And if the person has been working professionally with global multinationals for the past 18 years since graduation?
Psychologically lets say that person is a grade- A average Nigerian who is married with kid (s). Tell us why does he or she needs to apply to Pgd or an Msc at this moment over those gap years he has been working ? The only reasonable application for such individual is stem- mba or Phd or advanced religious study.

Another exception is when the multinational company (employer) is reaponsible for the mandated upgrade of his or her academic qualification and there must be proof for that beyond doubt.

If none of the above then such fellow would better off with visiting visa during xmas perhaps taking his or her family to Horseshoe Falls in Canada 😊

Is it through that the Canadians dont like giving study visa to Nigerians for PGd programs at Canadian graduate universities/colleges?
Yes it is true. The United States have warned and cautioned The Canadian and Mexican government of issuing unvetted visas on Study permit.

Canada has one of the most funny colleges founded by Chinese and Arab billionaires so therefore , they (Canada , Mexico , Northern Marianas etc) re issuing the visas knowingly or unknowingly to terrorists " money launderers" kidnappers " fraudsters etc.

For your information, Canada is now adopting the US style of visa application vetting. In order words your visa wont be issued based on the school fees you have paid or the millions in your hired bank statement. Your visa would be issue based on genuine intentions.

Back to your question: You must be certain that you are applying to accredited and certified institutions. Any person (s) above the age of high schooling applying to colleges without genuine reason or explanations of your gap year wont smell Canada study visa. ✌

Your third paragraph is the real thing, anyone with advanced degree qualified to file for EB2, approval or rejection lie solely at the discretion of the reviewing officer and proposed endeavor. And to be clear EB2 doesn't need you to be top of your field, you only need to show a proposed endeavor that is of national interest (which is quite easy for stem, based on government national interest list) and evidence that you can achieve the proposed endeavor.

You're making a lot of assumptions about OP, rather than asking questions.

From the little we know about the OP, he/she qualifies to file for EB2, approval or denial is another ball game entirely.
Mr you are the one making assumptions and getting the meaning of Eb1 and Eb2 in a wrong way. That is why you have the illusion that every dick and harry with advanced certificate automatically qualified to apply for Eb2.

The person in subject (op) failed to gain admission into a Phd from 5 countries and that should tell you how lower his or her cgpa is or how average his or her admission application profile.

EB2 is not an easy visa type. Stop advicing every dick and harry to go for it .

horlahsunbo225:
What you said doesn't prove anything, EB2 only ask for advance degree and he/she holds one, so I dont see what she/he cant apply. If he has 4 paper with 30+ citations, he/she has a higher chance of been approved.
What i said proved something. Dont just be quick to advise people on theory while disregarding others opinion.

Was the asker thesis for his or her Master’s something that would bring the United States a short or long-term strategic advantage from a military, economic and or technology perspective?

Yes, even a fresh graduate can qualify for an NIW EB2 visa with a Master’s degree and no experience if their Masters and supporting thesis would be of national interest to the United States.”. That is what is meant by “national interest”. You know or have done something that would significantly benefit the United States.

Bottom-line is that you need to be offering something much more than a US education to qualify for an NIW EB2 visa. Your skills, knowledge and or ability have to rise to the level americans would prefer you working for them in the United States rather than for any other government in the world. That’s the standard.

You need to mention your discipline, degree and your grade before people can really help you. Also, if you have money and publications, try EB2NIW
No. EB2 is a wrong idea for the asker. He or she is an Msc holder who is still struggling to enrol for Phd .

Please note this :

The EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) is an employment-based, second-preference visa that allows highly skilled foreign nationals to get a U.S. Green Card without an employer sponsor or a labor certification. It is a self-petitioned visa available to professionals with advanced degrees or exceptional abilities. (Source ..Google).

Hello everyone.
I have been seeking for PhD opportunities in USA, Canada, Switzerland, Australia and Germany all to no avail.

Please, is it possible to be accepted for a second Masters in the USA?

Aside the schooling route, please can anyone here in the USA assist me with employment route?

