Politics / Oginni Tackles Abiodun For Donating N5million, Gifts To BBN Winner by PlatformTimes: 8:27am On Oct 08
The State Chairman of NNPP who doubled as IPAC Chairman in Ogun State,Comrade Oginni Olaposi Sunday condemned in strong term the recent gesture of Gov Dapo Abiodun welcoming and showering praises on the winner of BBNaija , Laycon ..

Comrade Oginni while speaking with newsmen in Abeokuta said the action of the Governor did not come to us in New Nigeria People’s Party as a surprise because the antecedents of Gov Dapo Abiodun clearly shows that he is a man of great interest in frivolities!

"It’s saddening that Ogun State is now in the hands of men who are only capable of celebrating mediocrity and making idiotic celebrations of moral decadence!

"No one is against the personality of Laycon who by his choice and providence became a “ celebrity “ through the most popular immoral programme called BBNaija !

"However, it becomes worrisome and illogical when tax payers money are now wasted on immortality and frivolous activities!

"It’s an open secret that the Governor of Ogun State is a lover of Parties and clubbing! That is his choice of Private life! However, bringing Ogun State to the level of Promotion of immortality and social decadence at the expense of brilliant and wonderful academic achievements is condemnable!

"The New Nigeria People’s Party is hereby calling on Gov. Dapo Abiodun to tender unreserved apology to all Ogun State BEST BRAINS who were collectively insulted by this unjustifiable display of immortal rascality!

"The “ Omoluwabi’ culture of Ogun State is of Academic Excellence and Cultural Heritage of Morality not of the displayed of immortality and promotion of moral decadence!

"To the Glory of God and Benefits of Humanity.... The Ogun State Chapter of New Nigeria People’s Party is Launching a Program tagged “BBogunstate” BEST BRAIN OGUN STATE very soon to encourage our wonderful children that there’s rewards in hardwork and academic Excellence!"

Politics / Resign Now Because You Are Clueless Of Governance, Oginni Tells Gov. Abiodun by PlatformTimes: 8:54pm On Sep 16
The Ogun state chairman of New Nigeria Peoples Party, Comrade Olaposi Oginni has demanded for the resignation of the state governor, Dapo Abiodun over his inability to pay the state workers the new minimum wage.

The NNPP chairman maintained that the refusal of the state government to pay the new minimum wage to workers shows how insensitivity the Abiodun-led administration is.

He said this on Wednesday while reacting to the strike embarked by the workers of the state after the government reportedly refused to yield to their demands on minimum wage and other labour issues.

Oginni who doubled as the state chairman of Inter-Party Advisory Council noted that the strike by the workers supposed to force the governor to resign.

He insisted that the governor is not ready to serve the people of the state, stressing that Governor Abiodun’s resignation would have been the best thing for him to do.

He further said the governor reportedly traveling out of the country despite the Labour leaders' agitations revealed how unconcern he is to the plight of the people of the state.

His words, "I will advise Governor Dapo Abiodun to resign from office on the fact that the Ogun state Labour leaders and entire workers of Ogun State have passed vote of no confidence on the governor.

"As a matter of fact, the declaration of the Labour leaders that Governor Dapo Abiodun is an absentee governor is enough for the governor in a sane society to resign from office immediately.

"The past sixteen months, Ogun state has witnessed grossly incompetence at the executive level of governance in Ogun state.

"We the New Nigeria Peoples Party, we are not surprise that the Labour congress are now facing with the reality and the declaration of vote of no confidence on governor Dapo Abiodun is the fact on ground and we are leveraging on that by advising the governor and his cohorts to pack their bags and packages and leave Oke-Mosan for better people who are ready to govern the state the way it supposed to be.

"We want to say that never in the history of Ogun State as governance been reduced to ridicule, mockery and the office of the governor being insulted in the highest level of shame on Facebook; most especially by the self acclaimed aides of Governor Dapo Abiodun who are misguided, and arrogant by telling us that they look at the book and that the finances of Ogun State is not enough to pay the good workers of the state who are labouring.

"We made bold to ask governor Dapo Abiodun whether he will be able to allow his oil company to be managed by these miscreants he is using as aides in government. I also believe that the governor cannot allow his appointees to manage his oil company for just a month and these are people that he has appointed to be mangers of sophisticated state like Ogun state.

"The insensitivity of the aides of Mr governor during this crisis, to us it is a kind of an insult to our collective sensitivity that after the workers have put up a red alert of asking the governor to accede to all their demands and their was an ultimatum to that effect. One of the aides of Mr governor was at Ibadan celebrating at a lavish organised birthday party for his wives and some of his girlfriends inviting 9ice to come and play using the looted money from the coffer of Ogun State government; this is an insult and disrespect for the good workers of the state.

"The governor himself knowing fully that there was an ultimatum on ground, he did not address that he also jetted out of the country. It is very ridiculous of somebody that supposed to be a role model and good manager of human and resources of Ogun State. For the governor to have shown a sense of unconcern concerning this strike, we want to say that he has no business to be the governor of Ogun State henceforth.

"In a decent society, he supposed to put up the resignation letter that he can no longer supervise or govern the state like Ogun.

"We have seen lot of insensitivity from Governor Abiodun, he was at Aso-Rock and what we saw was a governor that was so insensitive to the plight of his people, a governor that fail to pay minimum wage is supporting the increase in fuel prices and that of electricity tarrif; where did Governor Dapo Abiodun want this workers to get the money to pay for the hike in petroleum and electricity.

