BET always using more sentiments that facts. At a time where kendrick Lamar is obviously the best rapper, featuring on several shows performing his untitled, they give best hiphop to Drake. Jeez BET. I guess that's why they are not taken seriously. Straight out of Compton to Beast of no nation? Habba. Taraj P henson best actress? Habba and many more...BET is just too "Black" sorry to say.
Papilolo007: Good morning Nairalanders, I intend getting a car next month and the 2 cars on my list are toyota corolla 2005 model or camry big daddy/ big for nothing. 2005 both v4 engines. I having decision issues on which i should go for and why i should go for any of them. Please kindly assist with detailed info. Thanks.
Its actually a matter of choice however both have their issues. Why some of these guys are discouraging you from the camry is because the camry 2.4 litre engine usually has an engine bolt issue sometime over 100,000km and to fix takes some work or better still some people just change the engine. The bolt causes engine leakage into the gasket and after a while, the engine knocks. But this doesn't happen with the V6 luckily and so If you want to go for the camry go for the v6. If not go for your corolla. But to help you even more, google both cars, their name, year and problems. You will see the types of issues they have on separate car forums. hope this helps.
Perhaps it might be the column. I experienced it with my hyundai accent 2012 but been using it like that. However you can get the parts at ladipo. There are kia and hyundai dealers there.
Ademusiwa1: Africa politician should have gone to place advertisement in Britain media that Britain can't leave .
.I Will be communicating this clearly to the queen of Britain and the prime minister of Britain ,why there is a need for revote, because this lives 5 millions African jobless.
It is a big bow to Africa economy
Many of the politician are clueless.
I will do my best to convince the Queen of Britain why a rethink.
We have a clueless young politician in Africa who don't know the implications of this move by Britain to their economy.
You can obviously see from the internet Africa politician are incomplete to leadership . I was basically helpless during the vote because they are the one who controls the money and i will blame the cbn too for not been on the street of Britain on his hand and feet. Because of its economy implications to Nigeria.
It is sad day for Africa and it's economy
The issue is now how do we make Britain reconsider this vote. It is obvious this politician have low grey matter to understand international politics.
I can't believe my eyes that they are all bulk of clueless human
This issues are enough to occupy Nigeria. It's not only when fuel rises that we should rally and protest. This is more than a reason for protest and the international world will sound it aloud. Again sorry for your loss man. It's a sad one indeed.
twoondei: sorry about your loss. A few things I'd like to point out. LASUTH is probably one of the most efficient government hospitals around if you know your way around. probably the only teaching hospital in Nigeria where power hasn't gone off in about four years. The very worst cases in Lagos end up in LASUTH, you were referred from ikorodu, there are 25 other general hospitals, with about a thousand private hospitals in Lagos that refer when they can no longer manage these cases. It is unarguably the busiest too. Check data on Google. Down to your suggestions 1. The nurses and doctors you see in that compound value lives so much but there's only so much they can do. The medical emergency has three to four nurses on every shift with at least 45 critically ill patients. They MUST write reports on whatever they do and the state of their patients on every shift so when litigation comes, like this one might head, something shows your hard work.
2. There is indeed a quality assurance unit in that hospital, there's even a "complain to me" unit that make sure you get prompt services when due. The ambulance problem should have been relayed to them. That's one of the things they help out with. LASUTH has more than five functional ambulances and I also know some diagnostic centres bring their vans inside. The doctor who asked for a CT from a particular place has his reasons; MECURE probably has the best machine and gives the clearest view around LASUTH.
3. on investigation of deaths in the hospital; Lagos government passed a law mandating hospitals to carry out autopsies on "coroner's cases". Simply put, anyone who's cause of death hasn't been medically established before death should be autopsied, this also includes any patient who dies within 24hours of admission in LASUTH. I know this rule is still in place but again, people get waivers from all sorts of places fir religious reasons and this has been a major cog in the wheels of this rule. Deaths are discussed at departmental levels every week and doctors are scolded when found culpable. You can ask any LASUTH doctor you know.
4. A lot of policies should indeed be reviewed. More professionals need to be employed, a good number of times, doctors and nurses have collapsed on duty. Theres presently a restriction on employment at most levels of government now, so you see a doctor do a 36hr shift twice a week. Meanwhile, he has family members at home.
5. Monitoring has been addressed.
6. Interdepartmental collaboration does exist but the communication channels are not as effective. You have to drop a consult, or call the registrar over the phone who probably is in the theatre or attending to another surgical patient. There's no one assigned to see consults in particular.
7. Oversight functions: I also know that there's a health facility monitoring agency in Lagos and I know the chairman house committee on health, Hon. Olulade visits LASUTH from time to time without prior notification.
