Career › Re: Physiology Effects Of Destroying Someone Else Name To Gain Favor From The Manage by peterminds(m): 8:36am On Sep 03
Chai, I feel this thread well well.

I get similar story. Final year, everything ready to graduate — one bad decision (I covered for the wrong person) cost me my certificate. No degree, no explanation I fit give my parents.

For weeks my mind just dey tell me say I don finish. But I later realize say the paper no be my skill — na just paper. I still get the knowledge, still get the ability.

I later write down everything I learn from that season — how to operate your mind before life's setbacks operate you. If anybody dey pass through something similar, make you no give up. Your story no finish yet.

Make I gist una small.

I was 23 years old. Final year for University school. I don pass everything — courses, project self, I don defend everything. I dey wait for that certificate wey I don read hard for, for 5 years.

Then few days before, before graduation... school tell me: "We are dismissing you." for one matter when we talk for senate oh... Concerning one guy when we cover for inside class room problem oh... The thing shock me. Them free the guy, But them tell me say Bye Bye.

No certificate. No graduation. No explanation wey I fit give my papa and mama.

Just like that, everything wey I plan finish, scatter.

If you don ever experience wetin dey pain reach where you fit no even talk am to anybody... abeg continue read this thread. E fit be your own turnaround story too.

For weeks after that dismissal, my own mind became my greatest enemy. Every night I go sleep with voices for my head telling me:

"You're a failure."
"You just wasted five years."
"You will never amount to anything."

And the annoying part be say — I never suddenly become foolish or lose my knowledge, that is wetin them teach me for school. I was still trained na. I still had the skill from every practical we did at school. But because I no come get that paper when them dey call Certificate again, my mind begin tell me say I be nobody.

That na when I realize something wey change my whole life:

One bad decision fit make your mind cancel your entire life — if you allow am.

I no gats explain the whole story here, but that experience na wetin push me to write "From Regret To Revenue" — a mindset playbook wey I build from everything wey almost break me. How, I begin to turn the REGRET TO INCOME. Ohh Boy, nor go there oh.

Inside the book, I break down:

The 3 Mind Viruses wey dey stop most people from moving forward (Copying, No System, Comparison + Fear) — one of dem fit be exactly wetin dey hold you now.

How your mind and heart work together (or against each other) anytime you dey try build something
A simple, practical framework I call "Operate Your Mind" — wetin to do BEFORE you post that video, start that business, or make that big decision.

Real stories — including the exact night I lost my certificate, and how I rebuilt from zero.

This book na for anyone wey:

✅ Don try something before and e no work, and you don begin doubt yourself
✅ Feel say maybe your time don pass, or you too old to start again
✅ Don survive one hard thing, but you never see how e fit turn to something valuable

No fake motivation. No "just believe in yourself" grammar. Just the real, practical process. I dey tell you.

If na 23, 33, or 53 you dey — na today be the best day to stop letting one chapter convince you say the whole book don finish.

Your regret is not your ending. E fit just be your raw material.

Literature/Writing Ads › The Day My Mind Almost Killed Me. (real Story) by peterminds(op): 7:02am On Sep 03

I was 23 years old.
Final year.
I had done everything I was supposed to do.
I passed my courses.
I defended my project.
I had completed the training.
I was ready to walk out of school with my certificate and begin the career I had spent years preparing
for.

But I walked out with nothing.

No certificate.
No graduation.
No way to explain to my parents how five years of work had suddenly disappeared.
And the reason?
I made one terrible decision.
I trusted the wrong person.
He was involved in something illegal. I knew enough to report it, but instead of speaking up, I covered
for him because I thought I was helping.
I wasn't.
The school eventually found out.
And then came the words that changed everything:

“We are dismissing you.”

Just like that, the future I had imagined disappeared.
The Voices In My Head
For weeks, my mind became a battlefield.
“You're a failure.”
“How will you face your family?”
“You just wasted five years.”

“What will you become now?”
“You will never amount to anything.”
I went to bed with those thoughts.
I woke up with them.
And after hearing something long enough, you can begin to believe it.
The painful part was that I hadn't suddenly become ignorant.
I was still trained.
I still had the knowledge.
I still had the ability.
My records still existed.
But because I didn't have the certificate, my mind began telling me that I was nothing.
That is how powerful the mind can be.
One bad decision can become a story your mind keeps repeating until you begin to believe that your
entire life is a mistake.
The Voice That Makes You Hide
Sometimes, you don't need ten people to discourage you.
One voice is enough.
One experience is enough.
One failure is enough.
One embarrassing moment is enough to make someone hide for years.

Think about Simba in The Lion King.
He was made to believe that he was responsible for something terrible, by his evil uncle, who told him
to RUN and never come back to the Pride Land. The guilt and manipulation pushed him away from
home.
He ran.
He hid.
And for a long time, he lived according to a story that wasn't the truth about who he was.

I understood that feeling.
I ran from my own story.
I hid my disappointment.
I became afraid of what people would think.
One mistake had become bigger in my mind than everything I had achieved before it.
