Viagra (Sidenafil citrate) is used in the treatment of erectile dysfunction, a condition where a man finds it difficult to have or sustain adequate penile erection for penetration during love-making. It has been so popularized that even men who don't need it also take it just to satisfy their women. Actually majority of people taking Viagra may not really need it. What they need is couple's pleasure therapy. Viagra is not useful for healthy men who don't have problems with having and sustaining erection for 3-7 minutes. (If you don't have orgasm as a woman, it is not necessarily because your husband doesn't last more than the above 3-7 minutes. Only about 25% of women will have orgasms from just penetration. Sex is more than penetration.) Besides, Viagra has very serious (though rare) side effects like -- blindness, --'permanent' erection (priapism) that can destroy the penis permanently if not treated within 4 hours --hearing problems --If taken with some other medications like nitrate-containing drug, it can drop the blood pressure to dangerous levels. Make sure your hubby has been evaluated by his doctor and considered fit to use Viagra. Avoid it totally if any symptoms has occurred previously after taking it, or if he already has good erection lasting 3-7minutes of penetration. You can deal with the real underlying issues of pains, anxieties, lack of orgasm and intimacy problems with talk therapy rather than insisting on Viagra.