I honestly want to japa out of Africa and would appreciate any effort
Either Phd or J1 is still your best option in order to quickly become a resident in any of the listed countries but especially the United States. Seeking the admission to no avail means you dont have the qualification or resumè or you are not sending the right application materials.

Yes you can be accepted into second Msc but you must convince the embassy of your genuine reason of wanting to do another Msc and you must also explain what you have being doing with your gap years otherwise your visa wont be granted.

As for employment route pls be careful because its like a teaser except you have an exceptional skills or qualification which is selling or is on high demand in america. Focus on study visa. There is STEM-MBA, Religious School or other professional programs you can opt in.

Good afternoon,

I have a quick question. If I use a professional mentor, someone I have worked with for several years and who holds a senior position in the energy sector, which is closely related to my field of study, as my sponsor, would that be considered strong enough for my application?

Also, is there a recommended format or template for a sponsorship letter that the sponsor should follow?

Thank you.
Yes you can use the professional mentor as your sponsor but your mentor must provide a separate SOP regarding what he or she would benefit from your study.

There is no Universal or mandated or recommended format template for a sponsorship letter. The only rule is that the letter must be a formal letter not to be written like an informal letter that you are writing to your friends or family.

Please I have a friend that want me to help him in Canada School application. He is not financially buoyant sha . But he want school that's affordable for him because he is the one that will sponsor himself. WAEC CERTIFICATE is the Only certificate with him, so his subject in WAEC is mostly Arts subjects only. Now I'm confused on the course I can help him in applying for. He said if i see fall intake 2026 for him or winter 2027 he is okay but let the tuition be affordable and application fee 50-90$ Cad. So. Please if you know any school with DLI and PGWP recommend for me. I suppose apply for him through RRC but the application fee and tuition fee is expensive for him. Please Abeg help me if you know any school. Thanks 🙏
Felicia. Your friend should stop dictating preferences on DLI or PGWP because he is just 19 yr old with only waec certificate in arts not even outstanding in science subjects.

If he is not financially buoyant he can opt for U.S.A towards summer/fall 2027 because U.S institutions are the most flexible , affordable which also gives some entrance scholarships.

If he is adamant for Canada he should drop college idea because he wont smell the visa with his profile . He should go for Bsc/BA courses in any public universities.

Memorial University is one of my picks for him. Be careful of easy and sweet recommendations.

I am in the process of verifying my academic qualification through WES but have a surname miss-match; my correct surname
should be *Eno-Ekhator* as in all my other documents including my passport but the one on all my school documents is *Enoekhator* so I'm about filling in my information in the attached I don't know which to use now. Please can anyone advise. Thank you in anticipation.
Use the one on all your school documents ( even though it is the incorrect one) You re verifying academic cresentials not travel passport. WES will follow and recognise only the names officially written in your academic credentials.

Well, most of his ridiculous policies were reversed by Biden. I don't understand what you mean by being too accessible, you have to apply for a visa AFAIK and you could be approved or rejected, this is a student thread by the way, I am not sure anyone here is trying to move illegally, the latest policies directly affects legal migrants.
In History/Government . France used the policy of assimilation (total intake of colonised countries) while the UK used policy of association (temporary). That is why you see lots of blacks (from ivory coast, cotonou, Togo etc ) doing well in France and getting France visa for those colonies after independence is too easy.

United States being trying to do a new thing against the UK policy also adopted the policy of assimilation but it is now counterproductive because U.S is too big. In the history of United States after the abolition of slave trade they have wanted to welcome every citizens of the world.

To cut the story short, United States is confused because they have assimilated the wrong nations or people. In order word they are not fighting any nation other that how to eliminate the terrorists in totality and any nation that has Islam majority or strong influence will be affected.

Terrorists are hiding under islam while muslim or muslim dominated countries like Nigeria , Saudi Arabia , etc are helpless in fishing out these evil doers. Mind you Islam as a religion is a religion of peace and love.

The USA might be out of reach for a lot of people trying to move legally
No. I disagree. You should have written that : The USA will be out of reach for a lot of people that is trying to move in illegally .

