I am also working towards getting my COREN Certification and License. I have also noticed that one of the major challenges to many applicants who want to be licensed by COREN to practice engineering, is where their supervisors do not keep up with their yearly practicing fees. Do not allow this to stop you from becoming a licensed and registered COREN Engineer as required by law; another licensed engineer at your work place, who owes COREN no debts can attest for you with the approval of your supervisor. One of your proposers who is a Registered COREN Engineer (who is not owing COREN) at your engineering place of work, or department, or field of specialization is equally qualified to attest for you, and s/he can be of help in this regard. Ok. It seems like COREN has updated the registration procedure.

|
There are 2 different technical reports that are required for COREN Engineer registration/application. One of them is a "3-page technical report" which has to be uploaded during the initial application stage, and the other one is a very "detailed engineering technical report" that is duly signed, sealed and approved by your confirmer that attested for you. This second technical report is what you will present and defend on your presentation/interview day. Some engineers refer to call it "bulk technical report". If you are seeking information regarding COREN registration/application which is crucial, but not on their website, I would suggest that you VISIT any of the COREN BRANCH OFFICES nearest to you. A 3-page technical report is one of the mandatory documents required for submission at the very first stage during the application process, even before getting an invite for an exam and interview. Unityp: |
Someone (eg. Your Supervisor, Boss, etc. who is a Registered COREN Engineer in the same engineering specialization which you also belong to) at your engineering place of work or institution, and who is willing to attest for you regarding your (4+ years postgraduate) work experience in your engineering field. Hope this helps. naijareferee: |
Check their website for their email addresses, and email them your complain. CDanny: |
Please let's be very careful with our information and documents (eg I-20, admission letter, scholarship letter, international passport information etc), and don't share them. As there are many genuine students here in this forum, there are also many fraudulent individuals here; they may even operate in groups. Please let's be careful with our documents and personal information. |
You did the right thing for declaring your previous master's degree. grace2all: |
There's no appointment dates appearing in Lagos yet. |
Yes, you will be given a different passport number when you apply for the renewal of your old passport. However, if you are aiming for the newly improved passport, your old passport number will be stated on your renewed passport. Kassidy4luv: |
Have you been able to get an appointment date in Lagos? Mcquine: |
I was also invited to the COREN professional test and interview in Lagos this year, and my application has been recommended to the Council. Please when should we be expecting a decision regarding our applications? Many thanks. |
Hi, Contact the DSO or international student office of your prospective school for clarity. kayuz40: |
Here is my question: Is ideal to book an accommodation at your prospective school before you obtain your F1 visa? |
Duration of a Master's degree program is usually between 1 and 2 years. However, there are few that can stretch to 3 years. |

My first time here. |
NIPOST needs to upgrade their services. Mails are generally not delivered as scheduled. |
Hello, Please, I need your assistance. I sent academic document for admissions from a NIPOST office in Lagos to a school abroad on November 11, 2018. Yesterday (February 28, 2018), the school informed me that they have not received my academic document. It is a registered mail at the cost of #400 (four hundred naira). I have tracked it on www.usps.com, www.trackitonline.ru and NIPOST's site but the results are "unavailable" responses. I have also reported the issue to the NIPOST office but no meaningful response. I am so worried right now because the deadline is March 12, 2018. The worst part is that NASU is on strike, meaning that, at this moment, I cannot order for another document to be re-sent via DHL. PLEASE, I NEED YOUR HELP. THANK YOU. |
