Meet the Landlord, the house was completed but gave the landlord a week to get the key and still got duped. Took me over 4 months to nab the landlord and still havent collected all my money ( even after involving SFU). Take all the neccesary steps which would reduce your being duped but still keep your eyes open. |
Sometime last year i tried to rent an apartment. I met the Landlord at his office severally and eventually paid for the apartment. He collected money from more than one tenant for the same apartment. He issued a dud cheque for a refund and his family stays in one of the apartments. How do i go about getting my money back has he never stays at home and his family is aiding and abetting him. Also the police is taking forever. Any useful direction would be helpful. Thankz |

Did my interview on the 2nd of October 2012. Prepared for my interview using this tread as part of my resources. I applied for a visiting visa and it was my first USA visa interview. I got all my documents ready, prayed, fasted and was conscious of the way I looked and how the interviewer would interpret my body language. I have travelled to Dubai(Thrice) and Ghana (severally). I am not married. The questions asked include: 1. Why I was visiting the US? 2. Where my brother works? 3. His middle name? 4. His date of birth 5. Since when he has been in the US 6. His he married 7. The school he attended in the US 8. The type of visa he entered the US with The interviewers accent wasn't audible so I had to repeat his questions sometimes and confirm if that was what he meant and note at no point was i asked for any document. I have collected my passport and was given 2 years multiple entry. Wish you guys the best |
