Yes, it is very possible.
Admission doesn't guarantee you'll get the scholarship.
Thank you for your response. But based on your response, I even have more questions to ask. From what I have seen through previous chats, the MCF decisions for McGill usually come out in early April (correct me if I am wrong). However, in my acceptance letter into the program (I received it two weeks ago), my department wants me to confirm enrollment and possibly pay their enrollment deposit by 29th March. I am, therefore, a little confused how I can send in the deposit while I am yet to confirm whether MCF will take me in or not... and I know for sure, I can NEVER afford McGill without some sort of financial assistance.

Quick question: is it possible to receive admission to McGill/UBC and then don’t get the MCF scholarship? When you clearly applied to both of them, coherently?

So I am a little confused with the whole fee waiver issue for MasterCard scholarship applicants at UBC.

From what it seems, as I’ve seen this issue happening to other applicants too, the application fee wasn’t waived via the link they shared with me. And I just found out about this today. Considering their MCF office takes a hot minute to respond, and it’s now holiday season, I feel compelled to pay the application fee so as my references can have ample time to submit their part(s).

I’m just wondering whether paying the application fee would in one way or another put a red flag to my application considering this scholarship is oriented towards the economically disadvantaged — of which I am. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I have a quick question for the UBC Graduate applicants for the MasterCard scholarship: has any of you who submitted the eligibility form hear back regarding your admissibility?

Hi,

I’m glad to have finally stumbled upon this forum! It’s been a minute since McGill told me to wait on my nomination status. I sure as hell hope this to be the WEEK I have been longing for (I was told to wait till late November). However, for those who have received nominations in other departments, would you mind sharing your academic credentials?