"We want to say that the ploy by Dapo Abiodun to fraudulently access a 250 billion naira may be another reason why he is trying to play it down and make sure that he did not accede to the demands of the workers so that everybody will think that there is no money in the coffer of Ogun State and under that pretence, they can go to access the loan which they want to loot and siphon without doing anything for the good people of Ogun State.

"Ogun state is healthy enough financially to pay our workers, they cannot come and tell us a blatant lie by saying that they cannot pay the workers the minimum wage and therefore our workers embark in strike indefinitely and they don't want to care about the suffering of these people who are working towards the development of the state.

"The government is so shameless that they cannot pay a minimum wage that is not up to a bottle of wine they use in most of the parties they attend. A bottle of some of the wines they drink at parties is about N30, 000 minimum wage that the Ogun state workers are asking for. We want to say that this set of people are the worst assemblage of political clown that Ogun state has every had."

Oginni however said NNPP is ready to take over governance from governor Abiodun so as to take the state to the promise land.

He added, "as a matter of fact, the NNPP, we are offering our platform to help the Ogun state downtrodden citizens and the workers in the state whose successive governments in the state are making lot of promises unfulfilled.

"The New Nigeria Peoples Party, we are going to be a credible alternative, a party that will not deceive our workers, a party that will not tell them that we are omo baba teacher and at the end of the day refuse to pay minimum wage, gratuity for the teachers. We will not be a government that will come on the pretence of 419 to defraud our people.

"The NNPP in our strong opinion is in support of the action by the Labour leaders.

"NNPP is ready to take over from this clueless and insensitive governor, Dapo Abiodun. If he fails to resign, the Ogun state people know what to do in the next election."

Politics / NNPP Chair, Oginni Tackles Abiodun, Gives Ultimatum For Ogun LG Polls by PlatformTimes: 8:17pm On Sep 15
... says NNPP ready to take over Ogun from APC through LG polls

The Ogun state chairman of New Nigeria Peoples Party, Comrade Olaposi Oginni has expressed displeasure over an alleged refusal of the state government to hold Local government election one year after taking over governance.

Oginni who described the constitution of LG caretaker committee by governor Dapo Abiodun as abberation, insisted that the government must begin the process of holding the election soon.

The NNPP chairman said this on Tuesday while speaking newsmen in Abeokuta, the state capital.

Oginni who doubles as the state chairman of Inter-Party Advisory Council noted that all political parties are ready for the LG election, stressing that the governor must be ready to listen to the voice of the masses.

He emphasised that there cannot be development in the state except the Local council is properly managed by the people's representatives.

He maintained that the governor alongside the ministry of Local government and chieftancy affair should as a matter of urgency constitute the committee of the Ogun state Independent Electoral Commission so as to begin the process of holding the LG polls across the state before December.

He added, "I think we need to educate the Ogun state government and most of the aides of the governor because most of them are not aware of what the constitution says about separation of power. Most of them fail to know that what they are doing is an affront on the constitution of federal republic of Nigeria.

"I want to tell the governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun that the constitution of the caretaker committee is against the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria, it is against the separation of power. It is an aberration and it must stop forthwith.

"We think as a democrat that he claimed to be, he must know that the good people of Ogun State has the right to be represented by the people of their choice at the local level and we will not allow any governor including Dapo Abiodun to trespass on the right of our people.

"We are calling on the governor and even the ministry of local government affairs that they as a matter of urgency constitute Ogun state Independent Electoral Commission to fast track the election into the local council in Ogun state.

"Our people are tired of this imposition, they are tired of the governor suffocating the development of the local government through using his cronies as caretaker.

"There is no any development going on in all the 20 LGs in Ogun state for crying at loud. We believe development we are talking about can only come up through local government.

"I am speaking on behalf of all political parties in Ogun state that we are ready for the LG election and that the APC led government of Dapo Abiodun cannot be having free day where they will have the allocations of the local government being pocketed."

Speaking on the three-month ultimatum, the NNPP chairman vowed to take legal action against the government if they fail to hold the election in three months.

Oginni mocked the state government saying," Most of the incompetency of this government, they have always hid it under the COVID-19."

He however said the fear of being defeat is what is allegedly keeping the governor from holding the LG election in the state.

He further said, "talking about six months is a reckless statement by the commissioner for LG and chieftaincy affair. I want to tell them that Ogun state is not their company, it belongs to everyone of us, this is not a state they can run at their own time frame.

"The LG election is expected to take place this year and he has been ground standing, he has been hiding under this COVID. Most of the incompetency of this government, they have always hid it under the COVID-19.

"COVID has come and gone, they should stop parading their incompetence in the name of COVID-19.

"What they can do as a true democrat is to set up machinery for this election; we are battled ready.

" We know they are afraid of conducting any election because they know they are going to fail woefully even at the local level; Nigerians and Ogun state people are going to reject them. If they know they can win any election, let them set up the OGISEC, and let us meet in field.

"This local government is going to give him a red card that he is not popular and his party is no longer popular. If they know, let them dare us and come out fastly to conduct this local government election, we are ready for them.

" We are giving them three months or they will meet us in court. We are not going to be violent, but we are ready to ensure they do the right thing.

"We will take them to court and we believe the allocation they are embezzling will stop and then the court will rule that the election must be held."

The National Working Committe of Young Progressive Party has announced the sack of Asiwaju Ademola Adesina as the Ogun state chairman of the party..

