.. even after Alex Ferguson left man UTD in 2013 ...12 years ago..at least by now man UTD should be showing some gradual improvement in their football matches.. there is no gradual improvement...at least by now man UTD should be always be among the top 4 at the end of the season in EPL,.but last season they ended in 16th position which was very bad and could not even beat Tottenham Hotspur in the europa league final into to use to qualify for the champions league .at least by now they should had been a gradual improvement in man UTD but no improvement yet
and that why we won today have being watching the game great improvement, at this pace this season top 4 is certain

Just imagine🤣🤣
So it is 200 or 500 that will be used to maintain the stadium and pay staff and players🤣
No wonder people dont invest in sport here.
Match ticket nor supposed be less than 5k.
But how many Nigerians can afford 5k to watch match
500 multiply by 15k people is 7.5m for a match day, places like remo stars charge 1k multiply by 10k that 10m cool, you cant say 5k for match ticket just like that, abroad that 5k comes with certain pre match and after match entertainment. try and watch padded seat they visit staduims and tell you what on offer for that ticket in teams of hospitality and all

Nigeria as a country is not poor but the citizens are poor
People go to those stadiums in south America cos they can afford it.
If Nigeria is playing match in that Akwa ibom stadium today, if the govt dont make the ticket almost free, u wont see anybody in that stadium.
Lets our govt use our resources for our good instead of building flyovers, ICC, etc just to embezzle the money
you wrong on that one i watch MFM games agege stadium when they where still in the NPFL and ticket was 500 to 200 this was like 3season back and the stadium was always full. as i said its the mindset once you create a brand draw attraction people will come people more to watch epl matches in nigeria

OredoPikin2:
Nigerians are poor. Nobody can afford 10k ticket comfortably. State govt should concentrate in solving poverty issues let fed govt build stadium.
Simple
When Nigerians are comfortable, then private sectors can now come in and start investing in stadiums and clubs.
Nobody starts from up. U start from bottom.
Nigeria can only develop if we recognise and solve our real issues
Nigeria will never develop if we leave the real issue and start building elephant projects
this country is not as poor as many south american countries argentina were begging for a bailout from US yet go check out the turnout of river plate games stadia is pack full in and out of the stadium very neat. the problem is maintenance culture which we all lack, most public properties are misused not everything is based on poverty. mind set very important.

..you said when man UTD was a dominant force in EPL smaller clubs were not financially bouyant
But now that the smaller clubs are financially bouyant that is why man UTD are not dominant force in the EPL and that is why they are struggling..but since these smaller clubs have been financially bouyant..but Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester city have been dominating EPL and winning EPL title since from 2014 to 2025....man city won EPL title consecutively 4 times in a row even with small clubs financially bouyant
apart from Liverpool the rest you mentioned use to be a small club, Chelsea resurgence started after 2004 and mancity more recently. late 90s to mid 2000s the battle was always between manutd and arsenal

Stadium doesn't generate employment in Nigeria and doesnt generate revenue.
This is not Anfield or camp nou.
Akwa ibom govt even budget money to maintain that stadium annually. Which is not supposed to be so
they can be the first to make the stadium start generating income, another reason why nigerian cant develop is this mindset of yours

Anambra was then battling poverty, insecurity, lack of education, high rate of employment.
He should have left those to start building stadium like Umahi did by building flyovers and airport that his people doesn't need?
Govt is about understanding the need of the people and solving it. Thats what govt is. Not building elephant projects.
Umahi airport today is now been used for church service😂 it is now a big liability to the state
Imagine he invested that money in agriculture, imagine the numbers of ebonyi people that he would have lifted from poverty.
the you know the level of employment it will generate both before, during and after the project. poverty is everywhere. not building certain things or building wont end it

Which was the cost over ten years ago. Inflation and changes in standards means cost has increased

Also, state budgets are all planned out. Even assuming Anambra spent 97m dollars which is 142 billion naira, the money has to be replaced meaning loans again.
all you saying does not justify why a stadium of at least 20 to 25k capacity should not be built in anambra

A fifa standard stadium will cost over 250 million dollars

That's around 367 billion naira. This year, Anambra is spending 607 billion naira ....on budget

So, the state should take half its budget and spend it on stadium?

Forget politics abeg.
$96m was use to build uyo stadium, anambra dont need an elaborate stadium, those stadium i mention non is up to 25k capacity which is very bad for a state of that size

He didnt build stadium cos Anambra doesnt need stadium at that time.
seriouly no good stadium in anambra, the best one was built by ifeanyi mba, the awka city stadium capacity is too small. all this stadium are too small and can not host CAF tournament talkless of a FIFA

I created many threads about electric and CNG vehicles, but people kept coming to say that they were impossible in Nigeria.

Today many states are deploying electric and CNG buses.

Today many companies are deploying electric and CNG taxis.

Today many large companies like Dangote are deploying CNG and electric vehicles for their operations.

And the people that said that it was impossible have vanished.
nigerians dont like change, they are very rigid with their scope of thinking

..but man UTD have the money to buy quality players...they are one of the richest clubs in the world...but they like buying average players..the only quality players in man UTD is Bruno Fernandes, Bryna Mbeumo others are average players
you did not understand the area of riches of clubs, what i mean is back when man utd was a dominant force the smaller clubs were not buoyant financial Portsmouth went into administration in the premier league the now a club like Newcastle can battle with any club for a payer signature, the other part is they not buying average players that is what is available, if i go down memory lane for strikers in average clubs but are better than many strikers today, it tells you how the quality of players have dropped and all that is available now are just after money
