Mikepenny5:Yes there is solution. Find your friend, organisation or relative who can stand as your sponsor so that he or she or the entity can attest to a court affidavit as your legitimate and honest sponsor . After that you have to deposit your tuition deficit (in Canadian $ ) into a Nigerian or foreign bank in the name of your sponsor. Print out the bank statement and submit it along with your sponsor's SOP with the study visa application. In all . Make sure that the bank statement and deposit logs is genuine and come directly from a verifiable financial institution because the embassy will take time to verify. Once verified you will be cleared from POF point. |
Predator188:I thought its an indoor forum. If you want to quote anyone quote in a reasonable way. dont quote me to advertise your office thereby rendering my original opinion useless while the asker is being deceived. Those who studied English as a Second Language in Canada eventually become legal residents. There re hundred of ways one can become a PR after study. |
amnotapervert:Excuse me sir. Stop quoting my post in doing a personal guidance. This is why and how you initiated all those attacking you. You have given your advice and i gave mine so allow the asker to juggle from different opinions. When you study history in B.A and Msc and you want to go for phd in Biology because its PR selective do you think you can get the visa ? This is one of the reasons your visa is being denied. Every student visa applicant's focus should be how to secure the visa in the first place and i gave my opinion based on her and the husband profiles. With due respect no one should use my post or comment to repost. We re not doing competition. Give your opinion and move on and let the op do the remaining research. |
wondychiqe:Pls disregard any negative jab. Both of you have a very good average Nigerian profiles and study visa still remain the fastest type of visa you can use to enter Canada and do almost all the stuffs Canadian citizens do ie opening bank account, driving , work-study etc providing you are maintaining your studentship. If your Msc cgpa is in good standing you should be the one to apply but i will recommend Phd. Your career as a Nigerian senior civil servant is a good omen especially if you have been working on the path of your course f study. If otherwise, your husband as an engineer is good to apply but let it be in STEM program. Dont settle for less. |
lanresz:Thank you for the correction. I thought it was PR. Nevertheless no one should say " this forum has gone to shit. Thats an insult to all Nairalanders including yourself. There has been argument and misunderstanding of opinions and ideas on Nairaland right from the beginning and that does not mean NL is not improving in providing services in various aspects. We should stop forming bigmanism when giving public correction. |
clayfounder:God bless you. @justwise just warned everyone. He still wanted to disorganise the thread. I have directed him to where he can reapply for another PPR 😎 |

amnotapervert:Stop replying that clown. Amovingman is the same person as uchennay. He is a travel agent whose convidence turn to zero whenever private contributors like us keep giving near accurate opinion. He quickly thinks such person is an agent who wanted to take his job 😀 I just pasted where he was trying to hoodwink a Canada Visit visa applicant into abandoning his visa process and divert to Europe. Stop replying the pupil. Face what you are doing . |
Amovingman:You are the real scam artist. You went to visit visa thread and advertised Eurooean countries. Was that the best answer to the question of the poster ? Someone have applied already for Canada visa but you were advertising Europe for the asker. God will keep exposing you. Stop disorganising every thread. Stop putting square peg in a round hole.
|
Jamesclooney:The temporary visa restriction will apply to you in any U.S embassy worldwide if you present a Nigerian passport. If you are qualified for the B1/B2 visa after the interview the consular will ask you to pay $5,000 deposit (Bond) before issuing your visa. If your case is confusing the visa officer your bond can be placed at $15,000. Your bond payment would be returned once you return back to Nigeria . |
funkyy598:The same uchennay: coming out in different accounts. You are always believing that everyone is a scammer or stephen ayantoye. I have attached the bait email you sent to me (below) and i think you have received your reply. Why are you trying to turn Nairaland into your private property? I beg the admin of Nairaland to find solution to all these people that are having multiple accounts in bullying out new members. If i opened my account yesterday and started talking sense does that make me your enemy ? Your primary school tactics is to send a bait email to me. Go and repent .