The eleven members of NWC which signed after the congress of the party in Abuja said the leadership of the party in Ogun should return to status quo.

The NWC stressed that the appointment of Adesina as the state chairman which was facilitated by late Buruji Kashamu has now been reversed following the death of the former senator.

The NWC noted that Tolu Ajayi who was the chairman before the agreement should take over leadership in the state.

Similarly, Ajayi in a video made available to newsmen in Abekuta said the Ogun State YPP has returned to the status-quo.

The YPP chairman emphasised that all the eleven members of the National Working Committee affirmed that Ogun YPP should be taken away from the Adesina and returned immediately to the original State Executives led by Prince Tolu Ajayi .

Prince Ajayi in the video claimed that they are getting back the Party from an alleged stooge of late Kashamu because all the promises of “ OMO ILU” structures and offices for Ogun YPP is no longer visible with the sudden death of the Senator.

He explained that the the promises of Late Kashamu is the major reasons why they made huge sacrifices of their positions and authorities in the Party is now overtaken by events and time.

He however noted that YPP as a Party is not in existence because of IPAC positions.

He said, "Our letter has been duly received by the national chairman and he was happy about the development and the energy that we all have to the growth and development of our party.

" Also his attention has been taken to a blog by Oginni Olaposi that said the party was purchased by Senator Buruji Kashamu, we
stood against it; our party was not purchase.

" The national chairman did not take any money from Senator Buruji Kashamu, it was only in the interest of the growth and development of the party and entirely southwest that this action has taken place. But, God knows the best that the Senator leave the world so early, and untimely.

"So, whatever discussion and arrangement made so far is now subjected to how we can see how possible it is to match on with our party.

"What we have really sacrificed, our position is no longer existing because the person that promised to do a lot for the party is no more. To that effect, the NWC has agreed to change the situation and return back to status quo.

" The eleven members that constitute our NWC signed here and on Friday this week again in Ogun state to discuss how far we have gone.

" We would be inviting our chairman that has been sent in from Mega party by senator Buruji Kashamu to meet him over again and make him see clearly our intention and our conclusion as a party.

" Our decision is final and we are moving forward because of our party. Our party is not existing because of IPAC, or Buruji Kashamu, our party is exiting because we have bought light and open new door for the people of Ogun state."

Meanwhile, the IPAC chairman in the state, Olaposi Oginni congratulated the Leadership of YPP on the great feat of reclaimed Victory over despotism.

Oginni described the sack of Adesina as triumph of light over darkness.

The IPAC chairman however warned impostors to desist from impersonating the leadership of IPAC in the state.

" Ogun IPAC is today getting respite from impostors and political merchants. All hands are on deck to ensure that any form of political madness are nip in the bud.

"Henceforth, any one or group of people who try to impersonate the officers of Ogun State IPAC shall be dealt with according to the law of the land."

Celebrities / Is Lizzy Anjorin’s New Husband Lateef Lawal Truly Married To Five Wives? SEE SHO by PlatformTimes: 1:23pm On Aug 03
So many controversies have sorrounded the recent marriage of the richest and popular Nollywood actress, Lizzy Anjorin and her hearttrob, Lateef Adegboyega Lawal who reportedly was formery married to four wives before meeting Anjorin.

Without mincing word, it is obvious that such allegation coming out after the wedding showed that it is a hidden agenda by some enemies of Anjorin who does not wish her well in her new home. It is worth asking why these are just coming up despite Anjorin being in a relationship with Lawal for over 14 years.

This report has brought some shocking revalations sorrounding the marriage between the humble business man, Lawal and rich actress, Anjorin.

1. Investigations have shown that those women who claimed to have been married to Lawal were lying because there was no legal agreement between them. Truly, Lawal had children from three different women, but none of them were married to him. In fact, findings revealed that Lawal is even questioning the legitimate of those children. Hence, those women cannot be classified as his wives, but baby mamas who gave birth out wedlock and who have not proven that those kids truly belong to Lawal.

2. Findings also revealed that Lawal through his lawyer asked the woman to take those children for DNA tests, but they have refused to go to the lawyer to get the N500,000 and form meant for DNAs. It was gathered that since the DNAs issue came up, the three women in this scandal have gone hidden as they refuse to pick their calls or show face at Lawal's lawyer office.

3. The fourth lady mentioned in the said scandal, Temitope Toba with muslim name Mariam was a niece to Lawal and not one of his baby mamas. It was even gathered that Temitope who they claimed to be Kenny in the allegation was heavily pregnant and she is already facing problem at her matrimonial home because of the allegation that was never the true thing.

4. Lizzy Anjorin did not snatch anybod's husband because she was the only legal wife of Lawal. Anjorin was the only woman Lawal took to registry, all that have been circulating is fake news without no iota of truth. Findings revealed that Lawal was ever legally married to anyone not to talk of divircing anyoone. It is only Lizzy he has married even though he has three baby mamas which he accepted to take care of them because of the children involved.

5. Lawal has invested a lot in Lizzy for over 14 years ago. He has spent on lizzy career and her welfare. It is not like Lawal is leaving his family because of Lizzy's wealth; he has been Lizzy number one fans even when she never believe she will get to this point. He has been supportive and invested his time, love, money in the relationship. They have been together for long. He has bought countless numbers of cars for lizzy. Lizzy is a graduate

6. Lizzy has survived so many harrsments and attacks just because of the love she has for Lawal and despite that she did not leave Lawal for any of her competitors. This shows that the love between the duo is genuie and true which cannot be broken in the premises of rumour.