One of my childhood friends was shot dead in Chicago last week friday. He entered the U.S around 2018 or so. Imagine ? Go and watch the crime scene investigation on dstv or pawn shops and you will realised that a lot of subnormal people have entered into america either legally or illegally.

President Trump's current immigration policy is what even Barrack Obama will vote for because every americans does not know how to stop the illegal and legal influx of aliens into the USA.

No incoming or future president of the United States will reverse this policy. It is going to stay in order to accept only the absolutely vetted people into america.

United States ex leaders were too accessible and kind in the assimilation of strangers into their lands and culture but their kindness is now counterproductive.

President Trump is now laying the foundation to correct the anomaly .

Good morning. Thank you all for the help so far.

1. If I have an express entry profile, can I input the UCI number in the study permit form? It is asking for UCI number.
2. In the section asking for any previous application to come to or remain in Canada, if I have had an express entry profile in the past, can I state it there? Please note that I once got an ITA that I didn't proceed with. Or can I just stay silent on it.
3. Then can I use the same GCI account I used for my express entry for study permit?
4. Also, if I apply with kids and they are refused, will the refuse my study permit too?
5. What is the possible timeframe to start application to bring family in after I arrive Canada on study permit? (If I don't travel with them immediately)
1. Yes.

2. State it.

3. No. Open another account for your study visa.

4. No. The reason (s) for refusal of your kids might be different. You may not prove the biological father of the kids beyond doubt, etc.

5. After the successfull completion of the school 1st term.

Honesty is the beginning of your study permit success. They have your profiles.

Hey guys! I’ve been following this page for a long time, and I have a question. I have a BSc in Agriculture, and now I’m interested in studying a vocational program in Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanics.

My concern is how I can combine my agriculture background with heavy duty equipment mechanics. Although my bachelor’s degree is not engineering-related, I have a lot of practical experience in automotive engineering from before my degree, even though it’s not professional or certificate-based.

I’m genuinely interested in this field because I know I perform well in engineering and technical work. I would really appreciate any advice or guidance from people with experience in this area. Please help a brother in need.
Hello. You wont be granted that visa if your current employer is not sending you to go for the vocational program in Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanics while upon graduation you re returning to work and become part of the training officers for the future employees. Or you have a CAC and evidence of the company (heavy duty equipment mechanic training centre) you established but only wanted to go for the training and return to become one of the training managers.

Any positive respond aside this will only give you ginger to proceed with the impending failed study visa application.

Thanks for your input
I’m leaning towards the second option but could only see that the programs on there are offered online.
She’s graduate of polytechnic- HND
Office Technology and Management but she has been teaching secondary school students all these while.
First option is her only option based on her career profile . She can also apply to Coady as a career teacher and mind you not all Coady program is offered online, they have physical programs which you can do in Canada and transfer the credit into an accredited University. I have and i know many people who have gone thru that route. However, their admission application is lenghty, competitive and takes patient.

As for the first option, she can apply into a Uni or college that offers bible/Christian courses in advanced level. The rest is to use wisdom in the visa application. Other than that Msc in STEM is her next option if she can prove reason and financial ability beyond doubt.

I need guidance on this , the possible way to make it work out.
I’m a Canadian PR and I wish to sponsor my sister who’s married with 3 kids for study visa. What’s the best way to go about this to avoid possible refusal.
She’s likely to come with the last child
The family have little to no funds , all expenses on me.
What’s your advice for me. Will appreciate all the responses
Let her apply to religious school which must be on graduate or advance level and the school must be internationally accredited. She also has to profile herself as one of the levites (pastor, evangelist etc).

The 2nd option is to apply to Coady Institute which gives 100% funding but depending on her career history or Phd full funding.

[quote author=TaxLawyer post=139373947]What is Nigeria doing about the Visa Ban? its crazy, Nigerian Government must do something about the Ban. Peoples lives are on ::

If you visit the USA embassy website and click on news you will discover that Nigerian government are working hand in hands with the US govt in all areas.

However, i see the administration of president Trump as Oligarchy cum Aristocracy kind of government which has great fears for their lives and wealth.

