Because the word Jesus was formerly spelt as Iesous as the letter 'J' was introduced in d year 1600. Iesous is combination of Ie and sous. Ie means hail, while sous means Zeus d greek god. So in encient greek word Iesous/jesus means hail zeus. Our Messiah's name is Yeshua in Hebrew. Jesus is a greek word meaning hail zeus.