7. His baby mamas have been taking advantage of him because of gentility and humility. He did not get married to them because those baby mamas did not love him, but his money.

8. Lizzy has been loyal and honest to Lawal in the last 14 years and that is why Lawal decided to get married to her despite all the controversies.

From these, it is a aclear term that those against the success of Lizzy Anjorin are behind the rumour circulating. It was gathered the Anjorin's rival teamed up with the baby mamas so they can destroy the marriage of Anjorin.

"The aides of Gov Dapo Abiodun needed to know that Covid 19 is war needed to be fought and won without discrimination.

"The discrimination in the testing and payment of Bill for Covid 19 by Public and Private Schools make nonsense of the whole exercise.

"We hereby implore the Governor of Ogun State not to allow charlatans in his cabinet to set him up on collision with the public.

"I have repeatedly warned the Governor and his aides to think outside the box in the approach and strategies to combat the dreaded virus to no avail.

"However , the Government of NNPP if we are the one in Government would have made the Covid 19 Test free for every student and every teacher!

"The Government was silent on who pays for private schools teachers Covid 19 Test?

"We are using this medium to educate the Government agents flying this inglorious business kite , that it's wrong to make business out of health issues most especially a pandemic.

"We hereby appeal to the good people of Ogun State most especially Parents to remain calm with the hope that the Governor will see reason to abolish the obnoxious policy.

"Lastly, we are reiterating our earlier call on the Governor to make public the billions of Naira received as donations on Covid 19 from individuals, private organizations, corporate bodies and International Groups.

"It's the primary responsibility of Government to combat the pandemic without unnecessarily putting the burden on already economically battered parents. The act of asking Parents who were on lockdown for months without palliatives to start looking for money to pay for the Covid 19 Test is too bad!".

Politics / Weekend Lockdown In Ogun: NNPP Mocks Abiodun, Says He Has Run Out Of Ideas by PlatformTimes: 5:49pm On Jul 20
NNPP mocks Abiodun, says continious weekend lockdown in Ogun shows governor has run out of ideas

An Opposition party in Ogun state, New Nigeria People's Party has tackled the state Governor, Dapo Abiodun over the continuous weekend lockdown in the state despite relaxing the week days lockdown.

The opposition party insisted that the continuous weekend lockdown in the state is baseless with no justification.

The state chairman of NNPP, Olaposi Oginni while speaking with newsmen on Monday maintained that the continuous weekend showed that the state government lack ideas on how to tackle the pandemic that is spreading across the state.

Oginni stressed that the continuous weekend lockdown show that the government is not concern about the economic loss of the state.

He noted that there is need for the state government to find an alternative strategy to combat the pandemic in the state.

He further said, "it is our belief that the continuous weekend lockdown by Governor Dapo Abiodun clearly shows that the government has run out of ideas. Because Lagos state is the epicenter of COVID-19, while even at the Federal Capital that is also in the epicenter of COVID-19 in Nigeria, they have ease lockdown looking for alternative.

"Governor of Lagos state has shown a kind of a class, thinking outside the box to look at how better to combat this dreadful pandemic. But, it is unfortunate that in Ogun state, the continue lockdown that is annoying shows that even the government do not care about the economic loss of the state.

"He need to look at the way out, thinking out of box and look at alternative on how to combat the disease if truly with the all the figures they are parading for us.

"We have discovered from our own findings that most of these isolation centres are not even in existence, no testing centres, where are they getting all those results; let them tell us how they are getting and generating these results. We learnt that the Ikenne has been shut down, the most publicised Ikenne Isolation centre is not working.

"We cannot continue with this and we want to tell him that he should stop locking the people of Ogun state down every weekend, he should look for alternative.

"We are going to tell everybody that concerned in this country to talk to him to sit down and think outside the box. If those of his people are short of ideas,we are ready to offer them alternative. If they don't know what to do with government, New Nigeria People's Party as a political party that is ready to take over government can tell them what to do."

Oginni however asked the governor to publish all the funds spent to combat COVID-19 so that the people can be aware.

He added, "We want to say it loud and clear that the Governor is yet to come out in clear term what he really want to achieve within two months of lockdown or whatever; how much he has received so far is yet to be published; how much he has spent so far is yet to be published.

"We as stakeholders in this state, we are asking Governor Dapo Abiodun to make public all the spending and all accounts concerning this COVID-19. As far as we are concerned, Governor Dapo Abiodun ans his COVID circle have been ripping us out of this COVID-19 taking it to COVID-419 because the economic of our state is suffering. And a governor that is not concern about what is happening to his people is not even fit to be a governor to be there."

Business / Why NDIC Should Engage In More Communication Strategies During Pandemic, by PlatformTimes: 9:51am On Jul 20
The Deputy Managing Director of THISDAY, Kayode Komolafe has urged the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation to engage in more communication strategies during the COVID-19 period so as to be able to reach their targeted audience.

The DMD made this charge during a webinar presentation  on “The Impact of COVID-19 on Effective Corporate Communication and Public Awareness in the NDIC".

Komolafe who was the guest speaker at the webinar noted that the NDIC must understand  and adapt with the new normal.

He  explained that COVID-19 has created its own word and phrases and the NDIC must learn how to use such words as a tool in strategic communication

He suggested that there must be humanising the messaging, less use of technical jargons and improving the activities on the NDIC Website.

He added, "ordinarily, reputation management is a delicate corporate task.  This reality is made more problematic  in a period of  pandemic.

