This is sad. You ought to have ditched them for another less stressful uni. You shouldn't have allowed it to take precedence over your job now.

Nigerian Universities unnecessarily make life hard for students. They need to do away with that backward mentality of suffering before you get it. It doesn't make the certificate any more prestigious.

I learnt the hard way. First and second semester I took so many permissions at work, sometimes during break at work I'll tell someone to cover for me to attend a 2-hour class etc. Laters colleagues started sabotaging and pushed an issue that arise on me to make my absence obvious (office politics).

At school, classmate thinks am working, making things uneasy to prove a point about them having to resign so you must resign to have a smooth ride. Things go on in school in the absence of which they won't include you (you lose marks).

At home. I was trying to pay rent, pay school fees, satisfy family members, plan a way to eat well as work demands food and if I skip a meal for just 3 days I'll be lean because I work in a chemical company, so many hazards, jumping transport, (trekking / trekking etc) ... Gosh, my nightmare..

Personally, I started befriending a lady just to get info on what was happening in class. You ask me if I'm in love? I wasn't even interested in any relationship but that is just what I have to do. If I ask other classmates about class, they will either lie or say nothing is happening that is significant to my grade (big lie, these people are setting me up to fail, so many assignments to turn in). My girlfriend gives me all the info.

I survived the first and second semesters. In the third semester my Supervisor wants me in school all day, you in the lab or not in the lab. She doesn't care if you are working or not. Later it dawned on me that if I don't comply she will fail me for the seminar and project.

Meanwhile, at work, they are going to shortlist people for sacking to reduce production cost and my name keeps appearing due to permissions and complaints.

The white man sacked me and gave me the option to resign voluntarily instead of sacking me. I chose resign.


Thank God I have saved enough.

The only way America can fall is if the other country stops using the dollar as the main exchange currency which is used worldwide as you can see Petrodollar. It's not about ABU. It's a general Nigerian school problem.

The stress you passed through can't be half of what I went through while doing UI Masters. I even lost my job while at it because at UI, they won't allow you work doing their Academic Masters. Did I say Academic Masters? UI treat all their programmes like Undergraduate.

As a man you should be thinking of retirement and saving 50% of your income is advisable and a better advise is also to save 25% in a currency which as potential of not depreciating fast then invest other 25% probably in stock market or trade with it. Take in another Black man who knows SOP and R and D then bring in few expatriate sack the black man again, let the new expatriates to head a department or send to other branch. Go to these companies a black manager don't spend more than 6 months while the Black Supervisors Slaves there. Sometimes Black Supervisors get sacked because they get increment, so they find people who will take peanut again. Guys i have a question; I usually hear that women are very good at hiding the different men that they're seeing from each other, how true is that? I ask this because there's this lady I'm in a "relationship" with, I have evidence that she's seeing other people, I have even seen a dirty chat of her and someone she claimed is just a friend in the past, stopped talking to her,she begged me n after sometime started seeing her again. As a result of that I decided that I won't fully commit myself to the "ship" cos I'm not the only person in her life. So she basically carries the whole thing.