|
uchennay:You never proved me wrong because i did not throw any wrong news on this platform. I am the one who have been proving you wrong. Let me soften my english grammer for you. When a Nigerian sss 3 student is done with waec. Admission into University will come automatically : The meaning of the sentence is that friends, family, teachers etc and the student natural inclination will tell him or her when to go and obtain UTME form and when to start jamb lesson. and the rest is a story if he or she pass the jamb once or 10 times. Mr. Leave the prospective student visa applicants on this thread alone. Let them focus on how to process admissions and visa. Stop creating the fear of what awaits them during PR process. |
Amovingman:Stop laying curses on yourself. This is the time admin should start disciplinary actions against kids on this platform. Can the admin pls probe this kid to show evidences of those i have scammed ? Cc @justwise. Whenever you discover that someone is shedding light against your reverse psychology that person will turn to a scammer. Must you discuss PR here ? Lets focus on admission and the processing of study visa. What follows the receiver of a study visa in Canada is not your load. |
Amovingman:Stop using same person different accounts to bombard this thread. You want to proof public support. Show the admin the evidece of me being Stephen Ayantoye. Agents that does not know right from wrong . |
walenden:@uchennay why are you using a different account to proof unnecessary points ? Dont You get my stand ? Dont tell Canada Student Visa applicants about how Canadian quack colleges are closing up campuses or how they are laying off staffs. Memorial University, McGill and other federal institutions cannot lay off staffs or close campuses because of Africa issues. This section is strictly on study visa. Go and discuss immigration visa on PR section. Common be a responsible student. |
uchennay:Am i supposed to have created my account 20 years ago ? Or has Nairaland stop accepting new member ? Or am i supposed to have used 10 years on Nairaland before i started contributing to the topics ? If i am the only one on Nairaland with my email on my profile then let the admin delete my profile right now . Your contact on your profile does not mean advertising. We have various aims on Nairaland . An organisation may seek my service as a reviewer or admission Counselor etc so dont have the illusion that i am a travel agent. If nairaland is not doing anything positively in your life Mr i challenge you to delete your account right away. If you cannot do that it means you are in the same boat with all nairalanders. am not selling any dream you are the one selling your dream. I am following and maintaining Nairaland policy by not derailing the thread. Go and advertise the closure of Universities and Canada economy in the politics section. When a student got admitted into Canadian school and he or she was able to graduate successfully the Permanent Residency pathway will open automatically. Such student would have made friends with Canadians and Americans or even dating a citizen in the case of a single student so friends and school officials as well as natural immersion will teach such graduate with the next steps. Stop promoting PR on Student Visa thread indirectly . |
uchennay:You are the real visa agent who is creating fear in the study visa thread in order to gain clients for the PR (Permanent Residency) section. What is the business of Nigerian prospective study visa applicants with the closure of some campuses or laying off of staffs? My friend, Canada is bigger than Nigeria almost 13 times and do you think (lets say) the whole of Nigeria and even Ghana stopping all student visa application to Canada will cause any public research University in Canada to lay off staffs or close their campuses 😀 ? If McGill University even has an annex campus in Abuja they wont close the campus because of that. Go and research the population of Chinese students alone in Canada not to talk of Japan, India, Thailand etc before we go to European countries. All your postings is to create unnecessary fear in the mind of prospective student visa applicants and channel them into PR which is (PR) 100% harder to acquire. That apart, if any Nigerian student graduated in a Canadian University and find it difficult to stay behind then let him or her come back home and use the brain for our country or are not 85% of study visa applicants promising in their visa applications to return home after study ? The fact that one graduated successfully from any Canadian reputable institution and return home is a life time feat that will always attract employers of labour or any organisation in your curriculum vitae ( rèsumè). I am an independent observer and if you claim i am an agent kindly post the evidence . Besides there are lot of agents from other countries learning from Nairaland or do you think that Nairaland is a small village 😎 My friend lets focus on the goal of this thread. How to process Canada Student Visa. Not how to process PR or how the canadian Universities are laying off staffs. |
