FIFA President Sepp Blatter again hinted he plans to stand for another four-year term as the head of world football during a speech to Asian Football Confederation (AFC) delegate in which he called for more world cup places for Asian teams. The 77-year old Swiss, speaking at the AFC Congress in Kuala Lumpur on Friday, was discussing his reform plans before he appeared to reveal he was not going to quit the presidency in two years time. "This will be the last term of, not of office, the last term of the reform," Blatter said, smiling as he delivered the message. Blatter went on to describe that the reform period, brought in to clear up the scandal-hit body that has seen members routinely banned on graft charges, would end in 2015. The Swiss ignored reporter's requests to clarify his position after the Congress. Blatter had previously said he planned to step down from office at end of his latest four-year term in 2015 but opened up a loophole in March by adding that providing he could find someone to carry on his legacy. UEFA President Michel Platini, who watched on Thursday as Sheikh Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa of Bahrain won the AFC Presidential election in a landslide, has long been tipped to replace Blatter. Sheikh Salman said he was grateful for the backing Blatter had given the AFC and said he would reciprocate should the Swiss choose tn stay on. "If he announces, of course," Sheikh Salman told reporters. "He has always been a supporter of Asian football and if he can fulfill and continue as a President of course I'll support him." |

Tolexander: Very sure and 100% certain that if none of them wins tomorrow, then the match will end in draw. Possibly 1 1 goaless draw!. I disagree because chelsea will win the day. |
Sir Alex Ferguson looks set to make a solitary change from the team that faced Arsenal as Shinji Kagawa seems primed to replace Nani, operating off the left wing. Ashley Young (ankle) is definitely ruled out while Nemanja Vidic (knee) and Danny Welbeck (calf) are also doubtful as the strains that ruled them both out of the Arsenal game persist. Rafa Benitez, meanwhile, appears ready to make his now-customary changes to make way from team that beat Basel 3-1 on Thursday. John Terry, Ashley Cole, John Obi Mikel, Juan Mata, Oscar and Demba Ba are all expected to replace Gary Cahill, Ryan Bertrand, Frank Lampard, Ramires, Victor Moses and Fernando Torres from the previous starting XI. There are no serious injury problems for the Blues, though Marko Marin, unlikely to feature anyway, may only be fit enough for the bench as he continues to recover from thigh problem. |

Agyel, who resides at Afprint compound, Isolo Expressway, Isolo, Lagos, appeared before an Oshodi Magistrates' court in Lagos, on a count charge of stealing. The prosecutor, Cpl. The deed has been done and there's no way to turn back the hands of time. I was flushed with excitement when I heard my name was out to study my dreamt course in one of the universities in naija. Of all the seven days in a week, friday was the day I cherished so much as these thought would come into my mind, "thank God is friday", although I didn't take my studies for granted. Because of that, course registrations and school fees where doubled if not tripled in order to sustained me for some months or for the whole session. I didn't bother to sit down and considered what will happen after graduation while waiting for youth service. Today is the reverse as those benefits does not favour me any more and am no more friendly with fridays because of................graduate. Perhaps, I would've "make hay while the sun shines" by saving those monies. Please where you in my shoes and how did you come by it while waiting for youth service? |
