In Nigeria today, many young graduates are struggling to secure jobs. This desperation has sadly opened doors for heartless fraudsters who exploit innocent people with fake promises of employment in government agencies. One of such men is someone who calls himself “Comptroller Adeyinka. or Adeoye. This man has perfected a cruel trick to deceive job seekers, especially those who dream of working with the Nigeria Customs Service or Nigeria Immigration Service. He calls people and confidently claims that he has job slots for recruitment. To make himself appear genuine, he uses multiple phone numbers, and when checked on Truecaller, his name often appears as “Comptroller Adeyinka.” How He Operates Here’s his method step by step: 1. First Contact: He reaches out to unsuspecting individuals, claiming to be a senior officer in Customs or Immigration. 2. Collection of Details: He asks for the candidate’s personal information, including five guarantors. Shockingly, he doesn’t just stop there he calls the guarantors too, pretending to also offer them slots for their family members or graduates looking for work. 3. The Payment Trap: He demands money under different disguises sometimes ₦70,000 for processing, sometimes another payment for “kits” for training. 4. False Codes: After a victim submits details, he pretends to issue an “employment code,” only to later claim that the recruitment has been disrupted. Then, he pressures candidates to urgently pay a percentage (about 10%) of an inflated ₦700,000 fee to secure their slot. 5. Broken Promises: Once the money is paid, he either asks for more or simply disappears. Calls go unanswered, and victims are left heartbroken. Real Victims Three innocent people recently fell victim to his scam and lost ₦75,000 each. The money was paid into a Jaiz Bank account under the name Yakubu Muhammad. Yakubu Muhammad Yakubu Muhammad. I personally encountered this same man. He tried to trick me too, but because I didn’t have enough money at the time, I held back. Unfortunately, those who trusted him lost their hard-earned money, and he is still out there targeting more desperate job seekers. His Known Phone Numbers 📞 08169821633 📞 09033763373 If you see these numbers or hear the name “Comptroller Adeyinka” connected to recruitment, please run for your life. Why This Matters This man has been carrying out this wicked activity for a while, and many innocent graduates have already fallen victim. People are struggling, yet these scammers have no shame in preying on their pain. A Call for Help 🚨 We need urgent help to: • Report the Jaiz Bank account under Yakubu Muhammad. • Track the phone numbers used in this scam. • Spread this awareness so that no other graduate falls victim to his lies. If you or someone you know works in banking, law enforcement, or cybercrime investigation, please help. Every kobo matters to the people who lost their money, and justice must catch up with this man. Final Words To “Comptroller Adeyinka or Adeoye,” wherever you are hiding: you may think you’re smart, but God’s justice never fails. You may scam people today, but peace will never dwell with you. One day, your wickedness will catch up with you. And to every Nigerian graduate out there: please be careful. Always verify any job offer directly from official websites and avoid sending money to unknown individuals. Genuine government recruitment does not require bribes or personal payments. Let’s stand together and stop these scammers. Please share this message widely you might save someone from becoming the next victim.