Overall, the goal is to make things work in Lagos. Again, sorry about your loss. May God give you the fortitude to bear the loss.
And yes, I support your cause. #valuenigerians
U sound like a worker in that's hospital. I won't be surprised if u r. The truth is that Nigerians can be wicked. And just as what corruption has made people think of just themselves and their families, it's the same in many other institutions in the country. I'm really sorry for your loss. Man

nylawal: Toyota Production System (TPS) is a management model adopted for teaching management students in advanced countries, and the reason being that they are very meticulous in their manufacturing process. Therefore, the comparison between Toyota and Honda in terms of performance is miles apart. Toyota doesn't hesitate to recall a faulty product from the market; for instance they recalled Toyota camry 2008 (muscle) from the market when there were complaints of cruise control error (the only instance of recall; and was even discovered to be a footmat causing the problem). So when going for reliability; Toyota is the car. I stand to be corrected!
Oga Toyota!! everyone has preference for cars but please before you make it law like you have driven all the cars in the world, please go online and check reviews of some toyota cars and reliability and see for yourself. Some people in other countries complain that toyota reliability isn't as good anymore. I'm not trying to say they don't make good cars but they have their issues too. I never knew that toyota corolla 03 down to 07 though had some issues i have never heard about. Some people complained of having accidents with them because they had issues of car jumping off when they try to hit the brakes while driving. Though it was more in 03 models and less in 04 down. But this problem was there. But hey, i know you have never heard of it. Just google and see. Never assume. Toyota is a very good brand most def, but like all manufacturers, they have their own issues too.
peterjero: i dont agree with you because it doesnt happen to toyota cars so why only honda and again toyota is very popular which make chinese part very popular too so why dont we get d same issues with then. honda front tyres keep pulling off you see them on d highway, i guess its only the Pilot that isnt affected
Oga!! ignorance isn't a good thing. Don't say it doesn't happen to toyota cars because it does. 199-2001 Forerunner i have seen this with my eyes more than three times. I heard even some of other Toyota trucks have this issue because their ball joint is inverted or stuff like that. So dude, its just precaution. Its bad road and I believe flood could also be an issue. I think maintenance is the key and changing your ball joints before and after the raining season or every year is the key. A fmr colleague of mine changed his every 6months and has never experienced the issue not once in his life.
ophilly: Stop insulting Toyota! Comparing EOD with Big Daddy is an insult to Big Daddy. Toyota is better in all depts i.e class, comfort, refinement, durability and even more. They have never been at par, Camry has always been costlier.
Oga stop generalizing. Both car brands are good. One isnt better than the other in all. They all have their good and bad.
Truth is that's these fulani herdsmen are behaving like boko haram. Perhaps might it be another means bokoharam has devised to kill the innocent? Because with this so care herdsmen they can enter any land in the country in the name of grazing but they cannot dressed or identified as bokoharam. This guys should be silenced quickly.
Shehucom: What happened to Ese Oruru is something that happens every other time in cities and villages of south south, young girls of secondary school age moving into men's house without their parents' consent. They don't tell them they are too young. The only thing they tell them is: "you can go to anywhere you want but no bring belle come my house" (lolz). If Ese Oruru was to be 'abducted' by one peter or James and taken for honeymoon in sambisa forest, we won't get public outrage. All you'll hear is, 'that is the power of love' and it only ends as another tale of two lovers who fell in love and nollywood will be there to release part one to five. And activists will be there to bark 'its her choice'. While we expect that she is returned to her parents soon, i hope our human rights activists will also be there to protect her choice and rights of being a muslim while she is in Bayelsa. I hope they will also voice for her when she is 18 and expresses her interest to return to her 'husband' in kano. @activists: always maintain balance in your quest for justice and fairness to all. @activists : stand up against evils happening within your immediate community and not always waiting to bark when 'outsiders' commit those evils against 'your own'. Charity begins at home. @journalists : be balanced in your reports and stop the hypocrisy ;even when you heard the audio recording of the girl, you kept reporting that she was kidnapped, abducted, forcefully converted and forcefully married off @general public : learn to be a JUDGE, every good judge will always listen to BOTH parties before taking a stance.
I know the biased and sentimental mind would abuse and quote me. You can bash me all you want but I just spoke my mind... Iree o
Yes. You did speak your mind but you also validated the accusation of northern Muslims trying to get as many Christian girls pregnant so that they have Muslim children. The thought is madness. How come Yoruba Muslims never behave like this but it's the Hausa Muslims that are extremists. It shows there must be a problem in the north with values. I want to hope this isn't true but if it is it will surely fail.