"So, external communication  and general  image projection through virtual relationship with the media require extra caution on the part of not only the corporate affairs department, but also all  members of staff as ambassadors. After all, whatever messaging is put out to the public during the crisis would remain permanent official message of the NDIC.

"The fact that this is crisis period would not be a valid excuse in the event of  legal issues triggered  by the message.

"Beyond that, the culture of effective virtual communication developed during this crisis would be useful during the post-COVID-!9 era because  things may  never be the same again in all aspects of life."

He added, “We are imploring all citizen not to vote for Obaseki so that we will not continue to live in life od deceit and lie. We need to vote for conscience and Pastor Ize Iyamu is the person that can deliver us from this man (Obaseki).”

“We also call for the completion of all road projects abandoned by the last administration recognising the fact that Governance is a continuous process."

The group also called for even distributions of developmental projects across the three senatorial districts in the state.

He further said, “In the same vein, even distributions of developmental projects across the 3 senatorial Districts should be religiously adhere to without sentiments.

“Conclusively, we are charging Ogun State House of Assembly to be alive to their oversight functions. Every Member of the House must ensure that every Constituency benefited from developmental projects associated with the N250Billion Naira Loan.

“Recognising the fact that this N250 Billion Naira Loan is higher than the total sum of the loan got by the previous administrations of Aremo Olusegun Osoba, Otunba Gbenga Daniel and Senator Ibikunle Amosun in the span of 20 years, we are therefore demanding monthly publication of Ogun State Financial Transaction in at least 3 Major Newspapers by the Ministry of Finance."

Politics / You Are Destroyers, Stay Clear Of Labour Party, Bode Simeon Warns Kashamu by PlatformTimes: 2:06pm On Jun 10
...Your claim is unintelligent, Kashamu, Arabambi fire back

Oluwatobi Odeyinka

The national Vice chairman, southwest of Labour Party, Olabode Simeon, has warned the duo of Buruji Kashamu, a member of the People's Democratic Party, and Abayomi Arabambi, an embattled chairman of LP in Ogun, to stay away from the Labour party.

Simeon issued the warning while speaking with newsmen in Abeokuta.

He said the duo are party destroyers and pleaded with members of the public not to interact with any of them as members of the party.

His words, "I want to tell the people of Ogun state that Arabambi Abayomi Oluwafemi has been pronounced persona non grata in Ogun Labour party. Arabambi has been removed from his ward, LG and the state executive of the party. People dealing with Abayomi Oluwafemi are on their own because he is not known in labour party as a member or party chairman in Ogun state.

"We want to appeal to the good people of Ogun state and to tell Prince Buruji Kashamu to stay clear of Ogun state. Prince Buruji Kashamu and Abayomi Oluwafemi are bird of the same feather; they are the same thing. We don’t want Buruji Kashamu to come and destroy Labour party as he destroys PDP."

Simeon pleaded with former governor, Gbenga Daniel to warn Kashamu against interfering in the affairs of Labour Party.

He also apologized to the PDP chairman in the state, Bayo Dayo for insults hauled on him by Arabambi

He added, "All Arabambi have been saying against the prominent people in Ogun state are not from Labour party. This is what we are trying to tell the people of Ogun state that whatever you hear from Arabambi is not from the party, but his personal statement. He has been removed as the chairman and so he has no right to talk on behalf of the party.

"We are using this medium to apologise to our comrade, Niyi Osoba and the amiable chairman of PDP who we still know and recognize as the authentic chairman now, Engr. Bayo Dayo. We are appealing to our elders in the state like the former governors, OGD, Amosun to talk to Prince Buruji Kashamu to leave Labour party alone, he should let Labour party be on its own."

Meanwhile, Kashamu while reacting maintained that he has no business with Simeon or Labour Party.

The PDP chieftain in a statement by his media adviser, Austin Oniyokor, which was sent to PLATFORM TIMES advised Simeon not to drag Kashamu into LP's intra party matter.

The statement reads partly, "distinguished Senator Buruji Kashamu does not have any business with Mr. Bode Simeon or even the Labour Party in Ogun State.

"If Mr. Simeon has any issues with his party and other stakeholders, he should go and address them. He should not drag Senator Kashamu into LP's intra-party issues.

"If Comrade Arabambi is the reason for his unwarranted attack, then he is gravely mistaken because Comrade Arabambi is an adult, a man and rational being who can take decisions for himself.

"On his involvement in the Ogun State PDP issue, Comrade Arabambi has said severally that he was invited by the former Chairman of the PDP in Ogun State, Chief Adebayo Dayo, to mediate in the matter as the immediate past Chairman of Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC).

"It was when he saw Chief Dayo's insincerity to the course he had invited him to mediate in that they fell apart.

"So, what is Senator Kashamu's business with that, the Labour Party or even Mr. Simeon? If he (Mr. Simeon) has any issues with his party, he should go and face.

"If it is Senator Kashamu that he has an undisclosed issue with, he should come straight instead of catching in on a non-issue to cast aspersion on him. We refuse to descend into the arena with Mr. Simeon"

In his reaction, Arabambi described his alleged removal as state chairman as fake and untrue.

He described Bode Simeon as a disloyal and dishonest party man who has allegedly involve in political frauds.

He noted that the claim that Buruji Kashamu want to destroy Labour Party is an unintelligent claim.