In this respect, Nigerian govt cannot rush american into taken a hasty decision in terms of reversing the temporary ban until our government fulfilled all dues as regards to security of lives.

US government are watching nigeria government as they are working on rebranding our reputation by then the ban would be lifted totally. All that you and i as an ordinary citizens could do is prayer and positive mindset.

Good morning everyone. I have applied and gotten a LOA from a Private Uni in Canada. My confusion, however, is that they didn't ask for my WASSCE or any high school result. I also did not submit any letter of intent. They only requested for school transcripts. Although, I have been in communication with the official mail on their website, I am still feeling like the admission process is 'too fast' and I am wondering if my result or letter of intent are just not needed.

I am about to pay my tuition deposit through the link in my LOA (PAYMYTUITION), but I am also trying to be careful.

Are my worries valid or it is just Naija mentality that is messing with me?
Your worry is valid. On a general terms, public research universities are more preferable to private universities and most private universties usually waive normal or laid down compulsory admission criteria for applicants which is why both embassies and employer of labour usualy does not trust them.

By this fact, Canadian high commission expects you to be extremely wealthy if you are applying to private university and this brings lot of doubting pressure in your visa application.

Stop your application and reapply to federal university. It will help you a lot . Nonetheless, there re few private universities which are highly recognized but public universities are still the best especially for foreign applicants.

Colony7:
Every square market day, you people complain about "bad leaders." Last time i checked, it is Nigerian individuals you encounter at government offices, airport staff, or polling unit officials. The average Nigerian can be desperately wicked and mischievous, which is ultimately reflected in the leadership. You all continue to blame the leaders as though they are aliens.

There is a reason why, out of all the Black nations on Earth, none are developed, nor perhaps, ever will be. You continue to play the blame game as if nations like China, India, Singapore, and Korea have not also faced colonization in their history.

Even in 2026, you are still blaming the leadership. Africa, and Nigeria in particular, has a fundamental cultural problem rooted in insincerity, mischief, and moral decadence, which is evidenced by the series of fraud and criminal cases in the West.

Thankfully, only a few members of the Black race fall outside of this shameful cultural circle. Unfortunately, because it is difficult to initially distinguish between individuals, the downfall of Western society is being accelerated by the influx of our people and those from similar cultural backgrounds in the Middle East, such as Syria, Afghanistan, and Iraq. This is evidenced by the fact that almost every slum and ghetto is populated by these demographics, a truth we refuse to tell ourselves.

So please, stop the blame game and start realizing that the Black race, as a whole, simply cannot run a society. Oh, and do not worry about my children as they are not from around here. It reveals a lot about your character that you would bring children into this discussion which only solidifies my point about culture.
Barack Obama , Kwame Nkrumah , Ajayi Crowther, etc are all from the Black race. Go and look up the black race genus because achievement is not limited to politics.

If we agree with your point that all nigerians started their problem so what are the leaders looking at ? Why are there police stations , court of laws , etc ?

If your children are not from africa i would rather you stop carrying the bitterness of nigeria in your head. Face the country you come from.

The summary of your write up over there is negativity and lost of personal hope or ego or over hype of the western world.

Hello Great People,
@justwise

Please, I need clarification on choice of response to give on the study permit application form section relating to my dependant Child that is accompanying me to Canada.

1. The question in the Study Permit asked "Why is your family member visiting Canada?"

The Options are:
A. Visit - Tourism
B. Visit - All other types
C. Less than 6 months studies
D. Study more than 6 months
E. Work in work permit exempted category
F. Work (Labour Market Impact Assessment Required)
G. Work with an Open Work Permit
H. Transit

2. If I pick that the purpose is D. Study more than 6months for my child, they are asking for PAL/TAL and Acceptance Letter. I am the one going for Master's Programme. Of course, a child needs to attend school while with me over there. Can I claim exception for the child and with what?

I will appreciate your guidance on how this is handled on family applications.

Thank you.
Your pick should be Visit : All other types. You may then explain the kind of visit as an accompanying children. The children have the option to stay behind if their study and livelihood is easier to juggle with your study or return back home to your spouse or other family member pending the time you finish your graduate study.