Jimmy17:Your 2nd class Upper is not sufficient to pull the stunt and you do not have any work history to back it up. If your major was in Chemistry, Engineering, Medicals etc and you have a work history with good recommendations that is when your profile would have attracted a department or a professor . Or If your 2nd class Upper was attained in an Msc standing you would have also attracted a potential professor for Phd enrolment. Nonetheless, send mail to the department of your choice in all of the schools you have listed. Elaborate your skills and potentials in the mail as well as your interest in fundings. This is where you will know your admission and funding standings .. As per other questions relating to visa process duration you can go to the official Canada high commission website. Or return to earlier pages of discussion in this thread for various tips. |
House34:I disagree with your opinion. No school in Canada is facing financial pressure because even if the whole of Africa stop applying to Canadian institutions only China alone will cover the gap. Remember there are India, Arab nations, European countries, Brazil , Argentina and the Caribbeans etc. Therefore there is no shortage of international students enrolment in Canada. As for Permanent Residency. The fact that every reader of this post should take is that if you are able to graduate successfully in any accredited canadian institution no matter the course of study your PR will eventually be established. Lets focus on the main topic which is How to process the Canada study visa successfully. Anything the student face in Canada after study is irrelevant topic. |
TaxLawyer:Pls any mathematician in the house should come and help us to interpret this calculus. Turkmenistan had full ban and her president met with Trump so that their full ban is now a temporary ban. In order word Turkmenistan non immigrant visas is now being granted. In the case for Nigeria. We are on temporary ban on non immigrant visa. Are we not now equal with Turkmenistan? So will the embassy not grant our genuine non immigrant visas ? Kidnappers are adding salt to our injury. Trump is not meeting with our president in this year 2026 until there is no more kidnapping and beheading news. So are we going to wait for ever or those who have genuine non immigrant visa journey should continue with their process ? I know many business CEOs who still travel to negotiate goods to be imported to Nigeria. The wise one should debate on this without insult or childish talk. |
AbelAbdul:You are a good decoder 😀 He was advising people to return to Muritala airport at the same time posted that we have to face the promotion of study visa since that is the aim of the thread. So who is now the creator of fear to the prospective student visa applicants ? The Admin should ban any word or sentences or phrase that is related to PR or other unrelated topic other that how to process the Canada study visa. That is the aim of this thread. |
TaxLawyer:The probability of lifting the temporary ban is clear and obvious. Go to US Abuja/Lagos website and click on news . You will discover that both U.S and Nigeria has a very good continuous relationship. That being said. Nigerians are traveling to and fro right from the beginning of the temporary ban and to be honest without sugar coating i know many i mean many Nigerians who have being going in and out without any issue. Nigeria is almost a muslim majority country ( i stand to be corrected) and the terrorists are hiding under islam jihad. The United States knows this and what they can do to curb the inflow of Nigerians is to create a psychological fear cum rigorous visa application vetting. What i mean by the above is that 75% of all the visa applicants are holding back under the fear of they will deny my visa or my mrv would be gone. But the truth is that if you have a genuine reason to travel to the United States your visa would be granted. We might wait for ever if we are waiting for the announcement day. Schools are giving admission. First bank is selling MRV and the appointment page is open. Let us reason together. |
Sheron50:But honestly, I would not advise even my enemy to come to Canada as a student without doing serious research, especially if PR is the goal. I would rather encourage people to consider learning French and exploring other better pathways. This is my fourth year in Canada. I came as a PR, and I live in Toronto. There is a school close to my house, and I have seen many Nigerian students crying and regretting their decision because of academic stress, financial pressure, difficulty getting work, and no clear pr route. Your post above is a reverse psychology in discouraging people to process Study visa but i agree you may not do it deliberately. Any fresh graduates out of secondary school or higher institution from Nigeria would be discouraged by reading ; I have seen many Nigerian students crying. But you did not see any PR holders who were engaged in robbery or internet fraud and deported back to Nigeria 😎 We are all intelligent guys so different opinion is allowed. Pls i am posting as a self observer therefore i dont know abel abdul or anyone here so no one should tag me with anybody. We are doing great work here in liberating people. |
evachy:are you a male or female ? Has anyone reply you since about 2 days ? Stop throwing bait questions on nairaland. Nobody is stopping you from your travel agency work. A sister who is typing like a brother 😀 |