He said, "to the comments he made in an online published video in regards to me in my capacity as the State Chairman of LP in Ogun State. To confirm his lack of knowledge on the constitutional provisions of the LP he ignorantly went ahead to claim that a State Chairman of LP was actually and truly removed by a couple of ward officers. This is coming from a man who claimed to be the South West Chairman of the same party.

"Just to point out a part of his video shame , he claimed that Buruji Kasham is troubling LP Ogun State and he was in his ignorance warning Buruji Kasham off Labour Party. The question is what proof does the he have to support this his very unintelligent claim ?.

"Ogun LP is not in anyway having any issue , how on earth does the ranting , paid and bought political mercenary , the ever - purchasable Bode Simeon come to be talking of warning someone off such a peaceful and highly cohesive party ? .

"The public and the press should find it easy to recollect all the acts of disloyalty and the very many dishonest involvements of Bode Simeon in his very short stay as the the Acting SW Chairman of LP that included his failed attempts to impose some PDP members on the party in some SW states that earned monumental disgrace.

"This silly and stupid video misadventure has unambiguously confirmed that he is once more playing the game he knows how best to play , his natural shameful tendency to serve any payer in any role.

"This is a clear indication that someone somewhere is paying for this risk he took by his criminal impersonation. By apologising Niyi Osoba , Ladi Adebutu and Elder Akinhanmi who are in a dispute with Senator Buruji Kashamu comes from where , when even his ex party LP is not in any way in any dispute with the trio.

"I am here , though very reluctantly advising Bode Simeon , to disabuse his mind of the possibility of attracting the attention of Buruji Kashamu with this infantile and unintelligently put together video ranting."

Politics / Kashamu Collected Money From APC To Sabotage Pdp's Efforts In Ogun Guber Electi by PlatformTimes: 11:59am On Jun 06
Oluwatobi Odeyinka

The chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Bayo Dayo, has alleged that former governorship aspirant, Senator Buruji Kashamu collected money from the All Progressive Congress and other parties in the last election, despite parading himself as the governorship candidate of the PDP.

Dayo said this on Friday, when fielding questions from journalists who asked about his sore relationship with Senator Kashamu.

Recall that the PDP in the state did not approve of Kashamu's candidacy in the election, but endorsed former House of Representatives member, Ladi Adebutu as the party's candidate.

Dayo alleges that Kashamu sabotaged the party's efforts in securing the top seat in the state.

He said, "People have been telling me that he was not in the election; five days ago that my ward chairman told me that did I know that shortly before the election, Buruji Kashamu called all that chairmen in ijebu igbo, and he telephone an APC candidate and he told the chairman to talk to the candidate. They all spoke with the candidate and the candidate told them to work for him,

"How can you be contesting to be a governor in one party, and be calling another candidate that you have people that will be working for him and you are talking money from that candidate.

"Buruji kashamu collected money from APC leader I don't want to mention his name because he is a leader of repute, he collected 400 million, from him . According to information we got, I was not there and I don't want to mention the name because he is a leader , a leader of repute and I don't want to damage his name. He (Kashamu) was collecting money from left right and centre."

Dayo alleged that Kashamu was in politics because of money, arguing that the latter was a criminal not worthy of being a senator.

He said Kashamu was an accidental lawmaker, who had no academic qualification and had criminal records

Politics / Withdraw Illegal Police Escort From 'rapist Engr' Bayo Dayo, Senator Kashamu Pe by PlatformTimes: 2:42pm On May 24
A former senator representing Ogun East, Buruji Kashamu has
asked the commissioner of Police in Ogun state, Kenneth Embrimson to withdraw all illegal police escort attached to the former state chairman of People's Democratic Party.

Kashamu in a petition written to the Commissioner insisted that Bayo Dayo did not meet the basic requirement for the attachment of police escort.

The PDP chieftain described Dayo as a criminal saying, "history and facts have shown that crime and criminalities run in Dayo’s family. Engr. Dayo’s father was popularly known as “Baba Fadiya” which is an euphemism for a rapist. He was known for committing incest and defiling underage girls. Both Chief Dayo and his son, Bola have inherited the same criminal tendencies which are manifesting in various ways such as stealing, betrayal and fraudulent conversion of other people’s properties to theirs.

"It has also been brought to my attention that four armed policemen have been attached to Engr. Dayo and he goes about our community in Ijebu-Igbo and its environs terrorising the people under the protection of the policemen.

"He is boasting and telling anyone who cares to listen that he has paid the authorities to keep the policemen with him for as long as he wants and that anyone who crosses his path will be severely dealt with by his armed policemen.

"According to the Police Act, Engr. Dayo is neither a Very Important Personality (VIP) nor is he a public or political office holder. He is also not business entrepreneur, a multi-national organisation or corporate individual or entity. Therefore, he does not meet the basic requirement for the attachment of police escorts.

"He claims that upon his application for police escorts, the Adebutus intervened and helped him to sort it. I do not know how far true this is. Hon. Ladi Adebutu told his political associates that Engr. Dayo’s application for Policemen was refused. But, he (Adebutu) had to give Dayo four policemen from the ones attached to their family and/or businesses. This is clearly an illegal act and abuse of privilege that should not be condoned and allowed to continue.

"You may wish to use your good offices to investigate how he got the Police escorts attached to a killer that can cause problem and endanger the lives of the innocent policemen.

"The truth is Engr. Dayo’s claim that his life is under threat is nothing more than a smokescreen meant to divert attention and conceal the fact he is the one threatening to harm and kill people.

