Analysing their gambling process, the ups and downs, so that you can find what might motivate him to want to stop
Encouraging periods of not gambling with positive motivations.
Using positive communication ( to avoid destructive arguments which can be common )
Providing social and recreational activities
Have counselling for you both to help improve this communication.
This is only a really tiny snapshot of some of the activities you can engage in to help him and yourself but there are a lot of resources out there and a lot more to do than ‘just say no’.
