Skii: @ boldedwhen i took her to the hospital the first time. I made the nurse write my mom's first and middle names on the card. My mom is too uninformed to start prying into all dat details. As incredible as dis whole story sounds, it's actually very hard to fathom how it's all gone down. But the truth is dat i need to put a stop to dis whole thing b4 it skyrockets out of hand. How to go abt it is wat i seek to know right now. |
nat138: @ OP, it is really difficult to understand how you can date a girl for 10 years, and she has never come across a situation where you've been addressed by your ral name. Hasn't she ever been to where you work? Or you have also told the people at work to address you by the other name she knows? Or hasn't she come acroSs any receipts of stuFf you've paid for like rent, water bills etc? It is really hard to believe.she's never been to my working place. I dread her coming there for obvious reasons. My only account number which she has is the former salary account the security company opened for us in those days. And i've made her believe that's the only account i use till date. She pays into it atimes. The receipts i wud always want her to com across are basically the not so useful ones where i wud always use that pseudo name. U see, everything looks so real to her. And as for the NBA, This can pass for fraudulent past record which means i wasn't even fit and proper in the 1st place to be called to the bar. Break up seems the only viable option here. But hey, on wat grounds. Not after all she's committed into dis relationship (financially and otherwise). Apart frm making me a sadist to her. It'll stil unsettle my own emotions. My mom would even scold me to the brim. She's hypertensive and has been going for a regular medical check up at their hospital free of charge since january last year. All these is courtesy of my woman. So u see why break up isn't jst going to be as easy as it sounds. |
gree-die:i've tot about it for a very long while. Stil cant see it's possibility due to som reasons. |
charony: plantation can I have your number?08174026081 |
Am a singer but i want to start taking guitar lessons. Just wondering how long it'll take me to be able to sing along wit it. |
Been singing casually in church. But wishing to take it higher now. First, am going for the mtn project fame audition next month. I'll see how it goes. And i'll decide my next line of action after that. Will be nice to work together with like minds too. Am in lagos. Check me out on facebook.com/paulosis |
Mynd_44: Before you tell her, just consider one thing. If she tells the NBA, you are an Arsenal fannow u're talking. U see where my career could be could be at risk here? U never can predict the limit of her vexations. |
gree-die:it's really somtin i stil cant believe myself. As the only child of my parents my mom who's the only surviving of my parents refers to me by a name which in our local dialect implies my singles child status. It was obvious to her why my mom calls me dat. And a couple of my friends i allowed her to meet (especially my roomate in skul) had been intimated by me on wats going on between us and given roles to play too to safeguard the name, which they also did perfectly well. I never gave her any chance to com across any of my confidential documents. All my books bore dat name which my mom calls me (which has almost becom lyk my nickname). I never invited her to any occasion where i wud most definitely be identified by my real name. Infact it went on and on like dat and i played it well and never gave her any cause to suspect anytin being amiss. And as for my profession, it's quite afar off frm my personal life. The whole saga started even long b4 i got called to the bar remember. Right now am jst trying to come up wit the most viable strategy to unravel dis whole story to her while awaiting the inevitable disastrous outcome. |
Mynd_44: It is called evading dudejust like i said earlier, thanks for stopping by. The thread is all urs now to continue ur rantings. I've taken the very gud words here ok. |
Mynd_44: Well I guess that wraps up her impression of lawyersanyway her impressions about us isn't really the core issue here. Any profession's got it areas of public witfalls. Bro, i suggest u address the major issue here and stop cutting edges and replying at every single obiter or aside statements here. |
polokor60: op what is your profession again??tell her the truth because it was out of neccesity you made use of that certificate, she ll be dissappointed at first but she ll come to terms with it later on.but lawyers sabi lie sha,she ll take your confession as an occupational hazardShe says am the only lawyer that she can always trust to say the truth. How disappointed could she be when she'll finally discover all dis. |
Hahaha... I just remembered my 1st toasting experience. There was dis girl dat would always pass through our house while going back from skul. I would boast to my friends how i'll tear her brains wit yarns anytym i stop her. But each time i sight her coming, i would run and hide until she passes. The girl began to sense somtin cos each time she passes, there will always be silence amongst my friends. We were more or less area boys cos we were always doing this 'hard man' things on the street. One day out of excess gingering by my friends, i decided to take the bull by the horn. I stopped her wit so much morale, but as soon as she turned and starred into my eyes, i developed goose pimples immediately, my legs were shaking, my heart beat pumped up, standing in front of her, she made my condition worse wen she discovered how my nerves quake. Speaking wit an intimidating tone, she asked "wat is it?" I felt like crying on dat spot. The time was around 3pm or so. All i could say is "gud morning, pls wat is the time?" even wen it was obvious she hadn't any wrist watch on her. Immediately she sighed and turned to leave, i fled. I didn't even talk to my friends again. I went straight into our house and tried forcing myself to sleep. After then, i would dodge each time i sight the girl approaching. It was indeed very funny. |
