abiolag: When I press vol up+home+powerbutton it won't boot into recovery mode. D samsung galaxy grand logo will display and display again for lyk 3 to 4 tyms before d phone will load normal

dats weird try to flash stock recovery..I think ur stock recovery is missing..

abiolag: Like what bro? I updated to 4.2.2 thru odin and I also rooted d phone successfully but after d OTA software update I begin having some issues and I can't root d device again. I've followed almost everything I've seen on d net but if there is any oda help u can render I will appreciate.
D device is not booting to recovery mode though binary and system is showing custom when in download mode

u sure say u download d right cmw?u mean d fone only boots into stock recovery?

first make sure u have samsung usb drivers or samsung kies installed on ur pc
Watch dis video n download d required files frm dere m.youtube.com/watch?v=4fAMqNwlSZk download d rootfile,superuser,rootfile fix frm dat youtube link make sure u enable usb debugging in developer ooption on ur grand
Boot ur grand into download mode press voldown+home+powerbutton once u r in download mode open odin click on pda locate d cmw u downloaded d file should be in .md5 format click on it n make sure f reset is checked in odin n uncheck auto reboot click on start
Once odin show pass remove ur usb cable frm grand open ur battery n wait for 5secs then insert ur battery..boot into cmw recovery by pressing volup+home+power button once u r in cmw recover y click on install zip frm sd card n locate fix recovery click on install once u r done remove ur battery again n boot into recovery mode again den click on install zip frm sd card den locate superuser and install d superuser update once its done remove ur battery again n insert it back powerup ur fone normally dats it u r rooted

Am rooted again on 4.2.2

abiolag: I did 1 thru odin which changed my OS to 4.2.2(I can't remember d site I downloaded it from) I will check when I get to office 2mrw but d file is close to 1gb in size


Will I b able to root after dat because I want to get those xperia z files u uploaded.

when I was on 4.1.2

abiolag: So after d factory reset and d update how did u root d device again cos dats where am avin issues. Ever since d factory reset and d update, I can't root d device again and av tried all d suggested methods. I always get pass msg from odin but when I try to boot to recovery mode and install zip files from sdcard it will show some errors lyk signature verification failed. It's lyk am giving up

yea I knw when I flash 4.2.2 via odin some of my previous app where still dere n when I click check for updates d msg I got was d latest update have already been installed so I did a factory reset cos my fone wasnt running smoothly n once d factory reset was completed I tried checking for software update n I got d 10mb stability update n d 64mb update

backup up ur apps,contact and pocs den do factory reset...same tin happened to me when I upgraded to 4.2.2

no issue with d battery. ..d performance on 4.2.2 is beta dan 4.1.2. ..videocalling with skype works perfectly well

haibe: @physise I reflashed the 4.2.2 stock rom in order to be unrooted. Now I am unrooted but the software updates says updates have already been installed.

how did you get your own stability update?
