As an Arsenal fan. I cant just wait to see the Spurs fall back into the deep well. With Harry out, dat's jst the beginning. Pls Moyes refuse to be dragged into dat deep well wit those Spuds. |
Wereh kpe: 9jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!Anyway, i didn't hear u talk abt the pitches and audiovisual facilities, just the capacity and roofing. Am glad u also mentioned my home stadium Enyimba Int. Stadium lol. Seriously, i was at the Emirates and Reebok a year ago and i can say dat apart frm the capacity, ours is just a sorry sight |
miky: most of the money spent on these stadiums would be recouped through tickets from euro games, and that of their league games.. imagine naija spending hundreds of millions to build stadiums only for people to stay at home and watch chelsea matches instead of local leagueswhether ppl stay at home or not, all we're saying is dat the $360m could hav been used to put up a world class stadium if not for the corruption in the system. And talking abt watching Nigerian league matches, i believe nigerians are football loving ppl. If the NFL and NFF put their ass together, repackage our league and giv us somtin we'll all feel excited watching as a football league, why wont nigerians go to they stadia to watch. I cant imagine myself having to spend my time going to watch a game that we already know the home team wil win either by hook or by crook. I watched all Enyimba home games in 2003/04 season, then it was a pleasure to watch. Rather than improving, the standards hav detoriated. Finally, England hav WEMBLEY, apart frm the cup finals, how many times do they hav to solely depend on match tickets inorder to keep it world class? Nomatter wat, i think we deserve at least a world class National Stadium. Even if not for league matches, at least for international games. |
mens dept: Actually the poster seems to be more patriotic than you. Nigeria is not good enough for anyone frankly, particularly those who's lives were wasted recently....I guess dis is the most sensible post i've read so far. Even when we all thought the Abuja stadium was at its best, yet it was no were near the 1st 100stadia in the world in terms of exhilarating ultra modern facilities. We started building dat stadium at a time when korea/japan had already set out a standard on wat a modern stadium should look like, yet Abuja stadium got nowhere around even the worst of the world cup hosting stadia in those countries. Seeing some earlier posters attack the OP's honest and sincere question shows how we as Nigerians have basically accepted Mediocrity as part of our DNA. Oh, anyone ever seen the pitch of our highly coveted abuja stadium lately? For Mohammed Sake, why should we ever cast another glimpse at that stadium, after watching wat South Africa had on ground dat even stunned the world? |
werepeLeri: Daft thread. What is your definition of decent? So when FIFA brings World Cup hosting to Nigeria - why u no shout say we no get decent stadia? Mtcheewww. Whats your definition of world class. It's obvious u're the contractor that built all those scrab of a stadium in Nigeria. |
nijanigga: You must be very hungry, what's 200,000k is going to do for you? less than $1500 USD. While senators and jona, ministers are sharing millions of dollars in seconds.same thing i was gonna say. |
Koolking: Last I checked, foreigners who own businesses in Nigeria don't exploit Nigerians, but Nigerians in the helm of affairs of these companies exploit fellow Nigerians and give the foreigners the impetus to treat Nigerians as 'menstrual pads'. Selfishness and 'oga takes it all' syndrome by privileged Nigerians is the bane of our growth.u jst spoke my mind. Does the OP think there're more indians in Nigeria than we have nigerians in their country? That'll really be an uninformed thought. |
If i recapture dat image of my mother having to hawk african salad all around the village in tatard clothes in those days just to see her only child thru school. And which by God's grace her dreams has finally come thru. Then i jst will forever giv a very biased judgement regarding any form of insult on her from anybody, including my wife. I would always intimate my wife on what the outcome of rendering any form of insult on my mom would be. And if for whatsoever reason she goes ahead to insult her at any time, SHE WILL BE A PITIABLE GONER. *period* |
Any news yet on the when the exam wil be coming up? |
Mynd_44: Just let us know what happenssure, i'll keep the house posted with events as they unfold. |
Konnektions146: truth is bitter but the ultimate.thanks so much bro. |
Mynd_44: You are not outta the woods yetyeah but at least there's a ray of hope coming thru. Been calling her since morning, no response. Am confident she'll come out strong very soon. Spoke wit her elder sis dis evening and she hasn't heard anytin yet. Shows me she's stil calm abt it. And will definitely come to terms wit it. |
Mynd_44: You are not outta the woods yet |
Mynd_44: Good to know you are still alive dudemy broda i survived it o! Thanks bro |
ITbomb: So relievedOboy na true o! I'll be on the look out for it. But am jst hapi she looked quite harmless dis morning. We'll definitely make up pretty soon. She's really in luv. |