The former senator also cried out to the Ogun state police over an alleged threat to life by Bayo Dayo, a former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state.

He complained that Bayo Dayo had personally threatened to kill him either in Lagos or whenever he step his feet Into his home town in Ijebu-Igbo.

He alleged that it became necessary to raise concern following the antecedent of the former PDP chairman.

The PDP chieftain also expressed concern that many PDP leaders have been living in fear over the alleged threat.

He added that the PDP leaders including himself have been receiving several threat messages from unknown numbers.

His petition reads partly, "following the suspension of Engr. Dayo as State Chairman, many leaders and elders of the PDP in Ogun State and members of the State Working Committee/State Executive Committee have been living in fear of being attacked.

"Some of us have been seeing strange faces and unregistered vehicles trailing us lately. At other times, we get strange calls from unknown numbers, warning us to be careful or else we would be dealt with.

"Since they could not have their way, credible information at my disposal shows that Engr. Dayo and his allies have been threatening to attack us either directly or by proxies.

"Although Engr. Dayo had personally threatened to kill me either in Lagos or whenever I step my feet into my home town in Ijebu-Igbo, I never took it to heart until I remembered that a fellow party member, Samuel Olayinka Soneye had warned me to beware of Engr. Dayo because of his murderous antecedents.

"Soneye told me of how Engr. Dayo personally shot and killed one Titilayo Poroye during his fight to become the traditional ruler of Japara, Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State.

"A reprisal attack that followed, I was further informed, led to the death of Engr. J. Ola Oduyemi and Olola Ogunnaike. When dust settled on the brawl, three people had been killed. Kindly refer once more to Soneye’s voluntary statement referenced above

"I am also aware that Engr. Dayo has threatened to kill a certain Rasaq Bakare, who worked closely with his son for seven years, if he dared to reveal all that his son, Bola, had acquired with the monies he stole from me.

"Engr. Dayo is always armed with pump action and other rifles that he keeps in his house in Japara, Ijebu-Igbo and its environs. He keeps the guns under the guise of being a hunter. But, we all know the kind of guns that hunters should have and even at that they should obtain licence for them.

"It was one of his many guns that he used to kill one Titilayo Poroye in broad-day light as revealed in the Soneye’s statement.

"History and facts have shown that crime and criminalities run in Dayo’s family.

"All the above witnesses have sworn to affidavits and made statements to the Police. They are willing to testify in court and support the law enforcement agencies in their investigations.

"Further to his desperate moves, Engr. Dayo has gone diabolical. He goes from the house one juju man to the other mentioning my name and mother’s name to juju men in Japara, Ijebu-Igbo. He wants them to kill me through diabolical means. Two of the juju men that he has gone to are Ifa Sunday and Landlord. This was confirmed to me by Olayinka Soneye (a.k.a Sugar) and other people in Ijebu-Igbo.

"I humbly urge the security agencies to invite these juju men for justice. In the alternative, Soneye can take them to their houses. I stand on the power of Almighty Allah sub hanna wata ala for protection and safety."

Speaking on the petition written by Bayo Dayo against him, Kashamu said, "what is clearly an afterthought and a belated counter-move meant to divert attention from the weighty allegations against him, he told people that he has written petitions to the Ogun State Command of the State Security Service (SSS), alleging threat to his life, and that he would teach me the lesson of a life time.

"He has now made good his threats through the petitions written by his lawyer, Chief Adebiyi Odugbesan, who is also my lawyer. He confirmed to me that he has written petitions to the Inspector-General of Police, Director-General of the State Security Service and the Ogun State Command of DSS. But, I told him that his action was unethical because he knows the truth of the whole matter. I reported Engr. Dayo to him (Chief Adebiyi Odugbesan) and told him all that he has done. Upon hearing my account of the whole matter, he condemned Engr. Dayo for his actions.

"He want to use the petitions to protect himself and cover his criminal antecedents and actions as a case of alibi in order to assassinate me.

"You may wish to call for the statement he made to the Police at the Divisional Police Office in Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State in order to identify the missing links and his belated moves and after In spite of all these, the suspended Chairman and his co-travellers have been meeting and purportedly taking decisions on behalf of the State Working Committee/State Executive Committee whereas by a letter dated 3rd of March, 2020, to the law firm representing the Ogun State PDP Executive, Engr. Dayo himself listed the authentic members of the State Working Committee.

"This is a clear case of deceit, impersonation and forgery meant to cause confusion and mislead unsuspecting members of the public

"All these usurpers should be invited and questioned on why they are impersonating the real members of the Ogun State Working Committee of the PDP.

"They have also been going about saying the Ward, Local Government and State congresses never held when they are in no position to make such declaration. Nothing could be further from the truth, as the Ward, Local Government and State Congresses were held on the 7th of March, 2020, 21st of March, 2020 and 3rd of April, 2020 respectively.

"Their outlandish claim is meant to prepare the grounds for their planned invasion of the state party secretariat on IBB Boulevard, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, with armed thugs and hoodlums who will maim and kill innocent party members, workers and officials.

"I wish to respectfully urge you to confront them with all these evidence and asked why he and others are carrying out acts of impersonating and fraud with intent to cause chaos in Ogun State. Failure to offer satisfactory justification should make them to be prosecuted for conspiracy, fraud, impersonation and conduct likely to cause a breach of public peace accordingly."

The PDP stalwart concluded saying, "it is in the light of the above that we wish to respectfully urge you to use your good offices to invite Engr. Dayo and their cohorts, investigate the allegations against them and if found culpable, charge them to court for impersonation, forgery, threats to life and acts capable of breaching public peace.

