PRUNING DOWN TO MANAGEABLE NUMBER: BOT's BOARDROOM of WISDOM

Mindful of the historic and frontline role of southwest in sustenance and survival of peo ples Democratic Party PDP since 1998, the South West members of the Board of Trustees of the Party have ostensibly emerged from the Boardroom of wisdom in their proactive decision to shortlist Southwest contestants eyeing the office of the National Chairmanship of the party, prunning the list down from eight to three.
It's therefore remarkable that living to its sacred role as the Conscience of the Party and desirous of its duty to ensuring high standard for the party, Political analysts have come to agree with the BOT's activism which fulcrums on a ten- point meritorious viewpoint of positivism.
And hence our standpoint that one, It is a very wise decision stemming from foresightedness as anything less than that could have portrayed the grey headed members as living an age without a name.
TWO: It is appropriately an application of commonsense in the right direction, even at a time like this.
THREE:The decision is a deep reflection of painstaking research which must have been subjected to credible statistical details especially as regards to the fact that the Southwest zone has never for once occupied the position
FOUR:It is one thing to sense danger but it is quite another thing to rise nip it in the bud or oppose it. Hence the proactive move by the BOT is
courageous and timely if the Southwest is not to go on a disgraceful lane of approaching the National Convention of the Party as divided house.
FIVE:The decision indeed is elder statesmanship, devoid of partisanship and favouritism.
SIX: The ten foolproof scientific measuring standard by which BOT Recommendations were arrived at is in conformity with the popular wishes of the People.
SEVEN: The BOT actually went extra miles in doing the job of a Perfectionist by applying the alphabetical order in the methodology of even providing the minutest details about the contestants.
EIGHT:Bent on leaving no room for suspicion ,the BOT demonstrates the virtue of an umpire who sees beyond the immediate in his verdict as the Board shows respect for the constitutional rights of both the recommended contestants and those that are not recommended.
NINE: The BOT is equally largehearted in providing soft landing for the non recommended.
TEN:This is the right time indeed for intervention in the social construction of Reality such as situation demands in the Southwest PDP and to fail to abide by this wise Boardroom decision is to give-in to political hysteria; a disease of a behaviour which is in excess of the real situation.
Need therefore at this juncture to end this pabulum with the Golden words of Winston Churchill :"In war there must be resolution;_In defeat there should be defiance; In victory there should be magnanimity and in Peace, Freewill.
We of the Advocate therefore urge that this demonstration of freewill by the Southwest BOT be embraced by all and sundry for the Progress of the Party PDP and as this is really historic, History stands to absolve the Board for its intervention from the Boardroom of WISDOM.