Mehn, i finally opened up to her after a very long hesitation, luck was really on my side cos she was a lil tipsy dat nite. I thought she heard all i told her cos she found it hard to believe but only managed to mutter som words like "ok, no probs, i luv u and not ur name." I was over-joyed and clubbed like never b4. Was jst surprised wen earlier dis morning i brought out my file and showed her my degree and call to bar certificates and a whole lot of other document bearing my real name, she gave a very stern look apparently expressing surprise at wat i was showing her. She asked "wat's all dis wit a different name on ur certificates and why're u showing dem to me?" I told her it was in furtherance to what i told her last nite. She asked wat it was i told her last nite cos she doesn't remember my telling her anytin abt my certificate. At that point it became obvious to me dat she was actually too tipsy to hav understood any bit of wat i told her last nite. To shorten the whole long story, i recounted my story to her again... Knelt down as soon as i realised she was now battling tears. In short, she feels disappointed in me right now and has asked me to give her a break. But am very convinced dat break isn't gonna last for long b4 we're back together again. That's how it all went down yesternite and dis morning o! No acid bath as @ITbomb had anticipated. And toh badt cos even get ATM.. Lolz |
Hey Peeps, am at the club right now with my girl. Nomatter wat, dis is dat nite where it's all goin down. Tell her or not to tell her... Wait till morning to know how it's all gone.. Wish me luck. |

Guitarlife: One year if you are meticulous. You will need good instructional materials and a good tutor too.am in Lagos. Wud really appreciate it. Thanks |
gbogboti: Why don't you buy a DSTV WALAK instead?how does it work and what cud be the price? |
ITbomb: That was your payday and you missed it. when she say that you could have answer and say that you are the deceitful fellow {on your knees}. and if she is listening explain in 60 sec why you did it, then leave her to her thoughts, dont overload her with explanations.Ok, we're planning to hang out together at the club tomoro nite, coincidentally it happens to be our friendship anniversary (as we call it) and we shifted the celebration frm last week due to her very busy schedule to tomoro. Just wondering if dat'll be the right atmosphere to reveal it to her the way u've said. Pls tell me. |
cupid4ig: nokia 5330what could be the price range for this phone? |
kuphid: If u choose 2 breakup with her,as a doctor she ll b sme smartass, she jst can't tke it likely, she may come across dis fake name issue n all hell will b let loose, she ll so enjoy bringing u down.well said |
I've been to these three places and can't really say where u see the best of a lady's dance skills. So let's get it going? Where do ladies dance better, in church, club or at organised parties? |
ITbomb: The best thing you should do now, is to introduce her to nairaland , then show her this post, and ask of her opinion , as in how she will feel if in that shoe.i guess i already did somtin like dat a couple of days back, told her i read a story like dis but wit varying dates, professions and other things that might arouse her suspicion in a magazine. As for her feelings, i jst remember her reiterating the 'Men are wicked thing.' when i asked her wat she could hav done if she were in the girl's shoes, she emphasised how 10yrs isn't 10days and how she can never get married to such deceitful fellow. Seriously, dat really gave me no incentive for confession. I guess my options has finaly been trimmed down to jst Break up. Stil looking for dat 'Devil's heart' to be able to do it. If the options are not exhausted yet, u stil tell me. |
Duke_Nija: @OPhaving posted dis story on Nairaland. I guess the posts could never hav been complete without some senseless and unwelcome posts by some slowpoke out there who's got no single brain to think out any reasonable elements of positive intuition... Anyway, thanks for stopping by. |
enuelly: You could shocked to see that if you tell her she will just laugh it off and it will be a joke afterall. Just tell her op there is no strategy to it.. Just tell her. This is the best post to me. U make me begin to think dis is jst less of a problem. Maybe i'll jst tell her in the form of a joke and if she could join me in laughing it off, then i'll jst be the gladest man on the planet. |
life_style: easier said than done...easier said than done my broda |
cindyrella: @op cindyrella: @opif it were u, wud u forgive? Dat's the question |
omega25red: posteri am not ignorant of the change of name procedure. It's belated now. Wud hav been perfect timing some years back. |
durobraham: marry her first and then tell her. Evidence of spouses is protected by the Evidence Act if i remember correctly so she cant easily use your confession against u. Dont confess any criminal act to sum1 who doesnt have evidentiary priviledge. which kind lawyer uu be sef?i jst dont understand it wen u ask which kind lawyer i be sef? Forget those provisions in the evidence act 1st. How can i marry her without the whole pseudo name saga being unravelled? Is it possible dat my kinsmen wil go to see her kinsmen without the entire name deceit being blown open? Talking about husband and wife evidential privileges, the evidence act in section161 clearly says a husband and wife and not a would-be spouse. The case of RvsDaniel Ajiyola clearly buttresses dat. Anyway, if there's a way we can get married under such fake name pls let me know. I guess I wouldn't hav sought anybody's advise if i knew there is. U tel me how it'll be done pls. |
.. or even worse people dont even want to pay to get in, nothing is free bro!!
