Was flabbergasted(didn't even knw she took jamb again),happy for her and also sad. She has paid acceptance fee already and here we are.

The truth is that Neco GCE result comes out around March, by then Uniabuja would have been done with registration. The last admission there was nothing like awaiting result. Finally if its maths your course determines as some faculties accept pass in Maths

No political science no uniabuja indeed... As to if one can do without politics. Its a No. But FYI political scientist don't make people get engage in politics rather they mostly study politics and government. So my point is every course rocks, we all need one another to survive. No one is the Oga @d top because he's studying a course

Private Hostel. Well with God all things are possible... But even in Abaji, Kwali, Sheda or Permanent site I really doubt if you will get a private hostel for #5,000

My oga at the top.... I refuse to associate myself with anything APC, I don't mind joining fresh party. But if the money is huge sha I might reconsider. APC try to fool us by playing saint whereas there's no difference between them and PDP, so I believe.

To prospective aspirants, please don't be scared, I can't categorically say everyone will get admission to uniabuja, but I know if its your time no force can stop you. My words shouldn't discourage you in any form nor anyone's word. Just be strong and we hope it shall be well. Keep praying, hold on to God and if you know people disturb them very well, because getting admission this time might be tougher than previous times due to change in administration and merging of sets. I wish everyone success and hope for a glad heart for you

Admission in Uniabuja is first by merit, educationally less develop area and quota system makes it 3rd n 2nd. There is nothing like catchment area as all states in Nigeria are Unibuja's catchment area.
Jamb send the results of all applicants to a school by late July or early August, Merit list is compiled by the school and the school send it to Jamb to be uploaded.
Forget about all your experience with Uniabuja in the last 4 years, what we had was an idiot with earpiece giving admission as if the university is a nursery school. The same is not true with this new VC.
What we expect is Merit list, 2nd list with quota system and ELD area, staff request n VC list. The reason why somebody with 230 will get admission while another with a higher score fail is purely because of the quota system. When I came to Uniabuja 265 did not give me MBBS, rather I was given Vet Medicine, I saw people with 238 in MBBS thereafter, however, all the people in MBBS from my state had above 265. I sat for Jamb the next year and 275 got me MBBS, what I'm trying to say is, somebody's chance of getting admission in the quota system depends on how competitive his/her state is.
Adelabu era is gone. The shenanigans he called admission process is gone with him.

I have no intention of claim superior knowledge in all ramifications, the only reason why this thread is alive is because we try to disperse information and purify our knowledge. But sometimes popular belief turns out to be force. But I stand by something "JAMB no longer admit students into the University", uniabuja can't be an exception alone. If you have a good result and you are not admitted, you can lodge your complaint to the school and if its an error, and its noted they will fix it for you. Error occurs. Like I said everyone admitted gets JAMB admission letter, but it differs on the period. After names has been sent to Jamb, jamb uploads it on their site and you print out the admission letter, for my set some students admission status started showing in 200l. Uniabuja is a Federal school, not Federal school in the sense that its been run by Federal Government, rather because it has a Federal Catchment area comprising of all the states, only few universities are like this in Nigeria. I really respect everyone's information not trying to be bossy but I'm only trying to make one see another version. To my boss that complain about me arguing I'm truly sorry if you don't like it. But sometimes to pass a point you have to go through an argumentative analysis. My whole point is that from the inception of Post-Ume/utme the power of admitting student has shifted to the school authorities. Incase you don't belief, My admission Status till date shows my Admission of my 2nd choice for law, whereas I was admitted on Merit (1st List) Uniabuja. Your name only appears on jamb site after the school has sent it, and your name will not appear on Jamb website if you have been offered admission by another school and uploaded by Jamb. Like I said I was also believing there was something like JAMB list until I saw the process of this list, if you want to be sure ask how it was done

My Oga, I understand you. But seriously after the confirmation of the first list, you need to fasten your seat belt, hold on to your God, hold on to your earthly connection also. Nothing comes easy. Your score is not in contention. Infact someone with a lower score can be chosen before someone with an higher score. Less Educational Development Area are considered when admitting. That's why you see people with lower score on the list even the so called merit list. Also Catchment area is another factor, after choosing some required candidates, the school goes further in picking equal amount of candidates from each state not regarding the other candidates chosen... So everyone has a chance, even if you score 180...

Mrpresido3, please be informed that the list uploaded on jamb list went through the senate of the Uniabuja, and its not a jamb list, but rather uploaded on Jamb site first. You can fix (runz) admission from jamb but jamb does not compile admission list for the school or any other school. Its only an erroneous belief that Uniabuja's merit list is Jamb List. If you want to contend otherwise look at other schools and see if Jamb provides merit list for them. I was once in your school of thought until I saw the process of this just processed admission and explanation by a member of the committee.... Thanks for understanding

Chairman, you are on point. The last time I checked Uniabuja faculty of Law accept a pass in Mathematics i.e D7 or E8. Moreso combination of results be it Waec and Neco together its allowed. Just keep calm and thank God.

Last yr when i first downloaded my admission letter, iit read that i'll study law for 4yrs, some mnths latr its been changed t 5yrs.

My Oga calm down you are on a safe side. Technically Uniabuja Faculty of Law was not suppose to admit for two years, but before the suspension was placed on them, they have admitted some few prospective students that chose the school for year 2013. After much deliberation, they were given the opportunity to admit for the set. And since they are merging the two sets together prospective 2014 students have the benefit of being admitted to Law.
For your admission letter that showed you 5years, that is the correct duration and minimum for law, but for most people even mine JAMB has always kept 4years. So that shouldn't bother you. Happy you are in Law Faculty. Can't wait to see you. For any information about Law (Uniabuja) 07069299317.

rakish: Saw uniabuja's webmasters number on the skul site uniabuja.edu.ng i called him and he said a committe was setup and they are still on the admission processes that the list wil be out b4 the end of september. He also said their wil be no post ume,it has bin cancelled. So i tink the skul wil get 2014/2015 aspirants info frm jamb and work on the admissions b4 sending the list of admitted students to jamb. Also,frm wat he said i came to a conclusion dat it wil be a merged list dats 2013 and 2014 list wil be merged and released together. So its gonna be strictly on merit,no long legs i guess.

When I was saying it, it looks funny... The way they are even choosing its only those that chose it as first choice they are choosing and limited... Permit me to say its Nigeria, long leg is allowed, but please watch before you leap....

Instead of comparing you should have chose unilag, I doubt if anyone in uniabuja forced you to choose the school. If you have your reservations like everyone else does, there is no problem in venting. But insulting the school is also insulting the products of the school which is totally unfair...

Dannyxy: one thing you guys are not getting is that, without post ume, your name can not appear on jamb site, it is the school that selects the students with the highest score in jamb, then takes the list to jamb, jamb now releases it as merit list.

Dere is not going 2 b P Utme any longer longer.... It is confirmed d@ a merger is goin 2apn n dere is gonna b a list very soon.... Its a complilation of all list hopefully... N shd b ready in maximum of 2weeks, it has passed d committe stage only waiting 4 recommendation

I just heard that the merging stuff might not happen again, that's why they cancelled Post ume, it's not really confirmed though.
the post ume is going to be in September.
2013/2014 set I heard that the list is going to be out soon, probably in three weeks time.

Admission list is within d range of 4,000 n max of 6,000 depending on JAMB.... Abt d merging d school hasn't n didn't notify JAMB.... Moreso JAMB is already requesting 4d school's admission list, which led 2cancelling of d PUTME n d banks were never instructed 2sell drafts
