Is it not within his constitutional right to contest, why the attack? Let him contest, the governor should support who ever he chooses , and allow Shuaibu to also throw his weight in the ring, if he loses no problem. But telling him he doesn't have the right to contest is the height of tyranny and low self-esteem

Who cares if they are dying. They helped them snatched ballot boxes, and intimidate voters. Now the little 100k they gave them as stipends for snatching ballot boxes and writing results like we saw them do is finished. They were even thumb printing ballot papers for a particular party .

Who cares if they and their household die of hunger and hardship.

This is not limited to Garbon only. That is how African leaders and their families are. They stockpile billions at home while the masses suffer penury.

During the last election, we saw how CBN changed the naira design inorder to curb things like this. Infact we were told that governors stockpiled billions in government houses, and even in private residencies. They fought CBN both with court , and media . That is why they fighting Emefiele till today, not because of anything, but because of that policy of trying to stripe them of their loots.

Just like your previous dribble, you are posting nonsense. I mentioned Ibo because I went through your posts. You people have a penchant for always wanting things your way and bringing down the house if you don’t get it. It must be said. Every time the Ibos are not in concert with the Centre they bring or attempt to bring the house down. It’s also what you do anywhere you reside.

The coups going on in French speaking Africa are a fight for true independence. If you are knowledgeable you will know that French speaking West Africa are independent only on paper. It is not the same as the goings on in NIgeria or Ghana or other Anglophone countries.

Your issue isn’t governance but your ego and penchant to always win and dominate others. It is a trait that makes is difficult for you to accept defeat no matter how fair the contest. It is the trait that makes you successful in business but also the same trait that means you don’t mix well with others and so there is always conflict when enough of you accumulate in an area. Human relations is different from business. In business you can bully your competition and wipe them out. In human relations you can’t always win, human relations is about compromise….a trait severely lacking amongst the majority of your people which is why you never do well in politics outside your region. I am at least glad to see people like Umahi who truly understand politics is about compromise and trust.

Disappearing under the military is different from disappear under a civil government, at least in a civilian govt your people can make noise and raise alarm.

Finally it is not tribal mantra, it is a real thing. Why are you always the ones in conflict with everyone else?
Now I know you are such a nuisance in the Internet space. How you swerved the argument and bringing Igbo into my post shows your level of illiteracy and , hatred towards a particular tribe that has nothing to do with the issue on ground. Coup happened in other countries and you highlight the causes , they shout Igbo. Election came , a lagosian came for campaign, they shouted igbos want to take over Nigeria.

Listen you re.tard. firstly, I am not from South East , and no where in my post depicted any tribe. But because the guilty are always afraid , when you point justice, they think you are coming after them.

Whatever issue you have with igbos, maybe they collected your wife, your job, and beat you to your game, I do not know that and not interested. But please grow up, and cure yourself of illiteracy and discuss issues intelligently without looking for ethnic colouration into it even when no reason for such. oponu

My friend I was around during Gowon era when we sang “to keep Nigeria one” in school so I have witnessed every military govt in Nigeria.

You are clearly unintelligent enough to understand the difference between military and development and the military and civil liberties.

My post (if you have any intelligence) was about civil liberties in a military era.

Military govts are better for economic development in a multiethnic diverse environment because precisely because they can violate your rights and civil
Liberties and do what is needed to get the job done. The problem is eventually the nature of the African beast always come up and they become intoxicated with power. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. In the end they become as corrupt as the civilians without any checks and balances except another coup and the citizens have few in any civil liberties.

I have a friend who was picked up under Abacha for about 5 months, till today no one really knows what happened. I guess he was so scared to relate his experience.

So feel free to go on with your nonsense glorifying the military. We know at heart you Ibos are not democrats. Others know every democratic cicvilian government no matter how bad has a fixed term.
You were trying to sound sane until you mentioned ibos. The usual tribal mantra they churn out once they lose ground In any constructive argument.

You are not honest, if you actually lived under any military regime like you posited then you lied to yourself. I gave you a vivid reply as regard human liberty under military compared civilian regimes by pointing you ibb must go protest compared to endsars and the outcome of both. But maybe you lack comprehension and couldn't decipher it

You talked about just your friend. Go and read tales of woes by people who their loved ones were picked up by police and till today no one knows what happened to them. Did you read the reports of various incidents of police brutality and evil meted out to people during the panel setup by various states of which no justice to so many of them till date. Such evil never happened under military government. Or is it the case of executive disobedience to court orders you want to talk about under civilian governments? Even Abacha obeyed some court orders during his time, but no, the so-called civilian governments disobey court orders more than militaries. If you truly lived under any military government but still continue with this your assertions, it means you are living in self deceit. And you never answered my question about what the civilians built after I listed you few of many infrastructures built by military juntas. Reason being that, you really have nothing to point but just decided to go rogue on your submission.

