

Submit either physically at the embassies gate or using a courier, which ever way you wish to submit the document, a print out of the email sent by the embassy is required along side the other documents.

Got a mail from embassy to submit incoming insurance on friday.
Had my interview on the 1st july.

Whoever told you that doesn't know anything about the German visa process, or is ignorant about the possibilities. Be careful about such people even when you get to Germany. They openly display their ignorance and tell you "we've been here". Most importantly, avoid those who entered Germany via asylum. Just my two cents.

The ausländerbehörde appreciates that you have someone in Germany. This actually shows strong ties. I've heard baseless claims also about them preferring BA for SL lol. So laughable.

Make sure you input your cousin as your reference.

People often say the best answer when asked “if you know anyone in Germany” is “NO” so it doesn’t give this family reunion vibe..

I enrolled and my visa interview is in 2weeks.

I just heard from someone that I would be asked if I was attending classes.

Did you really get AD today? Mine was also 8th of September 2023 but till now I didn't get any AD.

Don’t be worried pls…I know 2 persons with 8th sept that didn’t get AD yesterday.
The only confirmed date where embassy stopped yesterday was sept 2nd, the rest dates were assumptions without any confirmation.

3. WAEC Certificate / BECE (Original and 1 photocopy)
3. international Passport (Original and 1 photocopy)
4. Passport Photograph
5. Health Insurance (You can use Dr Walter)
6. CV
7. Motivation Letter
8. Admission Letter / Enrollment Certificate
9. Email confirmation for Visa Booking
10. Prepaid Courier (DHL is around 9k)
11. Sponsorship Letter and Photocopy (Original and 1 photocopy) OR Blocked Account Confirmation
12. Birth Certificate (Original and 1 photocopy) OR Affidavit (Original and 1 photocopy)
13. Transcript (Original and 1 photocopy)
14. Bsc Certificate (Original and 1 photocopy)
16. IELTS/Proof of English Proficiency (Original and 1 photocopy)

The above is assuming you are going for Masters.


PLEASE NOTE: They won't accept cash transfer from you, so you either go with raw cash, or fund your ATM Card.
It's advisable to go to any DHL, UPS or Courier service you intend to use before your interview, and just tell them you need a prepaid courier envelope, they know what to do, then you take the parcel with you to the embassy..

The mail sent by the embassy asking for another incoming health insurance clearly stated the cause of rejection…”FREE TRAVEL”

I learnt the original owner of the incoming health insurance chose a wrong application category when applying in Dr. Walters website.

The correct category for an incoming health insurance is “Educare 24”

This incoming health insurance was rejected by the embassy because they wrote “free travel” in it..

Who has used Dr. Walters incoming health insurance should show us a sample of what a correct incoming insurance document from Dr. Walters looks like🙏🏽…and cost too.

Go through the Embassy checklist again and be sure of the Documents that is required and try to gather them. I think you should request for your Bachelors Certificate.

Some persons, their degree certificate isn’t ready yet which is exactly why the question was asked.

I’m predicting that embassy gives out 5 days AD from where they previously stopped every Friday and 22-26days for the appointment interview from the date of the AD.
This coming Friday, I hope people that applied August 6th gets AD.
That way it helps you plan your moves accurately.

Who else noticed that it is now mandatory to upload your means of livelihood and evidence of secured admission before you can apply on the new consular portal.
Perhaps! These were optional as of last month.
It shows that they keep updating their website.

So people are expected to get an admission, pay for enrollment/semester fee for like 3 semesters (approximately £1k) while waiting for more than 18months in the wait list?

Someone got a date today on the German Telegram group I am on his appointment is May 6th and he said he booked an appointment August 25 2023.

I just joined the telegram group where the screenshots was gotten from…If you read through, you will notice the brethren clearly can’t tell when he registered.
Someone that registered August 1st 2023 wasn’t given an appointment date today.

Embassy does not ask for travel insurance anymore. Just get an incoming health insurance and that will be all. You can submit it on the day of your interview, or wait until they ask for it. Approvals have being happening after 7 days of interview, so it's your choice

Pls I have a health insurance which I used during my enrollment because my school asked that my insurance letter be transmitted to them electronically by the insurance company, can I still use that same insurance letter as an “incoming health insurance”…or I should apply for incoming health insurance from another company in Germany??

Are you expected to summit travel insurance on the day of your interview…or you wait till you are asked to??

I used “die techniker”, it wasn’t easy tho.
I have a friend in Germany which I used his house address as my residential address. They sent all the necessary insurance documents to his apartment via post and then to my school, electronically.

Monthly insurance cost £85 for die techniker, I did for long term(6 months). I’d be paying the total sum of the money by the end of the 6 months, with some extra charges for choosing the long term option.

My school (Rhine-waals university of applied science) demanded that the students health insurance must be sent to them electronically by the health insurance company, which I did. am I expected to get that very health insurance letter for my visa interview??

Secondly, i want to believe that travel insurance is different from health insurance, and how can I get a travel insurance??

I have an option to do change of name with my Local Govt. where my birth certificate was issued, should go on with it or it’s better doing affidavit for the old one?

You will need to do an authentic affidavit for change of name for your birth certificate. Also if you were born before December 1992 and have an NPC birth certificate (the green coloured one), they would likely reject it and ask you to do a declaration of age, backed by your parent or a family member older with 15 years.