Mynd_44: The next rise they point a rifle at you, tell them thathad actually been pointed dat stuff a couple of times. Feels icy on the neck.. Lol. Anyway, thanks for stopping by. |
kilimanjaro: When u see police madness once, u will be convinced they are your number one enemy!lawyers don't fear them. I'll always have my way with the cop. We know the rules beta than they do. |
kilimanjaro: Op, u are a sharp guy! Call her up and explain things to her in the best way u can. Hope she understand; i hope she understand so far u didn't use the fake result to seek admission.if we were not gearing towards marriage, maybe i wouldn't hav been least bordered. Ok let's assume she finally decides to forgive after getting to hear dis and she still decides that we get married, what does it make if she still sees me as a chronic liar even after marriage? |
tellwisdom: Go sit downi wasn't even standing abinitio |
bandiejay: Go ahead and tell her the truth if she is yours she will stay .... why are you afraid we all have our past ... and lastly ask for forgivenessthanks i'll see if i can. It's gon be difficult anyway. |
Mynd_44: Can someone please call the police? We have an identity thief herethe police is our friend remember |
slimyem: have you been using that fake name on your certificates for the past ten years still? slimyem: have you been using that fake name on your certificates for the past ten years still?nah, my certificates and every relevant legal documents bears my real name. Jst used dat certificate wit another name in 2002 out cos i was awaiting my waec results then. And maybe out of desperation to get something doing. How i've played dis prank for 10years stil baffles me. Telling her the truth is no big deal. Just wondering how she'll take it and wat she might do afterwards. |
Pls dis is really my story. After my secondary skul in 2002, while awaiting results of my WAEC exam, i used a friend's result to start a security job, the name on the result which was actually what i bore all through the 2yrs i worked with the company was not my name. While working there, i fell in luv with a colleague of mine who knew me only by that name. We got admission into different skuls in 2004. At first i never thought anytin gud was gonna come out of dat relationship, but after a while i discovered we had really gotten into each other. For years i used all sort of pranks to make sure she doesn't realise i had been deceitful in name right from the beginning. Today she's a practising doctor and Am a practising lawyer. It's exactly 10years we met. And we're focused on getting married very soon. The problem now is this: Despite the amount of love we share, (1)am afraid what the outcome would be if she gets to know my real identity, (2)how would she feel if she gets to know dat some stories which i had actually told her in the past all in a bid to protect the pseudo name were actually not real? (3) will she ever trust me again after locking her out of the truth for 10years? PLEASE YOU CAN SLAP ME WITH THAT GENUINE ADVICE. |
19naia: Naira land is good, but open forums in the old style like naira land is,they allow threads to be invloved with anyone who agees or not...facebook is like having your own web site where you can add and delete who ever you like and you can allow people to be on your site and not allowed to post or vice versa...i tried to upload my photo on naira land an it would not let me because too much digital info for the site to handle for one picture...face book takes all my pictures and even up to six at one click..Face book appeals to individuals whobring their own web sites or pages together under facebook, whereas nairaland is just one website where everyone just piles in together for better or worse with editing and regulation enforcement left to the moderators or admins.....This is just my comparison....I like Naira land for the fact that more expansive feedback from Nigerians than i can attract on my facebook page -and my face book page would reveal too much to strangers,so naira land is for including strangers and facebook is for keeping contacts with old friends...you're just on point |
This pic was actually downloaded from Sagna's official twitter page. To me it shows Yann M'villa to Arsenal is a done deal.

I joined this forum since 2007,even before i knew facebook was not just about those ugly faces. Nairaland to me and in the context of what best utility a curious nigerian social networking mind can yearn for is simply the best. There's hardly any topic you enter on the google and you dont see nairaland as part of the recommended web links. So why spend so much time on facebook and twitter when there's so much more lurking on Nairaland? |
I think the negative side of Wenger's notorious youth policy is beginning to catch up with the team. The wage bills of the club has grown abysmally high due to the so called dead woods in the squad. So many of these players where given unmerited professional contracts with at their teenages wit the hope them becoming prolific wit time. But we know too well how Vela, denilson, bentner, frimpong, djourou, etc hav gotten nowhere near dat. Disposing them off has lingered for some time now. And wit all these in place, i doubt the Board might want to meet up with VanPersie's wage demands. I agree with u, if we can secure giroud, we can as well let Vanpersie go if their negotiations falters. But our problem stil lies in getn dat midfield cover for our defence. |
With the transfer window set to open in europe soonest. I thought it wise to create this thread where we Arsenal fans would come together to discuss on the transfer prospects of our dear club Arsenal. To start with, who do you think should come in and who should be shown the exit. There's this rumour in the foreign dailies today of a move by Arsenal to bring in Olivier Gourd frm Montepellier. Chamark is being offered as part of the deal. And also what do you make of the current Van Persie contract situation? You're also free to alert the house on breaking transfer news concerning Arsenal. Objectivity is key here. Welcome onboard. |