"They should also be made to give an undertaking not to attack party officials, leaders and members after the lock down, just as they stay clear of the Party Secretariat until they purge themselves of violent tendencies.

"Kindly note that the DSS has been directed by the Federal High Court in Abeokuta to maintain status quo antebellum (i.e. to maintain the situation of things before the matter was brought to court which is the emergence of the Hon. Samson Bamgbose-led new Ogun State PDP Executive).

"Specifically, the court, on the 24th of April, 2020, ordered in Suit FHC/AB/CS/44/2020 that, “…the parties shall respect the principle of lis pendens and maintain status quo antebellum pending the hearing and determination of the Applicants’ Motion on Notice which is already filed before this court.” (ANNEXURE 23).

"Therefore, the DSS has a duty to ensure that parties comply with the orders of the court and not allow anyone to resort to self-help until the determination of the matter in court.

"While I trust that you will treat this petition with the urgency and the best professional attention that it deserves, kindly accept the assurances of my highest regards, always."

Politics / Lockdown : Gov.abiodun Should Prosecute Top Aides Who Disregard Ncdc Protocols by PlatformTimes: 11:07am On May 17
The Chairman League of Registered Political Parties in Ogun State Comrade Oginni Olaposi has called on Gov. Dapo Abiodun to discipline all high ranking Government Officials who were allegedly involved in the invitation of hundreds of APC Party faithful to the Governor's Office Okemosan, Abeokuta on Monday and Wednesday of this week on the pretense of the distributions of Relief Packages.

The Chairman disclosed this in a press release issued on Saturday night in Abeokuta the state capital.

In his words, "It is highly disturbing that the Ogun State Government through some of its high ranking Officers broke the Nigeria Centre for Disease and Control Protocols by bringing hundreds of party faithfuls to the Governor's Office Abeokuta for Palliative meeting.

" The show of shame at the Oba's Complex during the week clearly shows that Gov. Dapo Abiodun's Government is only paying a lip service to the war against Covid-19 . How can anyone explained the gathering of selected politicians from different Local Governments during this Lockdown? How can one explained that the unlawful gathering later degenerated into fiasco that led to blood bath?

"The information at Our disposal Confirmed that a group of misguided politicians who claimed loyalty to one of Governor's aides- Hon. Biyi Adeleye from Remo North pounced on Mr.Benjamin Bada and wounded him Seriously.

"In the same animalistic manner, these miscreants also descended on one Mrs Motunrayo Olawore with heavy beatings and dirty slaps.
Is it not disgraceful that all these aforementioned ugly incidents happened during this Lockdown Era at the Premises of Governor's Office, Okemosan, Abeokuta".

" It is therefore laughable that a Government who is constantly pretending to be fighting Corona virus war by Locking down the entire states for an unbrokenly 7 Weeks running is at the same time organising programmes to bring Politicians to okemosan in their hundreds to receive a paltry #2,500 - Palliative Envelopes with outright disregard to the NCDC Protocols on social distancing and social gathering".

" It therefore become pertinent to warn the Ogun State Government that double standard in the prosecution of the war against this pandemic will be disastrous".

"The bringing together of APC party faithfuls from various Local Government Areas made nonsense of the Government's Covid 19 fight without any gainsaying".

"The unnecessary arrogance and impunity openly displayed by the Top Aides of His Excellency makes the Covid-19 fight by Gov. Dapo Abioduns Gorvement a mere charade".

"Recognising the fact that anybody coming to equity must come with clean hands , we hereby call on The Ogun State House of Assembly and Governor Dapo Abiodun to order the arrest and prosecution of the trio of The Chief of Staff,Mr Salisu Shuaib, the SSA to the Governor on politics, Hon. Tunji Egbetokun and the SA to the Governor on Government House, Hon. Tunde Olaotan to serve as deterrent to others. After all, a renowned Actress, Funke Akindele was prosecuted and convicted for an ordinary birthday party in her sitting room. We therefore see no reason why those saddled with responsibilities to protect lives and properties as aides of Mr. Governor shouldn't have double punishment for violations of social distance and social gathering orders".

" Realising that Leadership should be by example, a bad precedent by highly ranking Ogun State Government officials shows arrogance that they are all above the laws of the land most especially the NCDC protocols on the containment of Covid 19" he said.

"The Leadership of the NURTW at all levels especially the National President who is an illustrious son of Ogun State are in support & will continue to support His Excellency to jointly build Ogun State. Because, we belief that Igbega Ipinle Ogun, Ajumose gbogbo wa ni'.

"The elections into the various offices at Ogun State Council of the union were held on 12/12/2019. after the prayer of those who were afraid of Democratic process was not granted by Lordship Hounarable Justice O A Onafowokan Judge of Ogun State Nigeria Abeokuta judiciary division Court 4 holden at Abeokuta on 5/10/2019.

"But, when the task force got to my church, we were not holding any service contrary to the intelligence report they claimed to have received. The task force met me, my wife who just lost a child and three close relatives in the church premises and none of us were putting on our usual white garment because we don’t have intention of holding service.

"We were embarrassed, whisked away and taken to the task force office around Agbeoloba area of Abeokuta in the state.

"We were questioned and after they discovered that most of what happened were just a propaganda and tactics by some of the enemies in my community that don’t want the existence of the church in the area, the Police task force released me alongside the other people that were arrested with me."
