the insecurity in the country is purely political

yar adua had the militancy to battle, jonathan had the boko boys to manage, buhari/jubril had the secessionist ipob and co to battle, tinubu has bandits/kidnappers plus terrorism to battle.

as jonathan said some politicians are responsible, the heart of nigerians are extremely wicked. when buhari lost to jonathan he said it that he will make his government ungovernable and we all know how it ended.

i think its high time not to trust any politician especially those trying to rule at all means

If not..... I don't see the relevance of this information to the average Nigerian...

Hello Nairalanders, my friend got a lady pregnant and later discovered that both he and the lady's genotype are AS. Now he is confused because the lady is suggesting abortion but he is not In support of that.

He is confused because he don't know if the child will turn out SS but he wants to give luck a chance. Those with experience please advise.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
you are the one, it can favour you at the end, AA, AS and the dreaded SS so the kid can come out like any of the first or second

Mrs Babatunde, who's hubby was a Naval chief ! She used to bring the Nigerian Navy Band to come and play march-pass music during our Inter-House days ! Newland was a like an Ajebuta school amongst other schools in Tolu Schools' complex then ! Good old nostalgia!

Lol, oh yes indeed. Creek high school and TinCan Island secondary school with their old Jakande buildings. You know, I always wondered why the government didn't build and allocate 2-storey classroom buildings to some schools, while they did for others like Ojoku, Alakoto, Newland etc.

Those Principal cup days ! Lol. Newland was never a strong football-playing school. We used to get our ass whopped by United Christian Secondary School, Apapa, everytime. Was there a school in Tolu who used to go far in the Principals' cup ? I remember TinCan Island Secondary were doing well one year like that, but they eventually got pummeled by Gakiya College or was it Ansar-Ud-Deen High School.

I remember those years with a lot of fondness. I will do my best to visit Newland Secondary school this or next year.
yea you right, oshodi secondary was a very good team ideye brown was there then he went on to play for the super eagles, he was very good even at that time, i remember the brutal war we had with awodiora i almost lost my life remembering those years with mixed feelings

I attended Sea Breeze Primary School and Newland Secondary school, both in Tolu Schools' complex back in the day.

Newland was one of the schools that had new two-storey building classrooms then. Our school perimeter was fenced round with roofing sheets and the premises was always very well kept and we took great pride in keeping it very neat.

I'm surprised to read here that the whole Tolu schools' complex's buildings eventually fell into dilapidation.

Thumbs up to Lagos state government for this massive upgrade. Looking at the pictures here, I can't even recognise the place where Newland school would be.

I'm thinking of visiting the school, when next I'm in Nigeria, to donate something: maybe books, stationery, furniture etc.
newland and alakoto where one of the best out of the 16 secondary schools then. the principal of newland at some point the husband was a senior naval officer miss babatunde. temidire secondary and Greek with tin can where the worst. back then we usually had war lol between us and principal cup/shell cup was a reason for some. fun and treacherous days.

i was very brutal those days
