No be small thing o.
An average Nigerian kids rarely drink milk. So sad. Na just to eat carbohydrate foods It's getting worse. I grew up seeing a carton of tin peak milk , tin Milo/Bournvita in an average household but these days, naija kids are presented with sachets which is not even affordable 1 Like 1 Share |

They were migrating under the disguise of a vacation, holidaying in that cold weather that many are keeping indoors and are the children not supposed to be attending school in Nigeria as 1st term is still on?
Make dem pay hospital bills and prepare to head back to Nigeria. So why was the visa approved? The immigration officer have no business stopping them for that filmsy excuse. Vacation can be taken even in winter, there are indoor events going on now. All schools don't use the same calendar |

Travel / Re: Categories Of Nigerians Who Shouldn't JAPA Abroad (especially UK) by phemmyfour: 7:36pm On Nov 09, 2023 |
gforce5: I noticed a thread on"10 sets of People Who Shouldn't Travel To The UK". I found it interesting and decided to create my own version. I am an immigration lawyer who just came back from an IBA (International Bar Association) Conference. As a member of the immigration committee, we discuss immigration issues. Immigration is as old as time and inevitable. I don't have issues with Nigerians emigrating for "greener pastures" after all, I did the same thing as a teenager thanks to my folks and encourage many others to do so. What I do have a problem with are the categories of people emigrating abroad to start all over. The list is as follows:
1. Big earners/those who are at the top of their career: It doesn't make sense for someone who earns millions a month to abandon that in the name of JAPA. The chances that you will earn the equivalent to what you are earning in Nigeria is slim. You have to start all over again as no country is going to hire you over their own nationals.
2. People approaching 50 and above. I was insulted some time ago whenI stated that if you must Japa abroad, you should do it when you are young. While there are quite a few over 40s who have been able to re-establish themselves, there many more who have struggled to get back on their feet. The job market is a young person's market.
3. Politicians. These category of people make too much money to desire to move to another country. The system in Nigeria was designed to cater to their very whelms.
4. Small scale/large scale business men. If you have a thriving business, it doesn't make sense abandoning your business just to start over in another country. Don't get me wrong, there are many countries are looking for business men to invest in their economy. In the UK, they fall under the category of investor visas.
If you are a Senior Lawyer, Bank Manager, Senior Surgeon, Senior Chartered Accountant, you are most likely at the peak of your profession in Nigeria and very likely earning a decent amount of money that places you in the elite. It makes no sense for these category of people to emigrate and start all over again.
There you have it. Everybody else has the right to leave the country as it's not working but it doesn't make sense for the above-mentioned class of people to JAPA abroad (at least, outside Africa) as they have a lot to lose. You are wrong with no 2. Age doesn't matter to them in abroad when it comes to job opportunities 2 Likes |

Mohbad has the money so he can afford hospital bills. Going to chemist or pharmacy stores is a high risk. For me I would rather go to the hospital than those guess work treatment. There are soqny private hospitals around my friend. You think it's about money? It's about our level of education and exposure. Besides, most of these artiste are semi illiterate that would rather patronise quacks than visit the nearest hospital |

Ok if you say so but I think you do your DNA through physical resemblance. As long as the son belongs to Mohbad I ha e no issue . What baffles me is that when Mohbad was sick, why didn't the wife take him to the hospital I. The fiest place instead of calling a nurse to come and be treating him at home? That's Terri Le you know How many people do visit hospital when they are sick? You all prefer to visit chemist/pharmacist |

Family / Re: How Can I Deal With A Quarrelsome Wife by phemmyfour: 7:29pm On Nov 07, 2023 |
nairalanduser23: I am tired of my wife's quarrelsome behaviour which I think she reserves for me. I can be having a honest conversation with her and out of nowhere it will lead to a quarrel with her. It surprises me.
Strange enough, I have observed her communication with neighbours, work colleagues and she knows how to compose herself but when it is me even a funny comment can upset her. Even when I tell her I didn't mean her negative interpretation of a comment, she will still insist on her negative interpretation.
She sometimes talks to me in a way that seems unfriendly to the point that I desire her talking to me the way she talks to outsiders. I have talked to her about it but it is not helping matters. She acts like she is not ware of her tone but there is a stark difference between how she talks to me and other people.
I earn far more than her and take care of the house bills so money is not an issue. I feel like I am the only one proactive about peace in the marriage while she is care-free.
How can I deal with this? That's what happens when you force a woman into marriage. She is enduring the marriage 1 Like 1 Share |

havecycle: Inability to drive has deprived me opportunity from getting a job and as I don't have money to pay and be trained by a driving school, I decided to use online resources to learn it.
Steps:
Put the car on neutral before turning it on or press the clutch pedal if it's on gear.
Start the car
Press the accelerator pedal and release your foot from the clutch pedal slowly and the car is on motion.
Press the clutch pedal again to change gear.
Press the break pedal alongside the clutch pedal to slow down and bring the car to a stop.
And so on.
With these, I pray I'm good as I am about to pick up a driving job.
Pray for me and other road users.
I can't stay jobless anymore especially with penniless pocket.
God help me. You will be fine. Pick Sundays to test drive. Roads are always free on Sundays. Learn automatic, it's easier for self taught than manual |