I am in no way agitating for a military coup ,But my point is that it will definitely be inevitable with the way things are right now in our land.

The first true attribute of democracy is the ability to accept when you have lost an election.

While it is true that many of the coups going on in Africa are a result of the bad policies of the government, there is a difference between disaffection with a government with bad policies and disaffection because you lost an election. They are not the same. Only those who have never lived in a military regime will pray for military intervention. All this nonsense you people are posting on social media, you can’t try it in a military regime. You will be picked up and never seen again. Do you think DSS dont have the IP address of the device and ISP you are posting from? Did you not register with your ISP orSIM card with a name and/or NIN? It’s because you are in a civilian regime you can say what you want, true or false and get away with it.

People lost elections when you were in pseudo power in 1999, 2003, 2007, 2011 periods when rigging was blatant and at it’s peak. They didn’t bring the country down and bully everybody. Why whenever you don’t get what you want, you always want to burn the house down, like you did in 1966-1970?

Those who cannot accept the results of a democratic election are themselves the ones undeserving of democracy.
I am very sure you are still a boy in in his 20s.

I lived unde three different military juntas in Nigeria here- Ibb, Abacha, Abdusalami. I even lived under Buhari but I can't relate how his regime was because I was a kid.

Now let me educate you, the kind of human right violations that has happened and still happening under civilian governments are worse than military. The police and Sars brutality is worse and such never happened under military government.

Tell me what changed in since civilians took over? All the standing infrastructures you see today were built by the military juntas- Gowon Estate, Jakande Estate, Festac, abesan estate etc, refinery, third mainland bridge etc , were built by the military government. I no many roads in Lagos that are still standing today that the elders told us were built by Yakubu Gowon. Please , tell us what the civilian governments built-nothing.

I witnessed ibb must go protest that forced ibb out of power, he stepped down , yet no one person was shot or brutalized. Ordinary endears, the death toll is still counting.

Civilian governments are worse

You see why you are the biggest fool. You hate the truth because it's bitter. Obi has been accused severally for drug dealing and criminal looting but fools like you never want to ask or talk about it. But same way BAT was accused and even when such accusations have been investigated as untrue you fools keep talking about it. Why can't you fools also drag obi for those accusations against him but you want him (another drug dealer) to be president. How foolish can you be.
I do not waste time engaging talks with people with moral bankruptcy, and no sense of decency.

Your drug Lord accepted forfeiting his assets , your drug Lord is still the one fighting for his academic credentials to remain hidden. Kindly drop us verifiable links where obi was convicted for drug related case, or even accused by any government.

You are so shameless, you lack decency and full of morale bankruptcy. The argument initially was that forfeiture is not conviction. Or because it is over 10yrs. But now, that is no longer defendable . This dimwit, criminal , and morally bankrupt scallywag has now brought in another dimension by trying to link drug to other candidates even when no information as regarding that , but just in a bid to tell us that having his drug Lord is nothing bad.
Nairaland is littered with morons and criminals

This is to tell you how African citizens are fast embracing military juntas who they once detest, but now accepting them back. Because he that is down fears no fall. No military regime can be worse than what we currently have as civilian governments.

The first true attribute of democracy is the ability to elect leaders of our choice, but no, they rig elections, unleash thugs on people they perceive not as their supporters, beat up electorates, snatch ballot boxes even with the help of security agents, write results and announce it. And expect you to accept that as democracy , and tell you it is better than military government. If this is what they call democracy, sane African societies are telling them they will rather accept military government.

If the judiciary does not restore confidence , I am afraid for Nigeria, the whole world may soon read same story on headlines of various media outlets just like Mali, Guinea, Niger, and now Gabon , even though we do not wish for such

You are such a dumb ass. Where have you seen Obi or Atiku been accused of drug dealing? You are like a f. ool who thinks everyone should also be a f. ool just to find solace and consolation. To even think that an ordinary citizen who wants Nigeria to be developed and compared to other same nations is supporting this level of absurdity tells you that of a truth, Nigeria is damaged beyond human effort

Anybody who wants Nigeria to ranked among good countries and sees nothing wrong in having a drug Lord as president is not normal

Yes it is the igbos that are been imprisoned, and executed abroad for drug related offences. Just like these ones down here

https://saharareporters.com/2019/04/15/revealed-full-names-23-nigerians-death-row-saudi-arabia.

So even if ordinary citizens push drug, then a President of a Nation should also be such a character? Some people are just shameless. There are offices not befiting of such character, and public office is not befiting for such.

How can a country with sane candidates like Obi, Atiku(even though not too clean but not a convict) force a drug Lord on whole nation as president? You must be sick.

They keep shouting igbos up and down as if igbos are the problems of Nigeria . Yet go abroad and investigate those tarnishing the image of this country , the south westerners ranks number one. From drug, to internet fraud, to confraternity nuisance they constitute everywhere in Europe and Asia. Yet they kept shouting igbos