Education is the backbone of any thriving nation, and Nigeria cannot afford to keep neglecting it. A well-equipped and corruption-free education system will produce the thinkers, innovators, and leaders needed to drive national development. The question remains: Will we continue to watch our education sector decline, or will we demand the change it desperately needs? The future of Nigeria depends on the choices we make today. |
Exactly! It’s crazy how he rob the staffs of their hard work and still act like it’s nothing. We really need to expose him and seek for justice. Before he keeps exploiting others!” |
Thanks boss The guy doesn’t even care about the staff. Whenever we asked about our salary after all the hard work, burning data and fuel to attend twice-daily meetings on Teams, he’d simply tell us to resign. No payment, no accountability—just exploitation!” |
I hope you’re doing well. I’ve been meaning to share my experience with the POS (agent banking) business for a while, especially for those thinking of starting it. I’ll keep it real, simple, and straight to the point, hoping it helps someone make a more informed decision. ⸻ How I Started I began my POS business late last year. I had some savings and decided to give it a try after seeing how profitable it seemed in my area. With a capital of around ₦120,000, I set up a small umbrella stand, got a POS machine from a mobile money agent, and started operations. The excitement was real in the beginning. I thought, “Ah, by month-end I should be counting steady profit.” Well, reality hit different. ⸻ The Good Side First Let me not lie — there’s money in POS business, but only if done right. Some days I made up to ₦3,000 in profit. On a really good day (especially weekends or market days), it could go higher. If you have the right location and reliable network, you can build a loyal customer base quickly. Also, cash is king in many places. A lot of people still depend on POS agents for transactions like cash withdrawals, transfers, and bill payments. ⸻ Now, the Not-So-Great Side Here are a few things I wish I knew before jumping in: 1. Location is Everything: If you’re not in a high-foot-traffic area, you’ll likely struggle. My first spot was too quiet. I had to relocate before I started seeing real returns. 2. Security Risks: Sadly, POS agents are frequent robbery targets. Even in broad daylight. I learned to never keep too much cash on me and to always have a discreet security plan — even if it’s just partnering with nearby shop owners. 3. Network Wahala: This one can make or break your day. Some days, the POS machine just keeps declining transactions, and customers get frustrated. I had to register with multiple platforms (e.g., Moniepoint, Opay, Palmpay) to switch when one network fails. 4. Fraud and Fake Alerts: It’s real out there. Some customers send fake alerts or trick agents into confirming before the money drops. Always confirm payment on your bank app, not just on the POS terminal. 5. Charges and Commission: Not all platforms charge the same or offer good commissions. I switched from one provider to another because their charges were eating into my profit. Do your research before choosing one. ⸻ What I’d Do Differently • Spend more time doing market research before choosing a location. • Start small, test the waters, and scale only if it works. • Build relationships with nearby shops or security personnel. • Don’t rely on one POS provider — have at least two for backup. • Take customer service seriously — your attitude affects your referrals. ⸻ Final Thoughts POS business is not “easy money” like many people think, but with the right strategy, you can make a decent and steady income. If you’re currently running one or planning to start, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s share ideas and help each other grow. Thanks for reading. If you found this helpful, feel free to share or comment. I’ll be happy to answer any questions. |
Title: Reviving Nigeria’s Education Sector: Addressing Corruption and Equipping Our Universities for Excellence As a passionate educationist and an advocate for quality education, I believe Nigeria’s education sector holds immense potential. However, the persistent issues of corruption, underfunding, and inadequate infrastructure continue to cripple our institutions, hindering the growth of both students and educators. The Reality of Corruption in Nigeria’s Education System Corruption has eaten deep into the education sector, manifesting in multiple forms—from admission racketeering to the embezzlement of funds meant for infrastructure and research. Some university officials exploit students for financial and personal gains, while government budgets for education often disappear without tangible improvements. This systemic corruption reduces the quality of education and demotivates students and lecturers alike. The Need to Equip Nigerian Universities for Global Competitiveness Nigeria’s universities should be centers of innovation and excellence, yet many lack basic learning facilities. Poor funding results in outdated curricula, dilapidated structures, insufficient research grants, and an overburdened workforce. The world is moving forward with advancements in AI, robotics, and other technological innovations, but many Nigerian universities still struggle with power supply and internet access. The Role of Government in Educational Reform The government has a responsibility to do better. Policies must prioritize education by: • Increasing funding and ensuring accountability in its disbursement. • Modernizing university infrastructure to align with global standards. • Implementing stricter measures to tackle corruption within the sector. • Investing in research and professional development for lecturers. • Encouraging partnerships with global institutions to foster knowledge exchange. My Vision as a Future University Educator I aspire to be a professional educator in a Nigerian university, contributing to the transformation of our higher education system. I believe in fostering an academic environment where students are encouraged to think critically, innovate, and compete on a global scale. Education should not be about survival but about thriving and making a meaningful impact. If we truly want to see Nigeria rise as an intellectual powerhouse, the time to act is now. It is time for policymakers, educators, and stakeholders to work together to cleanse the system of corruption and invest in equipping our institutions with the tools needed for 21st-century learning. What are your thoughts on the current state of education in Nigeria? Let’s discuss in the comments! |
