That's why the manager is trying to get perisic in! A wingers job is simple...beat your man or 2 with your skill or pace in tight situations, attack and continuously move into the channels and float or whip in crosses for your strikers while offering any sort of protection to your full back! I don't know where martial thinks he is but united does not have time for any drama this season! Maybe a few months spent watching perisic from the bench would remind of what his duties are!

While all that is true, Martial played as a striker alongside Lukaku. There wasn't much wing play in today's match. There are instances where he could have passed to Lukaku, but he chose to shoot. Missitaryan also missed some chances b4 he scored. Heck, Lindelof missed a wide open net and ballooned the ball into the stands... I guess that was why Mourinho told the female ESPN reporter that Lukaku played better than the people that scored even though he did not score.
He terrorized their defense but he was selfish. I think pairing Lukaku and Rashford will be way more productive than Martial. Rashidi was in god mode today.

Fosu Mensah will have to learn how to calm down. He jumps into tackles recklessly. Though he made a very intelligent run down the flank and provided an assist.
Andreas Pereira shouldn't be sent on loan again. The guy is good.

Martial was very wasteful, first team played with more fluidity than the 2nd and we conceded very avoidable goals..

Chelsea are not getting Lukaku. I watched three skysports journalists that interviewed Lukaku about his transfer to another club to which Lukaku said that he already knows where he is going and his agent knows. That they have been in contact since and when the time is right, everybody will know. So when he started holidaying and training with Pogba, Skysports even went as far as referring to Pogba as 'agent pogba' grin

When Everton said that there was no deal, the same senior staff at Everton were the ones that told skysports about the add-ons...
Then Everton now said that did not give Lukaku any permission to stay in America. Skysports reported that they were just trying to make manutd conclude the deal faster so that they can get Rooney's deal done and if manutd doesn't agree to their add-ons, then they will allow Chelsea in on the deal and possibly at a bigger price than 75mil.

Nobody is saying anything about our left back situation. Is Mourinho going to trust Shaw again for next season after spending the greater part of his contract duration on the treatment table? Or maybe Rojo? And both are currently not available. We will be making a mistake not signing a cover for that position this transfer window.
