An affluent man blessed with twelve children, with an impetuous lifestyle was then diagnosed of cancer, but was lead to christ by a man of God. The answered prayer of his dear wife.

All his children were stubborn and unbelievers. They wished for their father to die soonest and leave his treasure for them to inherit. Boko Haram insurgents on Wednesday hijacked a commercial bus and kidnapped the passengers on board in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

A relative of one of the kidnap victims, Isa Musa, told Reuters that between 10 and 20 people were kidnapped by the insurgents. It was uncertain of the exact number of people abducted.

The Nasarawa State AIDS Control Agency has identified early sex initiation as one of the factors increasing the vulnerability of HIV/AIDS among Adolescent and Young Persons in the state.

The Executive Director of the agency, Dr Ruth Adabe, said this on Thursday in Keffi while presenting an overview of PMTCT and AYP of the state at a two-day meeting with media chief executives, reporters and producers in the state.

The meeting is co-organised by the United Nations Children’s Fund, Kaduna Field Office, and the National Orientation Agency.

Adabe, who was represented by Dr Peter Attah, the state’s HIV/AIDS and STIs Control Programme Officer, also identified early child marriage among girls, low and lack of knowledge and appropriate counselling as factors responsible for increasing the vulnerability of the scourge among the AYPs in the state..... Pandemonium broke out at a popular hotel in the Egbeda area of Lagos State when police officials stormed and arrested 57 men who they alleged to be gay and were involved in homosexual activities.

Addressing journalists during a press conference, the Lagos Commissioner of Police, CP Edgal Imohimi, said that the suspects were picked up on Sunday at 2 a.m. while they were performing gay initiation rites for newly recruited members.

There was confusion in the Oba Ile area of Akure North Local Government Area, Ondo State when a husband attacked his wife and cut off her two fingers and ran away with them.

However, luck ran out on the man identified as Idowu Benson as operatives of the Ondo State Police Command on Sunday arrested him.

The 42-year-old suspect was said to have gone into his house around 7pm of the day of the attack wearing a mask, armed with a machete and pretended to be a hired assassin.

He was said to have told his wife Kemi Idowu that he was sent to kill her and in an attempt to cut her head, he cut the two fingers.

The court has handed down a death sentence to a 31-year-old man who killed his wife and stored her body in a freezer for three months.

Zhu Xiaodong was sentenced to death on Thursday by a Shanghai court after he was convicted of strangling his wife Yang Liping to death during an argument.
