Background A few years ago, the College floated a similar programme and admitted students ets to first prepare for UTME and then admitted them to NCE programmes of the College. Many of the students who were offered admission could not take them up because they had deficiencies in their O/Level results. They entered agreements with the school to do some extra studying to remediate the deficiencies and then all went well. Years down the line, here are some of the results of that decision. 1. Many of the students went on to pass their subjects and continued to study in the College. They have all graduated now and some are in their final years in universities they entered by Direct Entry using NCE results obtained in the College. 2. Many completed their NCE and are now working with the certificate while pursuing further certification on part time basis. 3. Many passed the UTME and left for other schools to study what they always wanted. 4. A few did not complete the project with us, some for reasons we know (finances, poor attitude to work, or change of priorities) and some for undisclosed reasons One shocking realization was that some completed NCE and went home to find peers they left behind still battling with JAMB. The one who was unwise to have gone to a College of Education now had a professional certificate and was eligible for Direct Entry |

Tai Solarin College of Education also offers degree courses in affiliation with Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye. This is strictly for students who wrote the UTME and obtained a minimum of 180 marks. Admission is still on. TASCE also runs part time study centres for NCE courses. They are spread over Ogun and Lagos States. They offer the same courses as are available at the main campus and are perfectly suitable for working people who wish to improve themselves To visit the school, from wherever your location, take Ijebu Ode and alight at Lagos Garage.
