Seconded. Further to that can't a way be designed by the moderators where those dealers who engage in the preorder option of sales have their details lodged with the moderators?
By this I mean details of residential /business contacts , possibly bankers and the likes and off course pictures!
This has come up as suggestions time after time but has never been implemented. Though I like the NL court what stops a dealer after defrauding someone from changing user names and voila its business as usual ? Afterall I have dealt with dealers here who have series of user names!
I think the main aim here is to protect the buyers funds and reduce the incidence of JByisms

This car sells for bout 1.5M even here on NL, so its really funny when a middle man dealer passes out warnings on negotiations as if his is the only fish in the see ! Ol' boy tell the owner to get real !

What about a case where the buyer and dealer have reached an agreement only for the seller to change the price after receiving a tidy deposit? Isnt that fraudulent and akin to obtaining funds under false pretense ?

Another thing some dealers do is round tripping whereby they take your deposit , and use it to buy someone else's car only to start posting you to no avail. All the while praying for another person to fall "Mugu" and pay for the arrival of your car! It works well when you have a high volume of clients but when its a trickle pandemonium

Saw this post of Stevenco and was laughing my backside off. It was simply too ridiculous to fathom. And there are more like this all over NairaLanders. Dealers who bargain with themselves , say a car is sold only to re post it under a different at a different price, posting one pix as that of another,intentionally posting blurry unclear pix with the sole intention to deceive, hiding of VIN for Toks cars , defects on naija used, preoreder scams. Do feel free to contribute to the topic , cause at one time or another you might have run into a shytie dealer.

The car is actually a 2001 model.
Looks clean interior wise , why dont you wash the exterior to match? It lets us deduce if the body is as clean without physically calling.
Wish you quick sales though.
