sharwama: Like Chinua Achebe, I am no longer at ease. I think I am sort off concerned about bracelum's silence. Yeah I kinda miss his STFU comments Okay I'm done messing around. Why does it seem like he has become "Nobody"? Why does it seem like he has deactivated his account? Bracelum if you are Nobody or a guest and you are reading this, I just want you to know that you have contributed a lot to this platform, you have given invaluable counsels and you have sparked intellectual debates a lot of times. You are neither perfect nor flawless but you are lightning and I think lightning is dangerously beautiful Perhaps you needed space or you needed a break, perhaps you have a lot on your plate, perhaps these are rough times for you. That's okay, I am sending love and light to you right now, I hope you are safe wherever you are and I pray you always remember, no matter what happens; for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, we are family I pray Nobody sees beneath these words. this lady is a good wife material...Take note single men. Pepperoni001: I do not agree with your submission sir... They are the same thing I have answered this already. But let me add this. it depends on the curriculum. For instance, Food Technology offers food engineering courses in addition to several food science courses. But some food science program do not offer food engineering courses. Is this clear? |

Predstan: Some schools with full GA do not require bank statement to obtain I-20 even with deficits yes, You are right! like AAMU. |
Travel › Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by Philtos: 1:13pm On Jun 14, 2019 |
fairheart: If you have another school you are expecting funding from and you're willing to wait, you can pay your SEVIS fee on the AAMU i-20 now as it will be increased to $350 from June 24. So, when you get the i-20 with funding, you can transfer the SEVIS. You can also pay your visa fee, but if you'll be going to the embassy with the funded i-20, you may have to wait until you have the i-20 in hand, at least to be safe. (except you have all the details from the school you will need to schedule an appointment).
As for you recent B1/B2 refusal, well, it is very hard to predict what will happen when next you appear at the embassy for the F1 visa. But something tells me that should you not meet a consular that is understanding or you are unable to articulate yourself, career objectives, etc during the interview, the consular that'll interview you may make decision based in remark left in the system from the previous VO.
As for the last question, you're still going for a degree that is a twin of what you studied before. I like to advice people to make their own decision using available information and personal objective. Now, let's assume I am a consular, and I asked: Why are do you want to study this course? Why do you want to study food science when you already have an MS in food technology?. Seriously, why did you choose food science when you know you just completed an MS in food technology? I am sure you had your reasons, which I'd like you to share. It's your reason I'd like to see and assess--if it's worth it. For Lagos consulate, you will see date from July 12 to ending of the month. All the dates in August are open. Good morning. I appreciate you for your kind assistance. Thank you. Alright, I chose Food Science in AAMU because the school offers five Concentrations that i can pick from. but Food product development which covers my three most important passion - Food security, food safety and product development and acceptability is what I chose. i am excited about picking a research in Flavor technology and this concentration offers me that opportunity.(I hope this works). Food technology and Food Science are like a twin indeed but the major difference is simply in the difference between technology and science. specifically, Food Technology entails courses like Food engineering; heat and mass transfer, material balance, process control etc. on the other hand, Food Science include courses like but not limited to Food Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry. need i say that i had a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering. Secondly, the second admission is MS in Chemistry. I chose that because I want to pursue a PhD in Food Science and Flavor Chemistry and honing my skills in analytical Chemistry and Organic Chemistry is crucial. Thank you. |

Hi Family.
I have an I-20 from AAMU with no funding,(usually they don't give scholarship to international student except Graduate assistanship, and this, you can only get after you have secured your admission by proving that you have the funds to pay for one academic year) however I am expecting an admission from another School (BSU) with better funding opportunities but the school said it may take couple of weeks or more to get a decision. 1. Should i go ahead and pay my servis fee? 2. would it be possible to use a new I-20 after you pay visa fees?and how can I do that when I eventually get the desired admission? 3. I had applied for renewal of my Visa B1/B2 last year via drop box (2nd time using drop box) but i was asked to come for an Interview but i was denied(i think its because i just graduated from MSc here in Nija and i had no job yet). Would this affect my chances of getting a student Visa? 4. How can I defend why i am doing another MS in Food Science when i had just completed MSc degree in food technology in Nigeria?would this raise any question? 5. When is the earliest appointment date in Lagos and Abuja?
I need answers please.
Thank you. |

Wretch32: Guys I know y’all conveniently avoided my question here because I said I needed quick assistance, fair enough I don’t own any of you hence why I was ignored But at least the 2nd part of my request could be answered which is regarding the bank statement to be presented Original shipped in from USA or a printout of a scanned original which can easily be confirmed by the consulate even if you own anyone of us... do you think you will still get a reply.... i think no one saw your post. if someone saw it and had answers, they would have surely answered you i promise. they are good people here trust me on this. Nevertheless i am sorry, i don't have correct answers to your question. |

nelem: Visa Interview
Me: Good morning VO: good morning VO: why are you going to the US? Me: I am going for my master’s degree in computer science & quantitative method at Austin Peay State University (APSU) Clarksville, Tennessee VO: how did you hear about this course? Me: I did an extensive search online using msinus, usnews offering computer science and I also streamlined my search with reference to universities offering predictive analytics & also from time to time I attend some SAP-organized webinars where the speakers talk about how companies are maximizing the use of predictive analytics to enhance their business objectives. VO: what other schools did you apply? Me: I named the remaining 4 universities and I got admitted to all. (Wright State Uni, Georgia Southern Uni, Uni of New Haven, Middle Tennessee State Uni) VO: why did you choose APSU? Me: I chose APSU because it offers extensive courses that synchronize field studies in computer science with research analysis which will give me the needed technical expertise to be able to effectively implement the SAP predictive analytics tool and I also got a graduate assistantship that gave me a full tuition and some stipends. VO: who is sponsoring you? Me: my uncle VO: pass his account statement. She flips through page by page. VO: I will be approving your visa. Gives me a white paper showing pickup modalities…
Thanks everyone Good afternoon. please do i have to take along a letter given for GA? what if i don't have a letter yet but i am sure that i will get it, because it was stated on their program website that i would be given full tuition waiver and stipends. do i have to request a letter from the school? |

Expired* Not expires. Philtos: Good evening everyone. Thanks for all your contributions. I have been to the USA twice now before my visa expires, I renewed via drop box and I was given another two years... But due to work and my studies, I have not been able to travel with my current visa. It will be expiring in April 2018, but I just conceived and I have the intention of going to the USA to have my first child. I intend to go before April so that I could spend some time before my delivery. However, my visa will expire before my due date... Questions 1. How do I go about this? 2. Is visiting visa different from birth visa? 3. Do I renew before April? 4. How do I go about the renewal?.
Thanks so much in anticipation of your response Expired* not expires |

Hello there! why do you have say such a thing, I wonder if you graduated, such statement on a public page isn't appropriate and it spoils the tranquility we enjoy on this forum. I am of the opinion that @Toyeengreat deserves an apology from you... I wonder if your ego and pride will permit you to say sorry for that resentful statement. Don't worry, i will apologize on your behalf. On behalf of Egocentric and proud rarry, i apologise to @Toyeengreat (pardon me if I got that wrong) for the resentful statement rarry made on the MSc course, which, i believe, has great value to humanity. rarry: that one self na msc course?.. wonders never cease |