evachy:Guy supply chain management is not in green list, so I do not understand where this information is coming from. You asked for general opinion and i gave you open counsel in which i did not mandate you to follow. In all my respond you can only point out that supply chain management is not on the green list and then ? Does that make me a scammer or what ? I did not look at Newzealand Immigration web i only advised based on natural logic Not long i saw that you initiated a message to me via Nairaland in which i never expected. My conclusion is that you agents are usually afraid of new contributors and how to devalue the person 's reputation. You asked question and quickly you have turned to expert who knew that supply chain management is not on the green list. Did i forced you in my reply ? If you are a know all or expert then stop throwing fake questions to the public. This is the style of travel agents who wants to dominate Nairaland. |
Sheron50:I appreciate your comment but it indirectly knocked off Canada study visa prospects which i dont agree with most of your points. Number one, anything discouraging Canada Study visa is not supposed to be posted here because this particular thread is for Students willing to go and study in Canada. 1. How many Nigerians do you expect to start learning Frènch language ? I did chinese language in one of the Nigerian Universities and have to drop it when i could not write 1 to 10 in local Chinese all through year 1 🙄 2. How many Nigerians will wait for longer processes of Canada PR and what is the percentages of successful applicants? The fact and the truth is that Study Visa remain the 2nd best type of visa any one can use to enter United States, Canada, UK, Australia, Newzealand , Brazil, Germany , South Korea and many advanced countries of the world regardless of your course of study. Permanent Residency Visa or Green Card is number 1 but how many people or applicants qualifies in a given year ? All Phd and Msc study visa applicant's into any of the listed countries are hotcakes and needed if they are manitaining superb cgpa because they are the future lecturers , researchers, manufacturers etc. Back to Residency Paper. Any International student in Canada who did not jump fence or cross the border illegaly and who is maintaining his or her studentship will eventually be established via working permit, marriage , company sponsor etc. Canada has 10 provinces and 2 territories so therefore , if one province is wasting your time one can nove to the other. |
AdetolaMary:For the ielts free resources Kindly look out for those experts on facebook and youtube respectively. They offer free resources as you can see yourself and here is their main links i could find. https://www.ieltsadvantage.com/ https://m.youtube.com/user/ieltsliz Regarding scholarships you have to personally combed the Candian Universities and specifically your department and pre-email them the summry of your academic standing may be you might find a department/professor who can offer you graduate assistant / fundings etc. US Universties are better off in this aspects because they have more Universities than Canada and each department offers international students fundings based on available grants. Send application inquiry to as many public research Universities in Canada as you can and try to display your scholar ability in your email. Some courses like Statistics, Pure Chemistry, etc offers more fundings than others therefore , you have to do the search yourself.
|
amnotapervert:@AdetolaMary should go ahead in writimg the IELTS exam because its generally a requirement from 70% of Canadian Universities. Although english-standardised tests like ielts is usually waived (optional) for applicants from Commonwealth countries (Ghana, Nigeria , Uganda, Gambia etc ) but writing it and passing it will sprinboard your admission decision since many applicants will go with the waiver option and few candidates who submitted (regardless of the waiver) would be counted as the outstanding students. If however you are willing to go with the waiver option you can ask the registrar office at your alma mater (principal office in case of high sch student) to write out an english language proficiency letter for you . Note. Writing standardised tests , coming out with good results and submitting a copy along with your visa application is a point most study visa applicants are not aware of. |
evachy:You should have kept to your Chemistry path because its a hot selling course of study. My suggestions is for you to look out a Phd in supply chain management /Marketing etc or STEM-MBA. (Phd in Chemistry would have been the best but i dont know if you can retract the route ). Your 15 years of professional experiences will help your admission in either option but you need strong recommendations as well as strong SOP. |
amnotapervert:Thank you for your input. Nobody knows all. We re all learning from one another. Taking a loan is generally not good but that does not mean that some have not gotten visas with loan. Pls lets focus in educating the general public with our ideas and skills because Nairaland is not serving Nigerians alone. Pls all parties should forget rift and work together 🙏 |
