My Nairalanders I want your experience here,I was told by my friend about buying of community slots in some oil company. However,I went with my friend and we met the middle man with regards to the slots(job opening) who happens to be a spokesman to the community chief... Am worried if this is real as I haven't done this before although I have been hearing about something of this nature before not forgetting also the amount we were asked to pay! So please help me as am still having some doubt in me...what should I do? |

Pls I want to be cleared about the price because am interested and at the same time which organizations are SAP organizations where someone can apply for work with it. |
My dear my best advice to u is that u should put yourself together! Don't start what you can't end...compromise is one thing I won't advice anyone just coming up in life to start following especially to the female folk. Don't even try it. Lastly,I will advice you to put it to God in prayers. Ur prayer point should be "divine distraction" |

Let's share our experiences concerning offshore oil & gas workers as to the most paying skill(s) on board and the most paying companies if its servicing or drilling rigs! Let's also not rule out the associated risk and fun times... So you think you know or you have the experience? Then keep it coming! |
Yes...I also did get a congratulation mail from them. |
Good morning dear Nairalanders...please I need your advice on career switch. I read Management in the university but somewhere along the line am beginning to pick interest in offshore activities as a result of this I have been prompted to secure a Diploma in Rigging & Scaffolding and upon completion of the training I have even done level 2 & 3 Advanced Rigging. Be it as it may this is not a permanent switch but more like a way to secure some amount of capital which I can use to set up my own empire as my dream has always been that of an employer rather an employee... So what else do I still need to be on board an offshore facility more so which rigs pay most? Although,I know a thread like this has been created sometimes back last year but we can still keep the discussion rolling... You may never know as you could be someone's mentor...not forgetting also to throw light on safety! |
Good afternoon my dear Nairalanders, please I want to know about the payroll of an offshore level 3 Advanced rigger salary in Nigeria. Please help and also want to know the most paying jobs on an offshore drilling rig that is the big guys that make six figures in offshore despite the slum in oil prices. This is to get I and my friend guided so that we don't waste our limited resources, although a friend had asked us to do level 3 rigging. (Una know seycountry hard o!) So pls drop your post(s) |

This is directed to every good Nigerian and political aspirants out there that care about the welfare of the Nigerian Student(s) as we can no longer endure these horrible treatment. It is a high time enough someone tell us where the Nigerian student has gone wrong,as we have become uncomfortable with the bitter pills of the so-called JAMB(Joint Admission & Matriculation Board)... The Nigeria student(s) who is supposed to be the joyous child of the day has continually become the weeping child and a gold mine for institutional exploitation. I am embittered that, the purported 100% computerized JAMB 2015 examination has something fishy behind it,how can her(JAMB)board say its 100% but at the end of the exam process the student can't see his/her score to ascertain performs immediately but that the student will see it the following day... is this truly 100% computerized? something is wrong somewhere because I see it as another evil, corrupt and barbaric move aimed at exploiting the innocent student(s) again. Imagine situations whereby some of the registered students experience things like uncontrolled computer short down, some even wrote their exams as late as 7p.m in this turbulent season of politics. But has the Nigerian student totally become a mere victim of circumstance or what? I say expressly here, without owing apologies to anyone or authority that JAMB has lost her fabrics. Secondly, that JAMB should be scrapped in place of Aptitude Test being conducted by universities and other tertiary institutions to serve the purpose of the so-called JAMB since it can no more serve its purpose. Despite their effort to being part of the national aspiration of becoming a global village they shouldn't have imposed this kind of immediate and cruel shift on the innocent student when they don't have the accommodating system on ground for these numberless students. Some of their accredited agents whose E-Centres were supposed to be used as JAMB Centres Couldn't access the so-called JAMB network who is the host and you see students being moved from one point to the other at late hours of the day .Professionally,we believe in management that change is not achieved in a blitz. This is an injustice/unfair treatment in the open air and as such we must react to it without contempt,to you aspiring to be an assembly man/woman,senate,reps and to every good Nigerian out there what is your view point on this?
